Loving the blue wheels on the hatch back and that is so cool how the defusser looks mounted up keep us posted on performance gains at the track with it I bet downforce will be incredible
so sick! love the way the diffuser looks and cannot wait for the side skirts and the splitter! also the turn down sounds amazing and i love the dust it kicks up :D keep up the good work Jon!
Man it looks really cool with the diffuser tough as hell. Exhaust sounds savage man I like it. I like that it's your track car and looks clean. Always great videos man.
Diffuser looks amazing , sounds great . I made my own pci rep side skirts just used some sheet metal and some aluminum to bend up some brackets and rivnuts to mount to the body
That's exactly what I had in mind with one small difference. I was going to weld nuts to the body instead of just tapping it with those bolts. Thanks for the pics, much appreciated!!
Yep the video he posted up yesterday I believe. It him installing a Volvo lip on his ek. So I learned 2 things from his video. 1 the Volvo lip actually fits a Honda and looks sexy and 2 found out about your channel.
I’ve been watching your videos for awhile, just realized you’re in EP! I’m stationed in Alamogordo, imma have to head out there at check out your cars!
Sounds good! Maybe you're free June 30th? We'll all be at the racetrack in Akela Flats, NM for a Superlap day. You could meet everyone and hang out and go for some ride alongs.
Lookin good as always Jon! Maybe see if your mate GregParts can make you a filler piece for the rear bumper where the old exhaust came out. Would give it a nice finish.
I have that same piping although mine came from DNA motoring and the "resonator" near the cat is not actually a resonator, just some bigger piping to make it seem like it. So I bought a jones resonator to see if it will quiet it down a bit.
Mine is an eBay one too. Let me know how it sounds with a different resonator. I don't mind the sound of it, but always love trying to get the best sound possible.
Loving the new rear diffuser, sounds good too! nice and throaty not like them fucking fart cans! The evolution is real! Its coming along so nice! Great work and upload as always my homie! You the mann!!!👌👍👍👍👊✌
Thanks Juju, just be careful you don't have a leaky gas tank. K20CRX commented that he had done the same, but had a leaking gas tank and it caused a fire. 😨. Just be cautious!
I really like how it sounds!! I am make some skirts out of alum right now for a 4 gen prelude and i am only on version 25 lol I cant seem to get the ends right and how much of a bend to put on them. The 1st ones were straight down. And they were really bad looking . Can’t wait to see you skirts
I love driving it right now I just really want to get it a little faster I just put a cold air intake on the stock intake was in trash condition but everything else is perfect
I was totally going to say that. Even if it is an under engine skidplate/drip pan that would reduce drag under the car. Running a tiny bit of rake on the car to give more angle of attack on the diffuser.
Garage Built Hondas I have a 1991 Civic si and I was curious because my car is Canadian and it was mandated in 1989 in Canada to have daytime running lights and I also read in my owners manual saying it has them maybe there’s something wrong with the car or did Honda lie lol
sucks the Enkei's aren't 8" wide because they look awesome with the white. Sounds good for what it is, not too loud considering the length of the exhaust.
It'd be awesome if they had originally made them in 8". It doesn't seem like any companies made wheels wide back then. I see a lot of 6", 6.5", and 7" on old school wheels.
Garage Built Hondas: I know, I'd kill for a set of Spoon SW388 in an 8" wide setup. We switched our race car over to 9" wide but they required some pulling and rolling
Harbor freight flux core welder? I keep my settings at 3-4 for the wire feed speed... and power set to “min” 8/10 times I usually get pretty solid welds for a flux... well at least I think they’re alright haha When I’m welding I try to go pretty slow and I overlap...Not trying to seem like I know it all.. hell I don’t even think I’m doing it right myself.. but it seems to work, so I’m running with it till I become a UA-cam certified flux core welding master.
Yo John just picked up a 90 DX EF sedan and it has the passenger mirror block off do you know if any 88-91 passenger mirror will fit or it year/model specific? Love the vids keep em coming !
