Firt of all, I absolutely love this song, I think it's my favourite one on this new amazing album. Someone talked about Linkin Park, others about Rise against ... I like them too, but I prefear Sum 41 BUT I just realized this amazing intro is just like The Rollinh Stones - The last time ... it's the same notes, with a different rythm. Just saying, it doesn't mean Sum 41 are bad and steal others songs, they said they love the Stones so it's normal they are inspired by them, they both rock ^^
Listening to this whole album right now lol can’t believe this is 10 years ago lmao I remember rocking out to this album when it came out in 2011 I was 15 one of my favourite albums

Depends on the album pretty much. "Underclass Hero" was definitely a Pop-Punk album, for example. But I like to think their first few earlier albums were more on the punk/alternative side. As far as this album goes, it gave me more of an "emo" vibe. Probably just because of the album cover lol. This album is definitely more on the alternative side of things though, like 'Rise Against'
I would agree that this album is pure punk and alternative, seemed like they wanted to go a little post-hardcore. But their earlier albums would've definitely been classified under pop punk
