I use two S1’s which I designed an adapter to align them vertically (yes, true) so I basically shade the lower one for near-field listeners (and monitor…it’s on a stand over my right shoulder) and shade the top one a bit hotter for distant listeners. I feed an Aux send (post) on my mixer to a Bose Sub1 for a bit of guitar/vox and foot percussion. The system performs fantastic. I get tons of positive comments from patrons. I can supply power to Sub1 and other gear with portable Jackery AC supply for a totally off-grid and powerful system for up to 100-150 people. A single S1 is great to have for weddings and even small outdoor parties. No other battery powered PA in this size can compete. Cheers
Hello I hope you could help me. I’m a singer and I have two Bose s1 pros which I use for guys. I feel like something is missing from the sound maybe some base. I use a Yamaha mixer. I read your comment and you say you have a Bose sub1 can I ask what that is and what it is used for? I think I need to ad to my set up to give it a better sound 😀
Thanks for this! I too am a singer/songwriter, sharing my original music. But, I too, gig out as a solo acoustic artist, playing covers also. Thanks for sharing. :)
I’m with you on all of this. It does what it does brilliantly though. I have a pair and use them for either small family garden parties and camping or their primary use case is as foldback monitors with a pair of Bose L1 Pro 8s. When using them as foldbacks, I roll the bottom end off so as they don’t bottom out, and then they really project well, and the L1s really fill the low end in more than adequately (the L1 pro series doesn’t lack in low or top end at all, and I genuinely think they’re the best thing Bose have made to date in terms of sound quality). The great advantage of using the S1 pro as a foldback is the reduction in power cables all over the stage and the small footprint.
This was an excellent Review and I totally agree with not using the tone match settings. The sound is amazing with backing tracks. Just wish there would be a master volume.
Ordered today. For my solo gigs with tracks. Today I tried with tracks and the tracks had nice base actually. My friend brought it over to try with tracks and I'm sold . You say not enough base I thought it was fine. It's light and I'm thankful not to lug around my 40lb powered monitor and put up on a pole. When I play with full band it's my monitor.
Excellent no nonsense no fancy recording and video. Way to many reviewers think they are recording and filming an epic movie. I think this might be just the ticket for me playing small senior living residence homes gigs for me. The portability is a real plus.
Hi ! I am very happy to have found your channel! I have been looking for more than two months now for reviews on the pa amplification tells me but nobody and I repeat nobody treats the topics as you are doing!! Thank you very much for your time! I wish you much luck!! Continue in this manner, you are a very good musician!!

hey buddy! thanks a million!! i’ve been thinking about gettin one too!! i’m convinced it’d be perfect for my solo gigs as well!! you sound great btw❤️🌻
Yup, the speaker is a bit weak on the low end. Blackstar Sonnet 120 is better. About the same price point. Loud and low end for days. It was co-designed by an acoustic guitarist for Blackstar.
Thanks Stuart! Great review....Ive done some gigs through a Roland AC90 acoustic amp....and the largest of Bose Poles....im hoping this speaker will be a nice compromise....not expecting a lot of low end (Bose B2 sub does actually boom finally, ha).....Great data and set....thanks for the scoop! Mike
Great review 👍🏻 I love my Bose S1 Pro and I also using it without the Tonematch switch on. I found the same thing as you, made my voice and guitar sound thin and lacklustre. Right now it’s all I really need. For most gigging venues you’d go from the “line out” into the house PA anyway, making this the perfect monitor.
Great stuff. Enjoyed what you had to say. Honest account, very authentic and thus very appealing. I've only just started. Got a S1 pro, not the pro plus. Now, I do have a number of condenser microphones. Can I use one of them with S1 pro? I'm just trying to avoid buying a dynamic mic. I am guessing you will advise use of phantom power supply along with it. No idea how to go about doing that.
I have two paired together great sound for vocals, music, movies, and I use the Fishman mini Loudbox for the guitar actually two of them now will being paired in stereo with a Boss stereo chorus. Very convenient set up and light weight to travel. The Bose S1 Pro I got through Best Buy for around $550.00 each but now they have jumped dramatically! Great battery life!