Garage Built Hondas yo john appreciate the reply. I went to my local yard and picked up a 88 sedan mirror hoping it would fit and to my surprise it didnt. I later found a 91 mirror that does fit on my 90 sedan! I compared the 2 and the base plates are indeed different. I would assume then that 88 89 are diff from 90 91. Just thought I'd share! Keep the vids coming 👌
Hello! Subscriber from Portugal, one question. I don't think so with a stock exhaust. And the mounting brackets won't work because the wagons have a different rear subframe so you would need to make a custom bracket.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWww omg that looks so sex my boy. Before I got my muffler installed my exhaust, was this like this but fumes was bad inside the cabin at stop lights tho.
Thabks Ricko!! It's looking better every time! Exhaust fumes? Gross, I can imagine. I probably wouldn't have done this to any of my other cars but since I pretty much only take this to the track now it won't bother me.
I bet you're the man who could be first to design and install, on UA-cam, the first ghetto blown-diffuser. Not that this tech on a civic hatch older than 92% of your viewers would create any physically measurable skidpad benefit... but ignoring, even, the precedence of meaningless aero add-ons as a 'founding fathers' mod category in the import compact scene, such a rolling physics lesson could be the perfectly-timed evolutionary step declaring the technoloigical literacy of scene adherents as the world reawakens to the mechanical and kinetic artistry once deployed by internal combustion's poet laureate, HoMoCo. For awaken, many will one morning behind the 'controls' of the rolling network node taking them to their reception receptacle at half the speed it did the day before because it had to update its security software overnight and after rebooting had a crisis of confidence. Then, then they will see with clear eyes the Haiku Honda created with its EF plaform. When they do you will be the messenger, and you will show them that more than pure nostalgia drives this passion, that it is, in fact, a University, a campus of creative thought and hands-on engineering. A school of physics theory and practice; It is the space for creative failures and success, and even a path to a life of recognition, respect, resources and wealth. The art of simplicity is that it creates a canvas for the viewer, the driver, the engineer to project themselves upon. No......? OK, you can't say I didn't try. ;>} Great video, really. BTW, anyone with bona fide Honda skills and tools looking for work near Victoria BC, Canada, I've likely got something for each of the specialities this summer on a DB2, full OEM survivor that I'm keen to properly restmod, incl running its numbers-matching b17a1 NA, provided the block etc is healthy .....Also looking for Mugen skirts, l ip, nr10r's and M7's. I know th ey cost actual money if they're actually Mugen. Rebarreled will be considered.(sorry for the hijack. and as an aside, dude, I just checked and three million people have watched your videos to date! Or a few of us have watched a couple hundred thousand times each, but either is really impressive. You're an opinion-maker now.)
And working on a Phd thesis, "Active Aerodynamics and fluidic flow theory in Honda Club racing". For some reason I like to write arcane and incomprehensible things after your videos. Things written to make me laugh while I'm writing them but I mean no disrespect, rather quite the opposite. Yes, it is an odd way of showing it, I agree.
Loving the blue wheels on the hatch back and that is so cool how the defusser looks mounted up keep us posted on performance gains at the track with it I bet downforce will be incredible
That exhaust sounds awesome. Not too loud not to quiet.
The civic keeps on getting better! 🖒 love the way the diffuser looks and the exhaust sound!
Awesome, I love the way those blue Enkei wheels look.
Thanks brotha!
so sick! love the way the diffuser looks and cannot wait for the side skirts and the splitter!
also the turn down sounds amazing and i love the dust it kicks up :D
keep up the good work Jon!
Thanks E Honda, it's the rooster tail effect, they send me out onto the track first to dust it off. Haha
Man it looks really cool with the diffuser tough as hell. Exhaust sounds savage man I like it. I like that it's your track car and looks clean. Always great videos man.
Thanks Julius, all the work of swapping the parts paid off!
Diffuser looks amazing , sounds great . I made my own pci rep side skirts just used some sheet metal and some aluminum to bend up some brackets and rivnuts to mount to the body
Pics I can see?
Garage Built Hondas how to I upload a picture?
Do you have an Instagram? Or you can email me at garagebuilthondas@yahoo.com
Garage Built Hondas msg sent any questions let me know
That's exactly what I had in mind with one small difference. I was going to weld nuts to the body instead of just tapping it with those bolts. Thanks for the pics, much appreciated!!
Honda Street Garage sent me here and I'm so glad he did. Awesome vids man.
Wow, really? I love it thanks! Did he mention me in a video lately?
