not2fast4u2c - its not really that difficult actually, i used to take totally stock mowers ( minus deck) in the swamp behind my house years ago, really didnt get stuck all that much either. for a starter id say either a murray or older craftsman, do a slight pulley change( bigger on front, smaller on rear) , get a set of aggressive tires and youre ready to roll. i have plans for my 90s gt murray ( has the hood that opens like a car) - it has stock 1" front spindles, 1" rear axles, i got a winch, air compressor, and atv tires.
your tractor build is so damn sick bro. I still don't understand how you get the engine to rev so smooth and shift so smooth like you're driving a car. kudos
was a good ride... as always.... never better then riding with Mr. FEARLESSFRONT!!!...... had a blast buddy.... ready to go again? upgrades to castle have been made.... lets do it!!!!!
Dig the Murray Romp Vids. Watching you ride on the hood backwards and then seeing you back out of one of the long runs that you did eventually make, I gotta say I look forward to the day that someone makes a rear engine front wheel drive muddin' mower... Think it would be near unstoppable.
Great, and so cool, imagine pulling up next to a truck with muddy ATV's and your mowers have more mud on them!?! Spectacular, and amazing fun video! I have the same model Murray, and hope to do some of the same stuff you have done to yours, I also have a Non Racing-Racing Mower, which means not for any contests but just for my pleasure. Great stuff, and more Murray Vids, this was amazinging GREAT!
Great video! But when are you gonna convert that mower to 4 wheel drive? That would be another great build series....and make getting through those mud holes a bit easier
i have a husqvarna with hydro rearend,if i pulley swapped front, would it be a good canditate for a mud mower? it has ahuge gas tank under seat, and battery is mounted out of the way right below top of the hood.has 20hp kohler command engine.
Im trying to decide if i should use chains on my off road lawn mower with 23in turf savers or buy 25 vampires what do you think @FearlessFront? Btw its a 96 Murrary ultra garden tractor. At 6:02 Is when it got real.
Yea it's like 220$ for the vampires and new front tire's. Should i get new front tires or leave the stock 16 in tires? And also do you still have the craftsman crawler and the lifted mudding mower?
copy the design of tire chains but use some fat braided nylon rope... it does work the key is making them too small and inflating the tire inside... the last set I made lasted 3 winters but I have to make a new set this year for my offroader I'm building... I'll make a video of them when I get around to it..
FearlessFront (Todd Christopher) i have a kubota 3200 2 cylinder diesel that is fairly high already but i can walk faster than it, would it be a good mudding mower?
Mr Troollz if you are locked then you will probably want the grip on the front end for turning. and no, I got rid of the lifted and the Craftsman a while ago
Matthew Barnes you either need really aggressive tires or a locked differential and some moderately aggressive tires. I wouldn't run big aggressive tires and a locked differential together unless you have a good tranny and axle shafts.
Love watching romp footage, no such thing as too much! Hey Todd, have you considered putting Vampire tires on the Murray? Perhaps go an inch or 2 larger? I'd think the Murray would make short work of most of those mud holes then. Of course it may put a hurtin on your trans axle?
The fuel problem, maybe if you put the filter as close as you can to the gas tank so it is as straight up and down as possible, even if you have to loop the fuel line after the filter to make it work. Just a thought.
Love the vid!! as always great trail ride. always loved the Murry. Iv had a musty just like that for a derby mower and they are outstanding. stock or renforced
I never would have thought mowers could take that abuse. I have an old MTD with new 12.5, needs pully work. Is there any way around the double swinging pully?
I don't think my CASE would make that lol since for one its not a posi rear end and its hydraulic drive so it doesn't have the wheel speed....hey Todd do u think u could lock the rear end of my two CASES
Fearless could you at your earliest convenience extend your rear splash guards by oh let's say 2 inches so you may not cover the camera as often. If you can do this at your earliest convience that would be most appreciated
i pulled a brigs and strat 14.5hp engin ouy of an old murray with an automatic trans, and three it into a craftsman. 6 inch pulley in the front 4 in the back and I still have the govorner. clocked mine at 25mph, started wearing a helmet after that
I watched the atv carb swap, you were hauling ass in the back of your place, I'm wondering... htf did you get the steering so tight on the murray? my mower sways real bad if I'm cruising over 25
Hi Todd, I was wondering...ever had any problems because of the clutch/brake separation ? I mean...because you change gears while it's still moving, some people say the transmission and/or belts wear out because of it... Cheers!