Thanks for a great review from someone doing what I do. I’m 60 this year and the days of lugging 100 kgs of gear are over for me. But I still want first class sound! I want people to say “wow, you sound fantastic”. Anyone wanna buy a Roland AC60? 😂✌️❤️🇦🇺
Cool review. I agree with pretty much everything you say, but would like to add a view things. 1) The Tonematch preset is designed around an Audix OM3. It really sounds nice with that mic. An OM5 is even better. The OM5 sounds almost exactly the same as the OM3, but it cuts a little more of the low frequencies that are below the vocal range of most of us. 2) If you want the low end for looping or backing tracks, add a Bose Sub1. The Sub1 has an S1 preset that sends frequencies above 150Hz to the S1. You can use the Sub1 with two S1s. The combination sounds fantastic. I agree though that for just guitar and vocals, one or two S1s alone are perfect.
This guy is cool. Sounds good live unlike 99% of everyone else Ive heard including my own gig. Agree S1 pro sux for musicians but prob good for small tyme faux DJs.
Awesome review thanks 👍 Currently looking at a battery powered setup but do want the percussion low end sound Maybe the new Boss Street Cube 2 for guitar and the Bose for singing would be a good setup ?
Great review. Im a keyboard player and have been looking at the s1 pro (2 of them) im impressed with what I hear but the test time is when you get them home or a 1st venue I am worried incase my sound from a keyboard will get lost from a small speaker
They will surprise you, they impress everyone when they hear the sound produced from such a small box for the first time . Although if you were to buy 2 S1s I’d seriously consider 1 x Bose L1 Pro 8 rather. Its far more powerful and other than it not running on batteries it’s just as convenient to set up
Man, I play out as a solo artist 3 to 4 nights a week..... just saw one of these at a pawn shop for $400.... had no idea about it until I just watched your video.... I'll be right back.
Subbed you just now, after watching this - the third video by you - today. The other 2 were about the Evox Jmix8, which I am kinda interested in trying. Love your way of going through the pros and cons, and especially how you show us how things actually sound in live settings. Most reviewers don‘t manage to convey that, for they play stock music (from their phones or whatever) in showrooms or living rooms, and often the music they use is crap for judging how natural a system sounds. So I much appreciate your more musician-friendly approach. And now your video on the Bose S1 Pro cinches my feeling that your use scenarios and sound preferences are a very close match to mine. I know this because I have (and love!) the Bose S1 Pro, and would have said exactly what you did about it. Adding to that for whomever‘s interested: I‘ve tried about 15 acoustic amps over the years, and owned about 9, among which are an ancient AER Acousticube (too analytical and cold, i.e. not warm enough, esp. not for my vocals), a Roland BA-330 (too sharp in the treble, and sound break-up when driven with loud vocals, i.e. preamps without sufficient headroom; also, some kind of limiters or comb filters cutting sound fidelity to save the woofers from too much energy, I suppose), a Roland AC-33 (excellent for the wee size, but don‘t try to drive it hard or it breaks up, especially when on batteries), a Roland Cube Street Ex (also seems to suffer from selective frequency filtering to keep the speakers from being overdriven, leading to less-the-warm and less-than-full bass response and a bit too much harshness and hiss; improved the unit and decided to keep it after swapping woofers for warmer, punchier ones), a Fishman Loudbox Mini (warm and full and can be driven loud, with a very pleasing internal compression I am sure is there, but the speaker lacks sparkle and upper-mid differentiation and can sound kind of dull with certain pickups/guitars unless tweaked a lot, at which point it then sounds unnatural), a Laney A-Fresco 2 (great warmth, punch and definition, but the sound dies when on batteries, even high-quality, high-powered Li-Ion ones), a Crate amp no longer made (60 Watts of very punchy sound on the floor or tilted, but with an overly sharp treble range that has to backed off carefully if you don‘t want to kill people in the front row, and too big/heavy for pole mounting) and now - finally - the Bose S1 Pro. (Oh, and