Hello all! If you stumble across this video in 2024 please be aware that this video is 5 years old and it's been at least 4 years since I've been in direct contact with the developer of this app so unfortunately I don't know if it is still being updated or even available any longer. Sorry! I was not able to find it myself on the app store and don't have access to an android phone or tablet any longer so I can't check there. It's too bad if it's no longer supported because it was great at one time.
I found one named button box on Play Store and the developer of that app is I think oyun erbabi and when creating a layout it showing a tons handful of options in which I could try a few like 5 out of 30 and to unlock them need to the certain amount as you specified in the video but don't know whether for a single time or need to pay every month or year and I'm from India and it is showing me an amount of INR 950 i just need a clarification on this
I just found and installed it on my Samsung Tab S6 Lite from the Official PlayStore + my laptop
Seems to still fully work 5 yrs later, and the pro package to have the app work fully is about 7 euro's for Ets2+Ats or 15 for the whole range of games.

I thought I'd commented on this, but I guess not. This is an amazing button box/telemetry system. I've made over 50 dashboards to suit any situation I could think of. It even works with consoles now, so you Forza guys can run without any HUD on screen. The amount of stuff in the community section for ATS, ETS is incredible.
Can u use it on forza horizon 1 and 2 for Xbox 360 if not is there anything I can do or buy to get something for Xbox 360
@@nicolastelling1991 I don't believe so, very few console games of that era output telemetry data and that's required for this app to function. You're playing two cool games, I couldn't even guess how many hours I played them for, minimum three digits, possibly four. I'm impressed you're still playing them. I was honestly surprised that Horizon four, and Forza 7 out put telemetry data, actually console games began with F1 2016 and I had no idea. I’ve been running HCS packs from Voice Attack for Elite Dangerous. It’s handy, but there’s a lag between the verbal command, and the action that needs to be executed. This is simpler. I like simple. Thanks for this tutorial, my guy.
i use 2 pages of this for elite, 1 page is all ship buttons and 1 page is a virtual keyboard so dont have to have physical keyboard hogging dash space in my sim rig - love this app thanks for posting this vid!

AMAZING! My Thrustmaster Warthog throttle has been screwing up. This looks like a good alternative for the buttons I use when not using the throttle.

Barnacules nerdgasm has a setup using tablet and Android , smartphone for different gauges setup and applications for racing and other driving games , if you haven't already done so you might check him out and see what he runs on his setup.

Have you heard of the Matric app? The basic version looks meh, but the premium one ($5 I think) looks like a pretty cool Button Box app, but it looks like it might also be a Stream Deck alternative. Just watched a vid of it controlling OBS too. I find it strange no-one is talking about this app as it seems pretty sweet.

Man it was so long ago I don't remember for sure but it was around 7" for sure and that should be plenty big enough for a button box!

Yeah so in the game settings there are mapable buttons for volume up, volume down, change station and so on. I mapped those to unused keyboard keys and then set the app buttons to those keys. Also in the options there is a radio tab where you can listen to internet radio stations. It has some by default but you can add any additional ones you like in the ATS/ETS .ini radio file. you can also add your own custom playlist by adding mp3 files. I am at work now but when I get home I will check it out and make sure I did not miss anything.
@@DanDiMaggio yh i know theres mapable buttons in game i have 2 botton boxes and steering wheel g920. i know about the internet radio in game and about putting your own radio stations on the game but i want to be able to use one of my spare devices as either control buttons for radio like yurs, gps/map, or job info. please tell me exactly how or would it be possible for you to do a tutorial please??

@@Iamthenick727 yes thats it. And yes it will display any telemetry, job info, or gps in the full version if you use/create a dash displaying that info

Thanks for the video! I learned a few things I wasn't able to pick up in the documentation. However, I am still a bit stuck on the iRacing Community offers out there. I got the ATS and FS22 button screens to work but when I scan the barcode for the one I want for iRacing it asks me what game I want associated with it. However, iRacing isn't in the list for me to choose like it was for ATS and FS22 even though on my Games tab in the main app on the PC says it is supported and configured. I emailed the dev a few days ago but have not heard back yet. Any ideas what I am missing? :-)

Man I really wish I could help you but it's been so long since I used this software. I don't even think, or maybe just don't remember barcodes being a thing back when I made the video. I am pretty sure I used it with iRacing though so there must be a way to get it working. Crazy to think this video was from 5 years ago. Funny it was dead for so long and now all of a sudden it's getting a ton of views again. Hope someone can chime in and help you out!

Sorry it took me so long to answer. The truck is a Kenworth K100 and can be found here: atsmods.lt/kenworth-k100-ats-1-32-x/
I am also using 2 sound mods that can be found on the steam workshop. They only work on some trucks and the k100 is one that it does work on. Look up Mortals Engine Sounds & Mortals Idle Lope Sound in the steam workshop and subscribe to both. Once you have them activated the truck can be found at the Kenworth Dealer. The engine that sounds like this is the one with the most power. I can't remember exactly which one it is but just go by the 2 biggest hp and tq numbers and those will be the correct engines.

As a complete novice, nobody explains how you physically hook up your phone to your ps4, computer so it interfaces with your particular system. Could someone tell me how this works?
For the PC the app uses your home WiFi network. There is a very basic setup process once you download the app and PC software. This particular app does all the work for you. Only reason I have it plugged in is for a power source.

You can run it through usb or through your wi-fi. I only plug it in to keep the tablet charged.

This was a pretty simple setup. I was using 2 small 90 degree metal brackets and Velcro. I got both from a local Walmart. Brackets were in the home improvement section and Velcro was near the art supplies.

Yeah it stinks because I am now a iphone user so it's a pain but at least I still have a bunch of old android devices laying around. honestly you could just pick up a cheap used tablet and it would work just fine.