@FearlessFront (Todd Christopher) is can you email me or message me on here I'm building the same type of mower I have the 17.5 motor but I have questions about the pulley swap I got a 41/2 on rear. and I'm going to put a 6in on front or might flip mower deck drive pulley over on the front but wondering what length belt I will need and need help with ungoverning the motor
I've been watching your vids for awhile and I'm considering building a 6x6 offroad mower with locked trans. just curious on your your thoughts if I'm crazy to try it or not
Fearless you had the bad ass lawn mowers of them all
I'm an old Guy 55 + and I just get a kick out of watching these videos ...I may build an off road mower some day !!!
not2fast4u2c - its not really that difficult actually, i used to take totally stock mowers ( minus deck) in the swamp behind my house years ago, really didnt get stuck all that much either. for a starter id say either a murray or older craftsman, do a slight pulley change( bigger on front, smaller on rear) , get a set of aggressive tires and youre ready to roll. i have plans for my 90s gt murray ( has the hood that opens like a car) - it has stock 1" front spindles, 1" rear axles, i got a winch, air compressor, and atv tires.
Money is tight for me ..But...I'm sure if I built one I could always sell it
check out MOWER OUTLAW
OK
not2fast4u2c Just bought one off craigslist for 80$... got it running for free and just ordered some atv tires for it .
your tractor build is so damn sick bro. I still don't understand how you get the engine to rev so smooth and shift so smooth like you're driving a car. kudos
Also I love your license plate haha I have a 2013 ram with the HEMI - great truck
was a good ride... as always.... never better then riding with Mr. FEARLESSFRONT!!!...... had a blast buddy.... ready to go again? upgrades to castle have been made.... lets do it!!!!!
Mower Outlaw I'm game!
are you talking about the Briggs 206?
Mill Hill Mud Mowers mst205 on todds but same thing. I run a 206, honestly 5-6 are so close it doesn't really matter which one your in anyways.
Make a corderoy over the deep hole lash small trees together like a mat.
cant wait to see you take the quadractor out. have you ever thought about making tracks for a mower? that would be pretty epic.
just going back and watching videos .. man i want to get me a tractor now just to change pulleys and play with that looks so much more fun than a quad
That Murray is the same as mine except a different engine. Awesome video!
At 11:15 that would be a badass video transition to credits or something! haha Great video man looked like a fun romp!
Dig the Murray Romp Vids. Watching you ride on the hood backwards and then seeing you back out of one of the long runs that you did eventually make, I gotta say I look forward to the day that someone makes a rear engine front wheel drive muddin' mower... Think it would be near unstoppable.
Love the long video. Man the murray sounds great.
Great, and so cool, imagine pulling up next to a truck with muddy ATV's and your mowers have more mud on them!?! Spectacular, and amazing fun video! outstanding. love your shows man. best on you tube and I've seen a lot of them.
Great video! But when are you gonna convert that mower to 4 wheel drive? That would be another great build series....and make getting through those mud holes a bit easier
Great video Todd. And yes, your videos are never to long. More more more 😜
Is the mini mower drivable
i have a husqvarna with hydro rearend,if i pulley swapped front, would it be a good canditate for a mud mower? it has ahuge gas tank under seat, and battery is mounted out of the way right below top of the hood.has 20hp kohler command engine.
Where did you guys get your guys riding l’amour tires from
i can shift while moving with my sears but i really have to be carefull to synchronise the engine rpm. its tricky. love your vids keep em up !
Think I went by your house near the fair grounds. Were abouts are these trails? I live in Augusta.
Im trying to decide if i should use chains on my off road lawn mower with 23in turf savers or buy 25 vampires what do you think @FearlessFront? Btw its a 96 Murrary ultra garden tractor.
At 6:02 Is when it got real.
Mr Troollz it's up in to you, I don't like using chains at high speed, so I would go with the tires. it cost a lot more though
Do you thing adding a fuel pump would help your fuel delivery problem even if it is gravity fed?
Thank you guys i really enjoy your videos it has inspired me to start my own
Really like your videos! Thumbs up as always! Keep up the videos!
"Talk about drinkin an drivin, such a good idea"😂😂😂😂
That looked like a hell of a good time! Damn, I gotta hook up with you guys for a ride one day and see if Fugazi can keep up!!!
+Sprocket's Garage you would be the guest of honor!
Hold that thought, and let's see how bad I do, first.... LOL!
If your 14.5 HP Briggs engine were to fail, what would you replace it with?
Keep up the longer vids and do a update on the Murray and redo the snorkel pipe on it
Would a tractor with unlocked differential be able to do anything like this?
+Matthew Barnes the guy I'm riding with is unlocked
Matthew Barnes you either need really aggressive tires or a locked differential and some moderately aggressive tires. I wouldn't run big aggressive tires and a locked differential together unless you have a good tranny and axle shafts.
Ok, thanks! By the way I really enjoy your videos.
Love watching romp footage, no such thing as too much! Hey Todd, have you considered putting Vampire tires on the Murray? Perhaps go an inch or 2 larger? I'd think the Murray would make short work of most of those mud holes then. Of course it may put a hurtin on your trans axle?