we won‘t even get into the various PA speakers I‘ve also used. ;-). For my acoustic solo and busking purposes, the Bose wins hands down!!! It can fill a coffee house or street with beautifully warm, sparkling (but not sibilant), well-balanced and punchy sound, even when on batteries!!! It never breaks up when driven hard (shouty male vocal), and sounds lovely on the ballads. All of my guitars (with high-end pickups) sound great on it. And it is so incredibly compact that it‘s a breeze to take anywhere. Add in a speaker pole (got mine in a bundle from Thomann here in Germany) and the great backpack case, and you can even jack it up over people‘s heads for more throw, like in your scenario. I also love it for use as a tilted (!) floor monitor on duo gigs with a full PA. It gives me my voice the way I want/need to hear it: full and sparkly, but not boomy or sizzly so as to create feedback). And it‘s so small, I can squeeze it in at the front edge of any stage or corner of someone‘s living room or patio without it looking clunky. That said, I totally agree that it does NOT cut it for use with my Roland stomp pedal (SPD One Kick) or a manual stomp pedal or my BeatBuddy. I tried using them with my RCF M18 digital mixer ahead of the Bose, but the low-frequency response is disappointing for that kind of thing, so I just skip it. No way in hell that I‘ll ever sell the Bose! What it lacks in really low end it more than compensates for by delivering clean, punchy, powerful and non-distorting bass on acoustic guitar and vocals, and that’s exactly what I want from such an amp. I love it so much that I‘m considering using its Line Out to run a signal to a floor woofer (or the above-mentioned Crate, which has a 10-inch woofer) for a fuller-range system. Either that or maybe a column array like the Evox you also kindly tested for us. It‘s great to hear you‘ve been just as happy as I have with the Bose, which finally ticks all the boxes for me. Meanwhile, I still have that old AER Acousticube and the Roland Cube Street Ex, so if anybody reading this lives in northern Germany and is interested.... ;-). Thanks again, Stuart, for giving us your input on these things, and for sharing your warm and friendly nature with us along the way. Also really enjoy the tunes as you present them. P.S. Like you, I also much disliked the ToneMatch presets. I keep them switched off.
Hi Scott, thanks for your insight. Seems we are on the same page for that never ending quest for tone. It's a rabbit hole but personally I enjoy it keeps things interesting. Life's to short for bad sound... I use the Evox for most my gigs but recently bought the HK Polar 10. It's a rad system at a very good price. So if you do end up going column array , I'd recommend you check it out. All the best! S
Stuart Reece Bless your beautiful soul, Stuart, for turning me onto the HK Polar 10! :-) Had never heard of it before, and will definitely check it out right now. I instinctively trust your judgement on things, and really appreciate your input. Indeed, the quest for good tone can be never-ending, though I‘m willing to settle for less than perfect. Well...maybe 2% less than perfect, that is. ;-)
@@WWeiss-nv5vz Well, it‘s apples and oranges, isn‘t it? The Polar 10 is a column system with a big woofer and a wide dispersion pattern, and it doesn‘t offer battery operation or easy portability like the S1 does. Is your question more about the sound? I would be glad to share if you tell me what your specific interests are. I love both systems. I have used the S1 for small gigs and busking, and it‘s perfect for that. The Polar 10 hasn‘t been out of my home yet due to Covid, but packs a much bigger sonic punch, of course. That said, I should add I‘ve pre-ordered the brand-new JBL PRX One (arriving in 2 weeks). If it sounds as good as I think it will, I‘ll sell the Polar 10 (mint condition) in order to have the huge array of very attractive features the JBL provides.
Hi Stuart, You sound great!!! I'm having a difficult time from gear shops getting the answer to my question so I guess I might have better luck if I ask an owner. I want to know if the Bose S1 charges while in use with the power cord plugged into the wall. Thank you Liberty
Fantastic real world review. Boss is always more on mids. Not so great at the low end. Was just wondering if you have tried pairing this with a subwoofer. Will that make it suitable for say an audience of 100 ?