Yep the video he posted up yesterday I believe. It him installing a Volvo lip on his ek. So I learned 2 things from his video. 1 the Volvo lip actually fits a Honda and looks sexy and 2 found out about your channel.
Oh sweet, I haven't had a chance to watch it but I'm glad you came by to check it out!!
Damn digging the rear diffuser, blue rims and the piping setup. Sounds very nice.
Thanks redmachine, can't wait to see some more H2B runs. Might have to go that direction someday!!
Those wheels make anything look good 👍👌.....but the yellow crx looks the best with them....clean ef🔥🔥🔥
It's crazy huh?!? I agree on the blue with yellow! They'll be back on there for sure, just needed rollers for now!
It’s the color n the detail lol the enkie decals set it off 😍🔥👍
Looks great!! A DIY side skirts and front splitter!!
Coming soon I hope!
Didn't thinkbthe diffuser would have required so much interaction with the muffler. Clean fit and overall great look! Aero +10
Might possibly have to make more piping and do a side exit for safety.
Garage Built Hondas would be unique, and safe!
That's the goal, safe!
blue wheels at the moment look really great ...diffuser awesome look.. great quality video as always
Thanks man!
Love the way the car looks. Have a white hatch and gonna have to find this splitter now
Great job man! Diffuser install looks really clean. Really gives the car a serious look and the exhaust note is mean as well. Great job!!
Appreciate that man!!
Great video and tutorial. With the welds, I find that using a lower heat setting will reduce the splatter of welding beads.
I'll give that a shot also next time!
I have an ED7 too same color it looks good! Super clean !
That is sick!! Some side skirts would look nice.
Just got in from working on mine. Great job as usual Jon
👍😀
It looks good! I saw it at the track day and gave me the itch to get one for my car.
Do it, especially with your power!
Sick doesn’t look like track car anymore love it ❤️
Thanks Manny!
sounds awesome i have a 91 DX hatchback im building into a track car love the content
Thanks man, got an IG, maybe I can follow your progress!?
I’ve been watching your videos for awhile, just realized you’re in EP! I’m stationed in Alamogordo, imma have to head out there at check out your cars!
Excellent! Hit it up!
I followed you on IG, I’ll dm you there. One of these weekends I’ll head out and we can chill! Maybe you can give some insight on my EF also lol.
Sounds good! Maybe you're free June 30th? We'll all be at the racetrack in Akela Flats, NM for a Superlap day. You could meet everyone and hang out and go for some ride alongs.
Check your DM on Instagram, I’ll message you there man.
Lookin good as always Jon! Maybe see if your mate GregParts can make you a filler piece for the rear bumper where the old exhaust came out. Would give it a nice finish.
That'd be excellent!

Mine is an eBay one too. Let me know how it sounds with a different resonator. I don't mind the sound of it, but always love trying to get the best sound possible.
Yo dawg...that was good luck on fit...I'm sure you're like me...plateau w that motivation sometimes lol...nice!
Ef hatch is clean man exhaust sounds great no rice rocket.
Appreciate it Dwayne!!
wow man. B20B sound such different than my B18c haha. mine screams like hell when kicking vtec haha. nice and clean track car for sure!
Oh easily! Not much top end here. Lol
Beautiful one of kind looking good better everytime jon
That's the goal, keep bringing that rex over and we'll keep making it better and better!
Garage Built Hondas hell yeah jon custom exhaust you did love it on Rex haha more ideas to it
Loving the new rear diffuser, sounds good too! nice and throaty not like them fucking fart cans! The evolution is real! Its coming along so nice! Great work and upload as always my homie! You the mann!!!👌👍👍👍👊✌
Dude that's a clean si.
Thanks buddy!!
Damn this thing is beautiful 😍😍love what your doing with the ef. Might have to do the same with my exhaust
Thanks Juju, just be careful you don't have a leaky gas tank. K20CRX commented that he had done the same, but had a leaking gas tank and it caused a fire. 😨. Just be cautious!
Garage Built Hondas oh wow that’s crazy, but if do definitely getting a fuel cell
Smart! 👍
I really like how it sounds!! I am make some skirts out of alum right now for a 4 gen prelude and i am only on version 25 lol I cant seem to get the ends right and how much of a bend to put on them. The 1st ones were straight down. And they were really bad looking . Can’t wait to see you skirts
Lol, hopefully it'll only be a version 1 for me, but you never know!!
