Incredible bravery from Mr Tromans. Notice he does the entire review with a rare albino tarantula on his shirt and he doesn't miss a beat, well done sir !!
My wife and I are clinging to our 2001 Passat wagon as long as we can. Best-sized, best-configured car ever offered on the U.S. market. I just wish VWoA would bring us a Eurospec Passat wagon. Instead, they are killing off the Golf Sportwagen (our other car is a 2016 Golf Sportwagen -- we are hoarding wagons while we can).
Yet another car we can't get in the U.S. because of our hyper fascination with SUVs/CUVs. VW- please bring the 2.0 TSI Alltrack variant of this to the U.S.! PS: No to the leaky pano sunroof please.
This is the EU version, it's costs a lot more then the US version and so US will never get it since they think they won't sell much. Here it's a top seller for Company cars :)
@@Blindusek It might not sell in huge numbers, but neither does the Golf R, The MX5 Miata, the Toyota 86, etc but that does not mean no sales. VW could probably sell at least 5000 per year of the Passat wagons in North America. The Canadians still like wagons and some very smart US folks also buy them, often the expensive Volvo, Audi or MB wagons.
Not only did VW not bring the EU versions to the US, now (2 years after the original comment) they have announced shutting down Passat production in the US altogether. Like you said, can't sell anything but SUV's and trucks in America anymore.
How's the electrics on this car? My mum had one and within a few days if having it, it burst into flames almost killing my family as it was parked on our drive down by the side of our house. I wouldn't get in another one for the rest of my life and I'm only 19. So that's a long time.

What I like about VW cars are they are solid and feel built to last,

Great review, great car, but I hate being tantalized by something I can't buy here in the US.

What is a professional if this is aimed at professionals?
He needs to move his hands just a little bit more- no one would ever say.

The new design language at VW is soooo boring. Nothing there to excite the sences at all. Snooze worthy
