Would it be safe to store these type batteries inside a camper where we sleep, or do they need to be vented? Also, will a lithium type battery fit in this box?
If the battery is swollen like you say how do we pop it out? What size battery do we put back in thank you in advance I am asking for my 91 year old neighbor and friend!
You can get the batteries tested. If they are swollen looking you are dealing with over charged batteries. If the chair want last around 6 hours or more it's probably a good indication you need batteries. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.
4:33 what is a "WATT VOLTAGE" mate ? You have 13.6 V DC , 1.8A which gives us 24.48 Watts what is Watt Voltage ? 4.55 "This is the connector" it's called a BLADE CONNECTOR, FYI
@@allstarmedical It's an interesting model. I have a 2002 triporter, the 2018 Quad is so similar you could actually clip on the front. Very functional except for these little glitches... They love their velcro!
It was hard getting the battery out due to the velcro, but with some consistent wriggling and force I managed to peel it off. I reused it as the batteries would be loose otherwise

It's ok to store them inside. Lithium batteries will not work with this model.
@@allstarmedical Thank you!
can you use lithium batteries as a substitute for the lead ones?
You can not as of right now
Great info, so I assume it's just sealed lead acid batteries and they are so much cheaper than a new pack assembly!
Thanks!!
👍🏻
They are sealed lead acid batteries
How do i know what goes where as ive just getting 2 new batteries and afraid to put them in incase i put them in wrongly
If you are not sure how to plug the batteries in I would recommend asking the place you got the batteries from if they would help.

Can the battery be charged out of the scooter?
This battery box has a place to charge it off the scooter
Where is this located?
@@DCTONY159 it’s on the front part of the scooter battery box
Did that yesterday 😂
Yup, ditch the velcro 👍
The velcro can be rough.

@@urbanpuma9136 Glad you were able to get them out.
Turned me off buying one of those scooters now in case I leave it charging too long. Yikes 😮
The battery change is pretty typical across the industry. What concerns do you have?
