They are a different breed when tuned I had a big scania turbo on mine made decent power and silly torque but the s5 manual was always a dream car of mine sound unbelievable with a back box delete on
@joshwalton5203 yea we did backbox delete recently on an s5 there's a video on here, I was surprised how good it sounded 🤣 I expected it to sound horrendous but it shocked me
@@NAWFABZ sounds raw and un even abit like an American muscle car I was going to do x pipe then I did back box delete instead and it just sounds unreal just right not annoyingly loud haha
Ive got a banger a mk4 2L petrol mondeo the back box fell off at the start of a run from the northwest down to London not gona lie even my shxtheap sounded amazing 😂
Yep very true.. I do tell every one who wants a straight pipe on a petrol the same but some listen, others pay to have it straight piped then pay again to have it rectified through not listening to advise 🤣🤯
Big question, I’ve got a 2.5 inch downpipe on my 3.0 TDI but it doesn’t sound that nice at all. I will be removing the back boxes soon but could that be what’s causing it to sound like a pile of shit?
@Flith yes remove the backboxes and any silencers and it will sound awesome, but for the record you want to be running 3" downpipe really. 2.5" too small
Probably still got the CAT in place and that reduces the noise quite a bit still. However you should have gotten a flyby video of it as it sounds better from the outside.
@@NAWFABZ had the backboxes removed from my old 3.0tdi A4, still had DPF in place though. From inside the car you'd not really know I had anything changed but from outside it was noticeable. Would be good to get some flybys for future videos to see what stuff sounds like from an outside perspective.
Crimping is unfortunately unavoidable on that hydraulic system, it's not to bad, segmentation of the pipe and autogenous tig welding is costly and time consuming.
Definitely the best sounding diesel in my opinion
Yes they are! Shame this one didn't have a downpipe as they sound even better then 😬😎
Yep, better then the bmw diesel community. M57 N57 engines
I had one with full straight pipe on it thing was an animal only got rid due to getting the v8 S5 great video 👍
Yea they are fantastic tbh! How you finding the v8 s5 in comparison?

I'd Love to get my Audi SQ5 TDI Sounding like that 😍
Should be possible what year is the sq5? Not possible while keeping the car road legal though. Track car only after ;)

Can't beat a free exhaust sound 🤣🤣🤣🤣 weight saving too 🤣
That sounds epic that does for a diesel.
@@timburrowsracing they do sound mega these do! Even better with a downpipe
How does it pass MOT because i wanna do this to mine lol
My mk6 golf tdi sounds amazing with a full straight through and downpipe also great job guys as per those tips looks ace!
😎 thanks for watching
i have an audi a6 c6 2007 with a 3.0 tdi engine (ASB to be exact) do you think that if i would just straight pipe it would sound decent?
@yakoiucutawa-t8h yes it will sound decent,
And this car have dpf and cat? And sound like that with this?
No cat and dpf are removed
Diesels should be the only cars people straight pipe
Petrols sound terrible

is better sounding with downpipe or straight pipe or what is differenc please
The best sound is no backboxes and a downpipe.
This one just had the dpf gutted out which sounds great but downpipe sounds much much better
@@NAWFABZ which one sound louder downpipe or straight pipe
@xfireomG they are both technically "straight pipe" but the downpipe way sounds much louder than gutting out the factory cat and dpf
@@NAWFABZ okey thanks mate 👍
How much to post out RS style back box deletes for my stage 2+ A5 3.0 tdi sportback B8 lads ?
Sadly not something I offer on a postal. Make the drive to keep and we can sort no problems

Does dpf still in. In this video?

see tdi's sound waay better straightpiped and descent idk petrols idk they just dont sound nice ill be honestly, cool video tho dude keep it up
