The follow up in 1993 was of course the Altima, but maybe Nissan should have given North America the Primera as a Nissan and not an Infiniti? Might have been too expensive? Still this Stanza was a good if bland car as the reviewers stated several times.
These actually were often compared premium models among other cars in its class. The Maxima was great, but it often was just a bit too spend for the new car buyer.
These were actually considered to be good little cars that were reliable, efficient, and dependable. For a Maxima, you would've paid several thousand dollars more. As for the Camry, blah...everyone had them.
@@texan903I had a 92 Stanza that ended up with 400k miles on it when I let my dad sell it to a lady he worked with after I got a new Spec V Sentra. That was back in 2006 and the thing is still driving around today.. still with original engine and 5 speed manual transmission. Damn thing was a smooth riding car and solid! I’d give up my 2022 Altima for that car any day!

Total blah car. Why would you buy that when there was the Maxima? With that smooth V6. This is like a poor mans Camry.
