I purchased the same headlights 3 years ago and im so happy, they keep working as good as day one, super bright and have no issues at all
Really helpful video! Thank you for putting this together!
Looks amazing! Excellent job!!
Thanks for an awesome video, answered all of my questions!!!
Awesome video, precisely what I needed. Thanks
Best tutorial ever for noob like me. Buying the same brand but the halo ones. Install should be similar. Thank you
Great vid! Will be installing these as well.
This video was invaluable! Thanks!
Hey buddy great video very easy to follow I brought some other halo light but seeing your video was so easy to follow I brought these
Great video. For few dollars more there are other options with the DRL wiring harnesses with built in connectors without the need for soldering/heat shrink. Different lights.
Just purchased these exact lights. Thank you so so much for the detailed instructions. How have they held up over time?
Thanks for the awesome how-to. What size fuse tap is it? Mini or micro 2?
nice video ! have you upgraded the fender light to LED DRL yet? Very much looking forward to that upgrade
Where can I get one of these fuse tabs. I tried Canadian tire but no luck
How do you change the light bulbs on those new LEDs?
Any matching fog lights ?
Also where is the adapter from ?
Great walk-through, thanks for putting it out there! Any reason to use f46 vs. f57?
I was thinking the same thing. I'm gonna go with 57 since more people seem to use that one
i have the same jl. where did you get the fuse tap from? the auto store have some but the prongs are to wide to fit in the fuse box
what kind of fuse is it? I ordered it, but no fuse came with it
I have these but seems non adjustable??
Hey bud, how is it holding up ? All LEDs still working ?
Thanks for the video. I bought a set of skyline led headlights and needed to run a wire to the fuse box. Just didn't know which fuse to tap it into. Your kit suggested you tap into fuse 46, or you are just familiar with how to do these things?
Tap into the cigarette lighter fuse
hey so i just installed these and the brights rarely work and the headlights (not DRLs) flash…. help? suggestions?
great video...thanks! think I'm going to order the KiwiMaster halo lights and use this video to help install on my new JLUR
No issues with going form halogen to LED as far as warning lights or error codes?
I haven't had any issues with error codes or warning lights.
Hii... can u pls give me answer regarding headlight??? Signal also work in head light? Same spot as day time running light??
How are the lights preforming? On a side note they sell heat shrink with solder in them for a WAY stronger connection. I personally solder every connection for piece of mind knowing it'll never come apart.
They have been great! I have not had any problems. No errors on the dash, no condensation. Everything has held up through all kinds of conditions. Connections have been solid especially since they are inside the engine bay away from the elements.
Hey I have the mopar head lights, but originally had the crusty halogen lights. Can’t seem to get the halo to work can you send a link to just the wiring? That would help a ton thnx
Im not familiar with the mopar headlights. But they should be plug and play since they should use the same connector. You might need a OBD computer to program it, but im not 100% sure.
Why not just tap into the DRL wire at the DRLs themselves so you don’t need to have all that wiring around the fuse box?
simply because of showing that notch in the fuse box to run that drl wire you get a like. tons of videos never explain that and just say "run the wire". it made me really hesitant to buy headlights like these because on previous jeeps you had to either drill a hole or use a factory drain hole in the fuse box to run the wire.
Did u attach both long white wires to different fuses , or did u twist them together before putting them into the one fuse adapter. I’m hooking mines up tomorrow
Sorry for the late response, but I twisted both white wires together before attaching to the fuse box.
What part of Virginia???
Does connecting the new headlights affect the automatic sensor? Even after connecting them thru the fuse box?
nope. my automatic sensor still works after following these directions
I followed your instructions to the letter, but when I am driving the lights flicker... Any known causes or fixes?
Check your wires, maybe one of the connections is loose or didnt get twisted well.
Did you wire up the LED halo turn signal? I just installed mine with 50 Om resistors (as an after thought) and the computer still throws a code and the front turns won't work. Any suggestions? I also know about the Tazer mini, just not 100% it'll work either.
I did not wire my halo light to the turn signal. I wanted my halo lights to be on with my DRL. If you watch the video I install the white wire to the fuse box. I have not had any lights on my dash with this method.
Wish they let me swap out the led bulb and use the case/halo light only :/
I know this is old, but why did you tap into Auto HDLP? and not something like the F52? just curious plan on installing tomorrow.
I did it because I wanted the LED ring to run as my DRL
@ThatGuyMitch1 so they don't just come on with power? I didn't want the halo to just be on always when the jeep is on. Really only wheb lights or auto is on.
@@chamisbeard8301 the halos have to be wired separately. If you want them to work like the OEM Halo lights they will need to be wired like the way in the video. If you just want them to turn on when your headlights turn on then splice them to the headlight plug.
Thanks for your reply! and no issues so far with flickering or anything like that? did you have to get a tazer or anything?@@ThatGuyMitch1
Been awhile!
Yes it has! but I finally have my dream car and so much more content coming soon!
@@ThatGuyMitch1 awesome! Glad to hear. Will be looking forward to it
Did you have to adjust the headlights any? I still feel like mine are too low but the top screws are all the way in and the bottom one is as far out as i can get it without the headlight rattling.
Yeah I had to adjust mine, I didn't have any rattling though.
Did you just use the three install screws w/ springs to adjust?
Yeah, it took me a while to really adjust the light to the perfect height , but if you can get it high enough try going to the hardware store and buy some small rubber spacer for screws and longer screws that should solve your problem
Mine were too hight , now we put
A lift and readjusting and seems no adjustment
@@ThatGuyMitch1what screws are they? My kit actually was missing them and plan on going to the hardware store instead of the trouble of returning
So your JL did not come with stock drl correct? I’m gonna do this install I have a 2019 jl with the ugly halogen lights but no drl but would like drl with my new led lights this will do that correct
Yes that is correct. I did not have DRL. Now with these headlights I do !
@@ThatGuyMitch1 yes now I do too! Thanks for this great easy to follow video hopefully you do one for the fender lights lol those are tricky.
That headlight stock was not enough bright, I rethinking buy upgrades headlight baby brightest
How are these holding up?
These have been great! They have been through mud, downpours, and extreme heat. So far they have held up like a champ. I would definitely buy them again over having stock halogens
Man, just twisting the wires together and heat-shrinking them is totally unacceptable. You have to crimp the wires and then heat shrink them. Otherwise you’re asking for trouble down the road.
No crimps, no solder.. whaaaa? Don't do this unless you want to blow that fuse down the road.
Lmfao that’s the most ghetto wiring job I’ve ever seen. “I know these are well connected” 😂 good luck with that one..
Honestly you’re a POS for acting like how you did the wiring is correct. You clearly don’t know how to use a crimp connection so you snipped it off… dude wow