I used EK sedan side skirts! lined up with the rear fender and then cut to fit around my front flaps! I can send you a pic if you want!
Yeah man, email me or IG. garagebuilthondas@yahoo.com
Just picked up a 1991 Honda Civic hatch always wanted one got big plans for this thing
That's what I'm talking about!
Any suggestions on a motor swap later on?
Get whatever you can afford, you'll be happy whichever engine you get as long as you have fun driving it!
I love driving it right now I just really want to get it a little faster I just put a cold air intake on the stock intake was in trash condition but everything else is perfect
Any B series engine will be a fun replacement. Even a sohc vtec engine would be a lot of fun.
Ohh man that looks nice and I love the way it sounds and love the dirt rooster tails!!!
Thanks Nick, it's a pretty funny effect of it now, like a James Bond smoke screen.
How about looking into building a FLAT FLOOR to go with the sideskirts/ front splitter! Never seen it done before.
That would be awesome, maybe I could come up with something!
I totally agree 👌 then you can get the full function and benefits 💪😎
I was totally going to say that. Even if it is an under engine skidplate/drip pan that would reduce drag under the car.
Running a tiny bit of rake on the car to give more angle of attack on the diffuser.
Garage Built Hondas I know this is a odd question to ask on this video but did EF hatches ever come with Daytime running lights?
Garage Built Hondas I have a 1991 Civic si and I was curious because my car is Canadian and it was mandated in 1989 in Canada to have daytime running lights and I also read in my owners manual saying it has them maybe there’s something wrong with the car or did Honda lie lol
Ps love the way your car came out with the defuser 👍👍👍
Diffuser looks good man. 👍👍
Thanks man!

Did you ever see the Traklite Burns? Discontinued but they were a Spoon rep but 15x8 +35 and flow formed too.
Garage Built Hondas no, I'll check them out! Thanks!
Slowly becoming a Pikes Peak race car :D
👍
Nice I like those wheels, car looks really good
You did a damn good job!!! Really dope.
Thanks buddy
Dope
🙏
Good morning, could you give me the plans for the project, I want to do it in my ef.
Thank you so much
Greetings from Costa Rica.
Love your videos man very helpful with a lot of thing it’s always good to learn
Quick question witch is faster you b16 EF si or your b20 EF???
B20 by a little bit. I'd like to race them one day.
Maybe we should both spend a little and get better welders! Lol
Car looks sick!! Maybe some ek side skirts?
I thought about some Honda ones, but probably going to go with some DIY style!
I see a pci diffuser...........I HIT LIKE✌🏾
Any resonance in the cab? Diffuser looks great bud! Always great work brotha.
None thankfully! Appreciate it man, it's been a minute.
Sure has. Glad to see you on here still throwin down. Planning some new things for the sedan. Still in hoarding phase lol.
It never ends man!!
That's one clean EF
Thank you
Dude that looks and sounds mean!!!!!! 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Thanks Llamas!!
I know this video is 5yrs old but is there any place i can buy this diffuser and let it ship to europe??
Unfortunately it's discontinued.
Yo John just picked up a 90 DX EF sedan and it has the passenger mirror block off do you know if any 88-91 passenger mirror will fit or it year/model specific? Love the vids keep em coming !
Sedan only. I might have one if you're interested!
Man I see your ef and I miss my 91 ef si 😢
I feel like it's never worth it to sell them. Of course unless you absolutely need the cash, then I understand. You'll find your way back!
Looks great
Sound great
How do I get a couple of your decals
Thanks Joe!
Decals here --> garagebuilthondas.bigcartel.com/
Hello! Subscriber from Portugal, one question. I have a crx b16a1 and i Need to weld the exausht next to the cat, i see many information that is necessary to disconenct All the sensors, ecu and the battery to weld. Do i need to turn off All of this or only the battery. Im asking cause Im gonna do the job myself and i dont want to have Electric problems.
Greetings and welcome! Just disconnect the battery and you'll be just fine!
Garage Built Hondas thanks!
👍
Hi bro awesome Chanel great mods, I have a biggggg question on the drum to disk swap I have a 94 civic sedan And just bought the rta from a integra but it's missing the e brake lines what lines should I get or my original ones will fit just fine and also for the fluid what steel lines what do you recomend for my setup.
