My whole career was Silicon Valley. It took a LOT of time to unwind from that. And some of it will always be in me (loving to learn new tch etc). I was nomadic for 3 years after I stopped working. Thanks for stopping by!
You came up on my UA-cam homepage feed and I subscribed!!! A new 54 years young creator here, 1 week on YT now and I agree with you, I'm finding so much value in starting my channel at midlife! The creative outlet is wonderful and it's given me and my husband of 34 years a new adventure to focus on together💓💓💓
I love this! I'll hop over and check out your channel. It IS a new adventure with the spouses as well. We've been married 34 years this year, too and we've had so many great conversations about topics and he gives me really helpful feedback. I'll add that to the list of benefits.
You showed up in my feed which proves that YT is pushing out small channels!! I started my channel because I wanted to help people .. I realized very quickly that I was gaining way more from this journey than I was giving.. it has been a life changing eye opener!! Thank you for the reminder. I subscribed!!
Love this. I’m right there with you. Even though I’ve had my channel for a while, now at 49 years old, I’m in the process of revamping & being intentional about sharing more memoir based content about work, life, relationships, & everything in between. Thanks for your video.
Hi, Kris. I love that small, mid life creators are popping up on my feed more and more. The algorithm is getting clued in to what I want to see! If it was just about monetization, I'd have been gone long ago. There are so many more benefits. But a little money would be nice too. Lol
A little extra money never hurts, but the other benefits are much more long lasting. Thanks for stopping by. I'm so glad the algorithm sent you my way.
Happy you came across my feed, I’m also new a new creator at 54. Only at 27 sub after 1 month, but I guess it will take time. Looking forward to your new videos. 👍
I feel like I just made a new friend, and we've been sitting in a field talking, completely ignoring the dangers lurking in the trees 😂 But really, this video speaks to me. My channel has helped me so much. I love having the creative outlet and expressing myself. I love connecting and reaching like-minded people. What you said about learning and that feeling of accomplishment. Thank you for this video! New subscriber here! ❤ I'll be binge watching your previous videos in the next few days!
Hello, Michele! So great to meet you. And thanks for stopping by and watching. It's connections like these fuel me and I love the picture you painted of sitting in a field ignoring the dangers 🤣 I live not too far from the park I was in and a day later I had a baby chayote pass by my apartment in broad daylight. I think it's a sign of some sort. Anyway, I look forward to getting to know you and I'll check out your channel!
Think about it for a while and then DO IT. Some of the best advice I got was to not hesitate. You really can't learn how to do it until you actually do it and it takes time. Good luck!
Audio sounds great! I LOVE your intro! Well done. Kris! I’m so impressed with your videos. You have a beautiful way of pulling your audience in. Speaking of great story telling! You’re great at that as well. I’m such a visual gal that I love listening to you with all your b-rolls that keep the viewer interested! I’m so happy to be here with you. Encouraging each other and learning new things and sharing our lives here on youtube as fellow GenX creators❤ I can relate with this space giving us purpose. After 31 years working at a job I hated, this is so much more fun and I’m making zero money however I’m just loving this new chapter. I feel like a better human because I decided to do this new creative adventure. Lots of love Kris! Let’s keep going! Those wild coyotes were WILD!!!
lot of great nuggets in here that got me thinking. I really liked your points! So true about how you see things differently when you have a creator mindset, and it can be really fulfilling.
Thank you for doing "all the things!" I so enjoyed your video on the Olympics and representation. The ceremonies seemed to do a better job than I had expected, but coming from a white, American perspective I wasn't sure if I was getting that right. Hearing your perspective was so helpful.
Hahaha the coyotes… ur face ❤😂. Too funny. Just dropping onto some of your other videos… found you from the Sayulita video. Cause I’m starting a UA-cam channel and also making plans to head down there. Fingers crossed for November.
It is so much more than monetizing… it’s creative freedom, learning new things. I love your viewpoint. 😊
Thank you!
Great to see you on my feed! I spent the last 26 years in Silicon Valley and an nomadic now. I am also a small channel mid-life content creator 😊

@@RobinsonKris ❤️🙏
It's kind of challenging for me as English isn't my first language. I'm crossing my fingers though.
Good luck with your channel! My best advice is that you learn the most by doing it, so start as soon as you can.
@@RobinsonKris Thank you
I have the same problem but I just took a chance and going with it 😊