I haven’t tried that but I have heard you can at the sub. Please let me know if you hear that combo and what your thoughts are. I have been using the L1 Pro 8 for a few months. I have never been happier with a sound system in 11 years as a full time solo musician
Hi! Which of 6.5-inch battery-powered speakers can produce sounds in such an urban area near or at a great distance. Like, for example, Everse 8 in the street version? When a backing vocalist with a speaker is both nearby and from afar, his music and voice can be clearly heard at a distance of 200 meters and even further in the fifth minute of this video ua-cam.com/video/yoybdtGrRm4/v-deo.html What else could be similar to Everse 8? There is no need for the compact Jbl EON One. I have been using it for 3 years and have already sold it because it is twice as weak in volume as Everse 8. You can hear it clearly here in the short 1.5 minute story ua-cam.com/video/OMPkPStMgo4/v-deo.html The speaker should be loud, compact and lightweight so that the musician can transport it on a special trolley (this is also seen in the video). Will the Bose S1 Pro be enough on such a city street ua-cam.com/video/uJeYJNi0bb8/v-deo.html Where is another musician playing guitar and singing in Everse 8? Thank you in advance!
Did you use a DI box for your acoustic guitar? Or did you just plug in? Also you said you used an F1 too for a gig, did that need a DI box? Can you use an electric guitar with it? Thanks for the video it was really helpful. Cheers from California!
No I don't use a DI on the S1, I go straight in with a guitar jack. Clean electric guitar sounds pretty decent straight into the S1 as well but it doesn't have the 'twang' of a guitar amp, For me it sounded better when running through a multiFX pedal first and then into the S1. The F1 is way more powerful than the S1 and serves a different purpose. I would suggest taking a mixing desk with the F1 rather than plugging straight in. If you need more power than the S1 can deliver I can highly recommend you check out the Bose L1 Pro 8.
This is excellent. Subscribed. I’m between this and the Fishman Charge. Does that Taylor have the ES2 pickup system? I have Taylor’s with same ES2 and have heard reports it does not sound good with this Bose but your guitar sounded great
Hi John, I have the ES-2. I haven’t used the Fishman Charge, but Fishman is definitely a reputable brand. I can personally vouch for the Bose. I have used it often since the making of this video and it surprises me every time. It’s a very rich sound and it seems to fill the room without it ever feeling ‘loud’ . Good luck, let me know which one you go for 😎
Good guitarist but I have to say i thought your vocals are lacking a bit and would reccomend a peddle boss ve or something with harmoniser n looper for you ....that speaker for small background eatery like this yeah...soul destroying gigs for any performer I think ....really are..... but sayin this you probably have bigger kit for bigger venues were people wanna listen ...Can i ask does the battery last 4 hours or 11 ?
Hey Byrom, these used to be 'soul-destroying' gigs but since the rona I have a new appreciation for every gig I get to play :P But I take it you know this industry from experience. Definitely a piece of kit for smaller gigs and a luxury to have but I would not have it as my only PA for what I do. The battery is very good, I've made it passed 11 hours if I'm just using it at home to play music (Thee best bluetooth speaker I've ever heard) and it easily does a 3-4 hour live gig. I haven't tried two gigs back to back on a single charge because it's never been necessary but I think it would make it to 8 hours of live music. I'd be willing to chance it.
Thanks for a very informative "real world" evaluation! Have you tried out the JBL eon one compact? I was wondering if it sounds as good with the ability to handle low end percussion better, due to its 8" speaker
What you use for looping? I was heard blues club street ex and sound very awful when compared to this Boss but your reviews keep my away from Boss S1 for looping. Cheers
In my opinion yes, you can comfortably busk through it with track and vocal. I use it at home almost everyday to play music through. I can't play it at full volume without it being uncomfortably loud, so you can definitely have a small party at home with it. I can tell you honestly that I will keep this piece of gear for life - it is just that good.
