Fascinating. In Florida it is the standard to avoid terminal tackle as much as possible. It has led to ridiculously complicated knots. I learn a lot from UK sea angling vids.
Hi Stu. I used to use crimps on my stiff link for carp fishing. Never tried it on sea rigs, but it sure does look neat and tidy. Cheers and tight lines.
Might be worth using the breakaway rubber lined crimps. Ive lost fish where the angle of the line against the edge of the crimp has severed. Heartbreaking
@ i just rechecked the breakaway ones as this video reminded me… they’re designed to be moveable so probably not ideal 🤭🤣. Worth it for flappers though!

Wicked tuna traces are all double crimps for there hooks,but use a 200lb line.