Thank you for your time
The regular fluid your car requires works perfect
But as far as the e brakes cables, will my cables work fine with the integra rta or should I buy ones for the integra? At auto zone they sale two different lengths mine is a sedan, so should I buy the longer ones and wha steel lines will wor with my setup.
Thank you for your time bro
The stainless lines are up to you and your budget. Take a look at Goodridge lines.
That ef sounds good what exhaust set up is it?
It's in the very beginning of the video where I'm working on it.. ebay setup with a mini muffler.
What about interior noises overwhelming or just a suttle drone either way bro that is freakin bitchen no matter what I am digging that set up a lot
It's not much different than before! It's tolerable and sounds mean!
Loving the Spanish rice exhaust tones lol ole late cinco de mayo cheers with beers
Dam she sounds mean looks more intense looking now. Love watching your video . Their a guy selling a si I want but I don't wanna over pay what do u suggest
Thanks Travis! What kind of condition is it in?
Very cool ef
Thank you Alan
did you have any noticeable change?
Sounds great. I love it!
Thanks Telly
Cut a hole for the toe hook so the diffuser will flush with rear bumper so ill look nicer
I thought about it, and just might do that!
bee thao I agree
What material is it made from and what’s gauge is it? Is it heavy?
It's aluminum and weighs 10lbs total. Not sure on the gauge, maybe slightly thicker than a quarter.
sounds great 👍🏾
It looks good 👍 awesome
Have you ever tried to make a lift for a Honda? I wanna build one for my 1994 Honda Accord. I don’t know how but if you do please let me know.
A hydraulic lift, such as the ones you see in shops?
Garage Built Hondas i meant like a lift kit 😂
Google it, you'll find some results. It's not difficult either
Would this fit wagon ?
I don't think so with a stock exhaust. And the mounting brackets won't work because the wagons have a different rear subframe so you would need to make a custom bracket.
Yo im in deming new mexico 2hr away from u bro and iv got a 92 honda civic hach vx and im about to move to las cruces
Awesome man!!
Very clean bro
Thanks Nigel!
❤️❤️❤️
What's up brother where are you finding parts for your car
I look everywhere from local Craiglist, eBay and on Instagram.
Outstanding!!
Thanks Edwin!
🔥🔥🔥
Looks sick jon
👍 thanks homie, can't wait til you get the sedan sorted out.
Its going to be a while
It'll be worth it
Hi, have you a bolueprint on the diffuser?
No, it's made by a company called PCI. You can purchase them from procarinnovations.com
Beautiful 💪🏻
🙏👍
Are 90 Integra taillights interchangeable with this hatch?
Jimmy John No, they are designed different
Sooo simular!
They do look similar
A b16 head would be 🔥
Love it man.
Thanks Lee!
Do you know where I can buy good lip for my wago?
The same lip that's on this car fits the wagon.
Ay, I got the same rims. Sick!
Really, let me see? I can never find anyone else with them!
Yep, but mine are called Enkei Bloc-2. Same design. Where can I show you?
Do you have an Instagram? Or you can email me pics at garagebuilthondas@yahoo.com
@kypcia_
My profile is public
What's the name of the blue wheels? Enkei CPS 2?
Correct! 👍
How many inches did u drop it ??
I don't know exactly, I usually leave about one finger gap between the wheel and fender. Different size wheels/tires can change how low or high it looks. I'm not about that slammed life.
What does a pci diffuser do?
Taken for the net.
"A diffuser, in an automotive context, is a shaped section of the car underbody which improves the car's aerodynamic properties by enhancing the transition between the high-velocity airflow underneath the car and the much slower freestream airflow of the ambient atmosphere."
Your fucking sick bro. Very nice
Thanks homie!
Am looking for a radiator support for a 1991 Honda Civic
Just going to have to search. Might be easiest to find one at a junkyard
Hopefully I find one I called all the junkyard around the Houston area
Good luck! Check Craig's for part outs and crashed EF's.
Cool
AAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWww omg that looks so sex my boy. Before I got my muffler installed my exhaust, was this like this but fumes was bad inside the cabin at stop lights tho.

Insane papa
Looks so clean. 💪👌
Thanks Kenny!