Not too long at all. Love watching a good time!!
The fuel problem, maybe if you put the filter as close as you can to the gas tank so it is as straight up and down as possible, even if you have to loop the fuel line after the filter to make it work. Just a thought.
hey man I'm building a mud mower and trying to figure out my gear ratio what are you running I got a 6 to 3 right now but my next gets to hot
Still watching Fearless in 2019
Love the vid!! as always great trail ride. always loved the Murry. Iv had a musty just like that for a derby mower and they are outstanding. stock or renforced
dude you need to bring the quadracter on a romp
When you are mudding at 11:30 but have to cut grass at 12
Very nice fearless, love your videos man ! Keep it up
how do u keep your belt from slipping when u get in water?
i wonder how long till he builds a 4x4 tactor
How many speeds are in the transmission of yours?
when did u film this I looks like September not late November
what wood the best moter for my mudmower
I was wondering if a starter motor from Amazon is worth it????
Change the front tires and make them smoother
how's it going
the murray is so badass
hey, I was just wondering where you found the tires for the front of the Murray. I have looked on ebay and have had no luck. thanks
Y are you not making new vids
This is just a suggestion. I love your videos regardless. Have you considered 4K video/ 1440p?
Fearlessfront, does your mower not flex in the front?
I never would have thought mowers could take that abuse. I have an old MTD with new 12.5, needs pully work. Is there any way around the double swinging pully?
I think fearless should bring back the craftsman crawler
he cld get mad speed swith the transaxle pulley to like a 1 1/2 or 2 inch damn tht thing wld fly
11:40 reverse cowgirl is the 🗝
Have you tried Armor-all on the GoPro case?
Yeah those Craftsman axles suck. Need to get one from a GT6k.
Keystone Motorsports no, but I want to try rain-x
I think that the Murray does better in watery mud and the sears does better in thick mud
FearlessFront (Todd Christopher) You could also try putting a snow and ice repellent on the GoPro, might work even better then rainx
Great romp!
fearless its time for a 4x4 mower build, maybe use some atv componets to make it happen?
How do you get your mowers to run like that, like your speed and gearing and such
Sound like a 4wheeler going through there
I don't think my CASE would make that lol since for one its not a posi rear end and its hydraulic drive so it doesn't have the wheel speed....hey Todd do u think u could lock the rear end of my two CASES
Put some more aggressive tires on the Murry it will go a heck lot better
hammering down ehh. Good riding trails!!
@fearlessfront, what kind of carb do you have on the motor?
What pulley sizes do you have?
You should put a Kohler V-Twin in the Murray
good ride wish i could have been there with ya
do you have a way I can get in touch with you man I have some questions on a murry mower I'm building
sweet ride vlog. Finnaly some mud. 👍
Rail tires in the front would help
My bolens st120 with a stock front pullie witch I think it is a 1 inch and a 2 inch rear dose 30 and it is governed
i was wondering how fast does the murry go?
Just Awesome !! NO its not too long.
Fearless could you at your earliest convenience extend your rear splash guards by oh let's say 2 inches so you may not cover the camera as often. If you can do this at your earliest convience that would be most appreciated
the fruit of your labour
I love your videos looks like so much fun. Def would love to ride with u guys n have some fun. lol
Lookin good brother keep up the vids I love em
i pulled a brigs and strat 14.5hp engin ouy of an old murray with an automatic trans, and three it into a craftsman. 6 inch pulley in the front 4 in the back and I still have the govorner. clocked mine at 25mph, started wearing a helmet after that
You could try shortening the fuel lines
I watched the atv carb swap, you were hauling ass in the back of your place, I'm wondering... htf did you get the steering so tight on the murray? my mower sways real bad if I'm cruising over 25
you need to do more videos an more back tires
What type of carb you running on the Murray?
What state you guys In I'm building 2 mud mowers would like to ride with yha
Hi Todd, I was wondering...ever had any problems because of the clutch/brake separation ? I mean...because you change gears while it's still moving, some people say the transmission and/or belts wear out because of it...
Cheers!
@FearlessFront (Todd Christopher) is can you email me or message me on here I'm building the same type of mower I have the 17.5 motor but I have questions about the pulley swap I got a 41/2 on rear. and I'm going to put a 6in on front or might flip mower deck drive pulley over on the front but wondering what length belt I will need and need help with ungoverning the motor
AWESOME BOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
I've been watching your vids for awhile and I'm considering building a 6x6 offroad mower with locked trans. just curious on your your thoughts if I'm crazy to try it or not
put a fuel pump with a return line back to the tank
THIS IS GREAT
I'm going riding tomorrow, wish me luck!
put itp mud lifted on the mini off-road mower
pretty cool
Are you still selling stickers
