- Welcome to episode 3 of THE HUNT FOR BIG RED! In this episode where I continue my campaign on Willow Bank at Todber Manor for this beautiful creature - i end up catching something very unexpected! It's nice to finally start learning more about this lake and finding out how the fish move around the lake and where they're likely to be caught from!
With Big Red due out.. I was very confident that I had the dates right for another April capture! I wont go into too much detail but what I will say is.. my research on this fish is pretty accurate and I knew it was coming out this week!

Hi Aaron, Try adding a splash of water to the ridge monkey when cooking pizza's, will help prevent bottom from burning and will steam cook the top.
Haha cheers mate, I was also told to do this with my curry’s too! I’m getting a new stove soon so will make sure I do this next time! Thanks mate - can’t be hungry on the bank!
@South Coast Angler no need to add water to curry, just cook on low heat, low and slow!

Great you caught ! But I feel you should PVA! Bag all the time if you not going to cast to the mark you have found and hit the clip ... especially when you have put loads off freebies on that spot ! Then cast your bait 3/4 mtrs away .. and when your fishing any lake where you can't fish from the opposite bank !! Everyone casts to it ! The safe place for carp is your margin.. as tight as you can with a single bait .. hopefully this gives you something to think about ? Tight lines and look forward to more off your adventures 😀 one day big red !

Another great video Aaron. Willow bank is such a moody lake I’ve fished it load’s myself and seen big red come out once. Not by me 😂. Next time you’re there try peg nine along the reeds of the bend 🎣🐟
Hello mate - I’ve not fished all the swims yet so I’m sure I’ll get round to it at some point.. yeah it does seem like they swim in a sequence and that far bank seems to be one of their paths!

A little tip for cooking is brown cooking paper for pizza,,,,,same vibe as the “ toastie” bags if you wanna proper hot toastie without burnin it 🫡
