Nevermind, just fixed it. On Fold 5 had to pull up the keyboard on the cover screen and turn off the button on the bottom of keyboard. It's not there when the phone is opened. Doing so on Fold closed fixes when it's opened. What a pain of an update this was.

@@zanechristiansen If you're using Gboard, pull up the keyboard and on that HUGE bar left corner there should be an icon that looks like a keyboard. Click that and it should go back to normal. Hope it's the same for you. I was hating my phone after the update.

thank you for the perfect video to fix what I found to be a deal breaker for the new 6.1 update! I discovered that you can uninstall good lock right after making the changes, so you don't need to keep the app around after implementing these changes :)

On s23 ultra there is no option to remove gesture hint option after updatin to one ui 6.1, there was on one ui 6. I have only s pen gesture option and the sensitivity option.
You can fix it right away. Install the latest version of Goodlock + NavStar (6.1.05 v). And only in the latest version there is an option called "Enable extra gesture settings". Turn it on and then go back to the standard settings of the display, then navigation bar-more options-"Gesture hint" and turn it off.
6.0 in s23u was best. Took the plunge for AI in 6.1, am on latest security patch. Thank you, this worked. Hope everything will be sorted in future updates.

The prove is you can uninstall ‘Good Lock,’ and the ‘gesture hint' option will still remain even after restarting your phone. Unfortunately, I doubt I’ll be as lucky with a future system update. (Tested in a Samsung Galaxy S21+ 5G)

Thanks a ton, this was annoying the hell out of me since I used the back button and switch apps constantly for work. I really don't look forward to UI updates, I use nova and fully customize my themes and Samsung only knows how to break things rather than add new features and tweak things. Forcing Goodlock installation to access options that used to be available stock is a joke. They should just make Goodlock a basic install, it has so many awesome features and customization stuff hidden away from regular users.
Why can't they just leave well enough alone??? Stupid, stupid, stupid to have to install another app just to get my swipe navigation bar to work properly.

Halo Sir.. thank you for sharing, it helps alot to me with dissapearing the bar. There is a couple of failure after the update on AI version, as it effect my previous daily use. I thought it might interest you to shout out loud to Samsung the failure. 1. No option on ringtone / vibrate on application, such as SMS (usually press long on app, top right corner there is i and that menu have option for vibrate and change ringtone). 2. On secure folder app and 2nd app such as Whatsapp, keyboard is high up (a bar of 1cm at bottom of the screen) than normal. I have called Samsung Customer Service regarding this, but seems they do not respond quickly. I was thinking maybe you are interested on this and to expose the failure update and have Samsung's attention. Thank you, and sorry if i offend in anyway of my words to you 🙏

Hey, Greg. How do you get rid of that line on the bottom of the phone I just got the 6 stop 1 update todand I've looked in the settings because I have to ask 20 to ultra. There is no way to turn that bar at the bottom of the phone off. Do you got any suggestions?
Unfortunately Navstar nor Good lock is found on my store. Am using s21 ultra. Downloaded NavStar from other source and is unable to open and after a leap of faith, settings does not recognize it either. Sucks.
I'm really annoyed that the navigation bar I used isn't available to choose anymore 🙁 it was like a cross between the buttons and swipe gestures. Totally taken out of the phone as an option.
I always had the swipe from bottom bar that dissappeared with the update good to know I had had download 2 extra things to my phone to get back what I originally had.
