I just went on the website and there is very little information about past releases while the photo is batch 10 the diagram has batch 9's ABV. In other words.....very lazy. Interestingly they do mention that Great Great Nephew Wright's ownership shares have gone to local trust funds in 2023. The Springbank website confirms this change in ownership with a family member on the Trust Board. Very interesting as we see Campbeltown Blends currently. The focus seems to be on the success of community and the region more than us geeks. Even hinting at another distillery in the near future
About the price difference on the sherry and bourbon matured, it's only due to the overhype crazyness that drove the whisky community (drinkers and collectors) crazy few years ago. The recharred version 57.1abv. Before that you could get kilkerran relatively easily and pricing was more than fair. But after all that buzz and hype, I think the whole whisky buyers, drinkers, flippers... put the kilkerran sherry no matter the batch in a certain "I need to get it" position. Increase of demand drives prices up. Cheers

yep - The focus seems to be on the success of the community and the region more than us geeks
Sugars from the sherry also help to round off the alcohol bite.

I preferred the Sherry Cask as well. I have not had their PX release though. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
