- We've been working towards this for a little while now, and with the help of Dandy Engines and Maxx Performance we've made over 1000rwhp on a budget with our Mazda MX5.

A shout out to the Aussie ford engineers, 1200 hp out of a standard head and cam is outstanding.
The Ford 6 was always a lazy engine, seemed like built more for torque (like a tractor, lol). Peaky engines are rarely built as tough. People put turbos on them in the 80s but looking back, why did it never occur to anyone since then? It's clearly viable to turbo just about any Falcon 6 to some degree.
Scotty, what a bloody legendary effort mate. Zane has got the tuning on that looking mint too for that much power on the curve. It will be a handful but fingers 🤞 for the illusive 7's or at least a very low 8.1-8.0.

should ring Guinness and see if you just made the most powerful MX5. 15 or 20 years ago this would have been pie in the sky sort of numbers. the fact you could put that engine in a standard (ish) BA and troll super cars is crazy. wow and well done to Scotty and the crew.

i owned a 76 td cortina wagon in the mid 80s that was factory fitted with the 250 iron head crossflow head and a 3 speed floor shift! It put a lot of v8s in their place, off the line it was all go till 100kph then it ran out of gears! wish I still had it!