@@stuartreeceband Thanks pal. My wife is the singer: ua-cam.com/video/B9TiOlZsT5g/v-deo.html We use the Bose L1 Model 2 with B2 bass for our normal gigs and we love it. But we wanted to find something more probable for busking and also home karaoke style use that we won't have to set up everytime. And even possible to use at small venues to save us lugging the whole Bose L1 system everytime we gig. We loved the look of the S1 Pro and it seems to tick all the boxes. We already love Bose and are familiar with the brand. The S1 is so small and compact. Can run off battery and seems to provide a high quality sound with enough power for what we need. And has inbuilt reverb as well. Cheers 🙌
Best speaker ever for vocals. Not line in music though. Don't get it for a boom boox. If you want it for just music then get a Jbl partybox of your choice.
It's not the most 'affordable' if you are on a budget, Bose is notoriously expensive (here is South Africa at least). There are many other brands offering something similar for less. IE Powerworks have something called the Atlantis which is a copy of the S1 for a fraction of the price. However this Bose sounds great and I have learned that when it comes to sound gear, you get what you pay for.
I use 2 L1 model 1S, one has the B1 and the other has the B2, I use it in a duo setting with tracks and I can tell you the low end can rattle windows and doors in 200 person room. I also use it with a 5 piece rock band and the bass player runs through the system as does drums and my guitar as well as 4 vocal mics. Not sure what you base the lack of low end on, can’t comment on the S1 pro but looks like a handy unit for small gigs, especially like the battery aspect. Also, great performance, I liked everything you played and you are obviously very talented. Greetings from New Zealand. Mike.
Will this be loud enough for pub/bar gigs ? I have a Boss acoustic singer pro, looking for something to bump the sound up but I’m looking for portable and loud.
Hi Mick, It's pretty loud for its size, but the real power lies in how good it sounds and how far it throws at a moderate volume level. It's mind blowing... In my honest opinion, yes it will handle pub gigs (Guitar and vocal - no backing tracks)
Hey Stuart ..nice tips.. Im a musician like u .gignn n buskin. I use loopstation300.n i was looking for battery amp that if u make percusion like bangin slap the guitar..what du u think is good... Im planingbto get a JBL eon one..what du u think about .for slpin bangin for looping..u think it can handle. Thanks so much.. Nuce plyin too..
I haven’t used the JBL myself but it has a bigger speaker diaphragm so naturally it will be able to handle more low end than the Bose, so in your case the JBL will be better for percussive style looping… The Bose sounds great but struggles for volume when you push Bass through it so you will most likely get frustrated. Unless you plan to keep your volume levels pretty soft. If you can, go demo them at a store so that you can ‘buy once, buy right’ ! Good luck, let me know what you decide on
Hi Elton, No it does not act as an interface, however you can run a cable from the line out of the speaker into an interface and record from there. So essentially you will get the Bose EQ and Sound going straight into your interface... Hope that makes sense.
It should be okay at a low volume but I recon it will bottom out quickly if you try turn it up. I have a bass at home, I'll plug it in and let you know
The bass straight into the S1 sounds pretty nice, smooth and tight, but as I thought, as soon as you push the volume the speaker craps out. I recon it will be fine to practise at home alone with it, but definitely not with a band.. Maybe as a folk duet (But it will have to be a low volumes). I also think that in the S1's price range you could find a Bass Amp that will knock the S1 out the park. Thats just my opinion and I hope it helps, but let me know what you decide :)
@@arnelzablan1498 You can run a mixer into the inputs of the S1 if you need the extra channels of the mixer. But the guit in mixer sounds really good as it it so I'd recommend plugging straight into it
I have both. Cube Street EX has more options for different guitars, is more durable, and you can remove the batteries (double A) and even use rechargeable ones. The Bose S1 is very convenient, is lighter, has Bluetooth, and arguably a better sound. Bose louder, too, though both sufficient.
We haven't been able to perform in public since the 26th of March. (Today is the 21st of May) I doubt we will be able to play live gigs anytime soon. I have just done my first 'live stream gig'. The things we took for granted... You are gonna love this piece of gear!!
