The Woman Who Took Down Her Scam Partner | This Morning

Lynn Hawes was single for the first time in 17 years when she met “John” online. He was the man of her dreams, until things started to unravel. Lynn was pulled into an elaborate international scam and, believing she was helping John release a £7 million inheritance, handed over £100,000 of her own money. Things were further complicated when, after becoming frustrated with John, his accomplice, “Doug” came into the mix. When she realised both men were scamming her, Lynn wanted revenge, plotting an elaborate sting with the police, leading to Doug’s (real name Ajibola Daudu) arrest. However, John has never been found.
