@57:30 This is 100% wrong. Because SP "has to resolve as much as possible" as they said, it is sent to the GY together with the other banished card. We have rulings on it from Redoer and Omega and even dedicated ones like the following:
- If you banished 2 of your own monsters and you only have 1 MMZ, you may return 1 and the other goes to GY.
- If you banished an opponent's monster and when SP tries to return ONLY your zones are full, then the opponent will get their monster.
- The reverse is also true, you will get your SP and the opponent's monster will go to GY if ONLY their zones are full.
- Thank god Kaiser Colosseum is banned here and I don't have to explain it as well.
Final note, a monster sent to the gy this way is "returned" by "game mechanics" thus cards like Tear/Shaddolls and even BA won't trigger. (the ruling gives Garura as an example)

correct, it doesn't have to destroy both
The relevant wording is: "Destroy them"
Otherwhise it would say: "Destroy both (those) targets"
Keep in mind, for princess to summon out it has to (try to) destroy at least one of the monsters. If for some reason none of the targeted monsters is left on the field, princess can't reborn.

The S:P coming back ruling was wrong. It will attempt to return and be unable to so they will be sent to the GY by game mechanics. It will not trigger any "Sent to the GY" effects because they are "returned" not sent.

33:10 are you sure that ponix effects works the same as garunix? I think you cant special summon the ponix if you just searched it because it wasnt in your hand.
It works, same ruling as Gazelle + Mining
Ponix eff doesnt recognize that island destroyed a monster but Garunix eff does allow it to recognize a monster being destroyed.
Was in hand at Resolution so it can trigger, same as Gazelle

Yup princess doesn’t need to pop both monsters to reborn but it needs to be able to pop at least one to be able to reborn.

15:04 @Pak isnt it better to talent take to either force sp or steal drago and go into battle? Then afterwards activate wanted pitch for witch and they continue play? If he doesn't banish drago and you run over sp you can add witch send drago and ash is live again
Yeah thats what i thought aswell, talent to take makes it really weird for the opponent. Once Dragostapelia isnt on the opponents side again you can even use SE Ash summon eff. Keep in mind Beatrice is possible to activate aswell or sprind could bounce a summon.

The Lab player's strategy doesn't work. After activating Welcome Labrynth, he's locked into fiends so he can't summon diabellestar or loop Rollback with the trap etc.
Welcome Lab fiend locks from deck and extra deck, so summoning Diabellestar from hand or GY is perfectly legal

Respectfully I don’t agree with how the end board of game one came to be. Summoning witch was unnecessary and you ended up with a board that not only could of search the kirin from grave, it could of ended with an 2 negate Apollousa which is good in the off chance they run super poly and use turn player priority to super poly flamberge and link, leaving you with less interruptions.

So funny the only one wrong about sp coming back and going to GY was the head judge.
They do go to GY. If only 1 of them was Pak's, the other one would have returned normally.
Also you can't search Ponix with island and summon Ponix. Garunix is special because it literally says on the card that you can SS from your hand even if it wasn't in your hand before the destruction happens. ("or from your hand (even if not)")
Ponix needs to already be in your hand.
You can definitely search ponix with island after popping a fire and trigger ponix effect in the hand to special itself. The reason garunix is worded the way it is is because it can also summon itself from the GY. The precedent here is salamangreat gazelle. You can use cynet mining discarding a card to search gazelle and if the discard was a salad monster gazelle triggers in hand to summon even tho it wasn't there when the salad was discarded for mining.

Im pretty sure it works because of the wording. Destroy and summon happens simultaneously. But summon only happens if something got destroyed.
If it wouldn't work, you for example also couldnt use Visas Starfrost hand effect with a full board. Kinda wouldn't make sense to me.

Funny as an OCG player, I told people on YGO Reddit may moons ago not to underestimate the deck and that fire decks are going to take over the meta. They told me that the reason why the deck did well was solely because of Maxx C and that it would lose to other meta contenders like mannadium and unchained as there is no Maxx C stopping them. Lmao

2 different games for one. Game 2 ended at 15:40 and then Ash was Summoned off of Original so that's why he can use his normal summon for Oak

If it's banished face-down it doesn't get the effect. It's considered unknown knowledge and can't activate

Like say your opponent use Lightning Storm calling monsters, if you chain Flamberge to summon, I:P will just die to Storm before she can ever use her effect. There's other instances as well. If you shotgun Flamberge, you have the flexibility of chaining I:P directly to whatever you want instead of waiting for a chain to resolve. This can be a huge difference maker in the way the gamestate plays out.
@@michaelmorales1602 I Rhino at that and came to this conclusion: summon ip in draw help you play around mind control and coh on apo that would really hurt, while summon ip late rin main plays around thrust into Soul release that also hurt a lot.
Lightning Is irrelevant cuz no one will side lightning against Fire king.
So it's Just about what carda Will be more played in the meta between thrust or coh/mind control

Ponix has the same hand effect as Sacred Garunix so it does work like that... the (even if not) clause on Garunix is only there to specify that it's either from the hand or graveyard.
I'm pretty sure ponix can't summon like that. The even if not is what allows garunix to add then summon

Min33 U cant special phoenix cause it has to be in his effect. You can only special garunix cause it clearly says: You can special it even if this card wasn‘t in your hand at this time
