Keyboards are playing 3 bars of 8/8 then one bar of 9/8, adding up to 33 beats.

This album is one of their most different sounding they've done, definently the most pop like they've released. I strongly urge you to listen to more of their stuff. Especially Polygondwanaland if you want a head on dive on their most progressive side, that album is their masterpiece imo

Welcome to the Gizzverse, Justin! Honestly this band are one of the greatest rock bands of the 21st century, and have slowly become one of my favourite bands! The album that got me in to them and subsequently blew my mind was I'm In Your Mind Fuzz, which is still my personal favourite.
Seeing them live is really a truly unique experience, as they attract music fans from all sorts of realms of culture, and more importantly... King Gizzard are one of the most prolific and amazing live bands you will see without question!
First time seeing them was at the Electric Ballroom, which left me speechless because of how fucking great it was! Seen them a few times since, and the last time was at Alexandra Palace which they sold out without any major label promotion or advertising whatsoever. Just purely an independent effort built on their fanbase, and DIY independent ethos, and they sold the damn place out. Absolutely marvellous.

As an Autistic, KGLW as a special interest has been a saving grace. Their rapid output, diverse styles, meddling with time signatures (Ataraxia comes to mind), the Gizzverse, the weird- and kindness of the Gizzheads as well as the oddball and likeable personality of the guys. You can practically listen to multiple bands while only listening to Gizz. And, as a guitarist, I'm slightly obsessed with both Joey's and Stu's ways of playing, each for their own reasons. Flightless in general has some grand guitarists under their name (Cal Shortal of The Murlocs!!).

JELLYFISH!!!! :) One of my all time favorite bands. I bought their first album Bellybutton in 1991 at the BX on Ramstein Airbase in Germany. I was a senior in High School. Superb album. Their second album, Spilt Milk, took a few listens to adjust my ears to, but eventually I found it to be even better than the first. Jason Faulkner, the keyboardist, did a couple of wonderful Beatles cover albums called Bedtime With The Beatles...the best Beatles covers ever. Also I recently discovered The Lickerish Quartet, which has 3 of the members of Jellyfish. I love that we grew up during the same era of music. My senior year, Class of 92...Gosh, talk about an incredible year for music. Has there been a year since 91-92 that has impacted popular music so drastically? What I appreciate about this band is that they are truly experimental within their genre. Especially in Rock, being "experimental" is a term often used for bands who just tap into other Genres. Not a bad thing, but this isn't doing anything for the evolution of Rock itself necessarily (which is why it's still considered a "dead" genre). King Gizzard on the other hand brings something to the table that you won't just find in other Genres, if you want more of their sound you'll have to stick with their discography.

King Gizzard... they're new to me and I think they're pretty damn interesting. As someone who believes popular music basically fell off the Earth at some point in the 90s, it's always exciting to find a new band worthy of exploration. The last time that happened for me was about 3 years ago with Steam Powered Giraffe.
As for you, I think you're pretty interesting too. Clever, witty, good musician, and delivering interesting content in a short/easy to digest format... perfect for the modern viewer who requires Short Attention Span Theater, as well as old bastards like me trying to absorb as much knowledge and entertainment before I die... which can't be much longer now. Anyway, I'm subscribing to see where your channel heads going forward.
Go back three more decades to find the best Australian band ever, the Hoodoo Gurus (legal disclaimer - from an American perspective so take that into account). They're just your basic garage rock band...done right... really right. Great melodies and catchy hooks, interesting and slightly funny lyrics. "My girlfriend lives in the ground... I take her flowers each day, I place them over her grave... you can't bury love, you gotta dig it up". Good options for an introduction to the Hoodoo Gurus include the songs Tojo, I Was a Kamikaze Pilot, Show Some Emotion, The Middle of the Land, Come Anytime, and the groovy dance track Miss Free Love.

They have been going since 2010 and are about to release their 20th album. Wikipedia has this list as their genre . Time to add some more to that list 😁 Album 10 sounds like a return to their psychedelic roots (but they have only put out one track at this time, a 14min track...)
