OMG. You hit the nail on the head! I've been poor and rich. There is NO DIFFERENCE. I can buy anything I want but still choose to purchase my clothes at Goodwill. My car is 15 years old. Our house is a modest 3 BR in the midwest. The only difference is being able to fund my grandchildren's education and take my family on vacation. Oh yes. My luxury? Turning left when I get on a long haul flight.
My journey from poor to rich taught me one thing. People like you better when they think they are better off than you. We have fewer good friends now. We don't get invited to everyone's backyard barbecue. No one calls us just to hang out. If we throw a party people will look around at our house and think "I could never have them over my place because they would poo-poo our house". We take group bus tours to foreign places just as much to meet new people as to see the sights.
SO true, but many people are not realizing that money is just a tool to make their life easier. It will be defeating the purpose of money when they live to the point it hurt themselves just to save some money. Not telling you blow money blindly but use it when necessary, with your physical and emotional wellbeing as the center
I would argue that I do want more “zeros” at my death bed I don’t want to die broke. I agree that I cannot take anything with me, but that’s not the reason why I want more zeros in my bank account. The reason why I want more zeros in my bank account is because that is what I’m leaving behind . My family will be left with debt and burdens. I want to leave a financial blessing behind. A legacy of being responsible with what the Lord gave me. It’ll give me peace, knowing that they don’t have to open a GoFundMe account to bury me.
Great content, as always! I need some advice: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
@@IrisP989It averages probably about 300, because some months I buy nothing and other months it's like 100 bucks and sometimes I even spend over 500 But to do this, there's other areas that don't get splurged on, for example my car is paid off and is 13 years old (runs great)
I see no problem there! As long as your spending on what gives you joy, thats all that matters. It’s when the spending is for others that people get into trouble

Haha love this, I’m the same when it comes to travel! Everything else, if it gets the job done then all is fine with me.
I never felt the need to compete. I don’t care what people think. I’m quite fortunate
My uncle is a multi millionaire his net worth is 4-5 million he drives a 2017 VW Jetta and wears his old jeans and flannel shirt 😅
Your uncle is doing it right haha!

Man i really love the true side of you! We need more realness and deepness in this world
Thanks for the comment! My plan is to add in more personal finance content in 2025!

Exactly this. Money is a tool. It’s not the goal. The goal is to use it in a way that makes you happy.
Welp, i definitely dont have the choice to look poor :/
The thumbnail just screams “This is what a rich person’s impression of a poor person looks like” 😂
🤣🤣🤣

Very true!
That’s fair! Definitely don’t want it to zero out and leave burden for family!

Great points. I do splurge on clothing though, clothes make the man
How much money do you spend on clothes per month?

Charlie Munger before died he did wish he made trillions and instead of Billions though.
I definitely look poor! 😆
I look poor but not by choice 😢
I want to become rich because I need to keep up with the Liangs, not the Jones!
🤣🤣🤣