@@stuartreeceband How do you cope moneywise Stu if you don't mind me asking? Do you have work outside of music? I'm looking forward to getting the Bose. Got a small Roland street amp atm...and that's amazing to me... : )

Sounds great!
Thanks for the thourogh review and opinion
Great review, man, thanks.
Very helpful. Thank you!
Great video! You sound awesome, keep it up!
What loop station are you using?
Thanks brother keep rocking!
Great review
Awesome review thanks 👍
Currently looking at a battery powered setup but do want the percussion low end sound
Maybe the new Boss Street Cube 2 for guitar and the Bose for singing would be a good setup ?
Great review. Im a keyboard player and have been looking at the s1 pro (2 of them) im impressed with what I hear but the test time is when you get them home or a 1st venue I am worried incase my sound from a keyboard will get lost from a small speaker
They will surprise you, they impress everyone when they hear the sound produced from such a small box for the first time . Although if you were to buy 2 S1s I’d seriously consider 1 x Bose L1 Pro 8 rather. Its far more powerful and other than it not running on batteries it’s just as convenient to set up
Keyboards- QSC K8.2 different level than Bose for keyboards! Only $50 more at $650 but no battery.
Thank you for this nice review and demos! What would you say comparing it to Roland BA-330?
Very helpful review - enjoyed listening. Do you think one of these would be loud enough for busking with digital piano and vocals? 🎹💛🌈
Man, I play out as a solo artist 3 to 4 nights a week..... just saw one of these at a pawn shop for $400.... had no idea about it until I just watched your video.... I'll be right back.
Did you end up getting it?
S1 Pro, simply the best.
Well...maybe 2% less than perfect, that is. ;-)
How does the HK Polar10 compare to Bose S1?
@@scottbecker3485 How do you think the JBL PRX One will compare to the RCF JMIX8?
Good review thank you. How did you hook your loop unit into the Bose?
you sound great man!
Which would you prefer the Bose or rcf jmix8
Brilliant! 💯
Please, what was the brand of guitar you were using.
Thanks very realistisk test
Hi Stuart,
You sound great!!!
I'm having a difficult time from gear shops getting the answer to my question so I guess I might have better luck if I ask an owner.
I want to know if the Bose S1 charges while in use with the power cord plugged into the wall.
Thank you
Liberty
I was told that it charges in all ‘switch positions’ so that will include while it’s in use and plugged into the wall.
Hey man nice job on getting some UA-cam content going.
Can it run with bluetooth from a mixboard on a live gig?
@@stuartreeceband Thanks Stuart, answered a lot of questions I had.
Good luck, let me know which one you go for 😎
I have both, the Bose S1 Pro is better.
Nice playing! Where’d you get the black shirt you had on? It’s 👌
A large but generic clothing store in SA called Mr Price
I haven’t tried the JBL but I do think the 8” will naturally have more low end. Have you tested it yourself yet?
@@stuartreeceband No, I haven't had the $$ to do so yet.
Sound on the speakers is a little pale. Anyway you made it look good.
What you use for looping? I was heard blues club street ex and sound very awful when compared to this Boss but your reviews keep my away from Boss S1 for looping. Cheers
Thank you for your review. May I ask what column array do you have?
Hi John, I have the RCF Evox Jmix8
Stuart Reece thanks Stuart 👍🏽
Do you think it would suitable for a singer with backing tracks to use for some busking and then home use such as a small party?
In my opinion yes, you can comfortably busk through it with track and vocal. I use it at home almost everyday to play music through. I can't play it at full volume without it being uncomfortably loud, so you can definitely have a small party at home with it. I can tell you honestly that I will keep this piece of gear for life - it is just that good.
@@stuartreeceband Thanks pal. My wife is the singer: ua-cam.com/video/B9TiOlZsT5g/v-deo.html
We use the Bose L1 Model 2 with B2 bass for our normal gigs and we love it.
In your opinion is this the best affordable amp for singing (Guitar also ofcoure...)
I’m debating an S1 Pro and an F1 sub. I’ve heard good things. Then again L1 1S with B2 Bass could be just as good for the same price.
Did you end up doing it?
Stuart Reece, not yet. Now looking into the RCF EVOX 8 or the Bose L1 1S. I decided I don’t want to put the S1 on a stand next to the F1.
Mike.
Thanks a lot Mate
Will this be loud enough for pub/bar gigs ?
I have a Boss acoustic singer pro, looking for something to bump the sound up but I’m looking for portable and loud.
Hi Mick, It's pretty loud for its size, but the real power lies in how good it sounds and how far it throws at a moderate volume level. It's mind blowing... In my honest opinion, yes it will handle pub gigs (Guitar and vocal - no backing tracks)
I have both, maybe the S1 Pro a bit louder.
Lu lagi nyari lagu viga si bose bro, tapi ga muncul2? ,, sama bro
Does anyone know how to take the speaker off the stand?
Good luck, let me know what you decide on
@@stuartreeceband ok thanks
hi do i need a mixer for this thing to cut the lo frequency of my mic or does the speaker come with the setting
No you don’t need an extra mixer. The ‘built in’ mixer sounds great and has a nice reverb.
What do you charge for a show
Sir, can we use that s1 pro as an interface? Like doing a simple recording. Do you know? Thanks. Btw, good job on the video.
Hi Elton, No it does not act as an interface, however you can run a cable from the line out of the speaker into an interface and record from there. So essentially you will get the Bose EQ and Sound going straight into your interface... Hope that makes sense.
Can you link them together for a duo? Two guitar two vocals?
Bose connect app does that.
how long does it last outside? i play like 8 hours some days, and is there a way to add battery by buying another one? thank u
It has an 11-hour battery life and I can vouch for that as I use mine all the time!
@@lisawanderess thank u that is good
I find that I have to play cleaner through the S1. It picks up every little mistake. Do you find the same?
Yes, It can be unforgiving to inconsistent strumming, Maybe a softer plectrum smoothens things out?
Get a lil two ch mixer with phantom
How do you think the speaker will handle a bass guitar?
It should be okay at a low volume but I recon it will bottom out quickly if you try turn it up. I have a bass at home, I'll plug it in and let you know
@@stuartreeceband much appreciated
The bass straight into the S1 sounds pretty nice, smooth and tight, but as I thought, as soon as you push the volume the speaker craps out. I recon it will be fine to practise at home alone with it, but definitely not with a band.. Maybe as a folk duet (But it will have to be a low volumes). I also think that in the S1's price range you could find a Bass Amp that will knock the S1 out the park. Thats just my opinion and I hope it helps, but let me know what you decide :)
Ok thanks bro
Hello, what is your loop system please ?
Boss RC30
Background ornaments we are...
What stand are you using for your iPad?
iPad Holder by Hercules.
Sir did you used the reverd function and what what was the volume level?
Yes, I had the reverb on and only slightly turned up, about 10 to 15%...
@@stuartreeceband had you tried using sound mixer?
@@arnelzablan1498 You can run a mixer into the inputs of the S1 if you need the extra channels of the mixer. But the guit in mixer sounds really good as it it so I'd recommend plugging straight into it
But it is mandatory to play Wonderwall.
how much frikin low end u want Bose is known for it's low end. My S1 pro has plenty of low end and more to spare
Do you think that Bose s1 pro is better than cube street ex?
Additionally which one of these two would you pick for a street performing?
I haven't tested the Cube Street Ex, but I can certainly vouch for the S1.
I have both. Cube Street EX has more options for different guitars, is more durable, and you can remove the batteries (double A) and even use rechargeable ones. The Bose S1 is very convenient, is lighter, has Bluetooth, and arguably a better sound. Bose louder, too, though both sufficient.
How are you coping mate with the covid shit?
All the best from Scotland!
Once shops open here...I'm getting a Bose s1 pro : )
We haven't been able to perform in public since the 26th of March. (Today is the 21st of May) I doubt we will be able to play live gigs anytime soon. I have just done my first 'live stream gig'. The things we took for granted... You are gonna love this piece of gear!!
