It is soooooo easy to get sucked into buying more than you mean to in an auction; I learned that years ago at the Comic Con art auctions. They really trigger one's fear of missing out, that's for sure. That first bag you pulled out? LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT. Every color in it is divine. Regarding the flowers on the Kaffe fabrics, I was going to say morning glories but I think you are correct with trumpet vine. I got sucked into that mindset of, “I WILL get my number in there and win that bid!” It’s cool to hear your name called, until Sunday morning in your email is this huge bill!! That’s NOT so much fun! I always watched for Tula. That was my soft spot. I LOVE the Kaffe fabrics!! And good luck on that gorgeous quilt. Too much intricacy for my foggy, feeble mind!! I bought the Moda kit when Sew Yeah first introduced it back into production. I am following Stephanie's stitches on YT in making mine. I also fell into the impulse trap, but I have learned a LOT of restraint when shopping with the guys. I am trying not to buy fabric for as many months as possible this year unless it's needed to finish a quilt. Honestly I really don't need anything but I always find myself watching Sew Yeah.
Beautiful quilt! Yes yes you can do a block a week! And before you know it it'll be done! The other fabrics are beautiful too! I've purchased online from their shop but never at one of the live shows! It feels good to splurge every now and again! You'll enjoy this fabric for sure!!! Love seeing the fur baby!

I've decided to stop buying so many pre-cuts - nothing but FQs and yardage from now on. I have bought some Vegas Strips, but I have to really watch it, because they are tempting as candy! My favorite thing they have is the scrap bags, because I do mostly scrappy quilts and I DO use all the selvedges too. I subscribed to their monthly boxes for the very first time, as it looks like a good value for the money. I can't afford to do too many monthly subscriptions or countdown boxes at year-end, so I have to choose carefully, and this year it is Sew Yeah monthly and Soft Squares at year-end (A&B!)
I hope we get to see your blocks in the quilt kit, it will be a beautiful quilt! Anxious to see what you do with the other fabrics, I love the Grunge fabrics. I need to watch that!

My daughter bought that Moda quilt years ago at MSQ. She never made it and when she passed it to me, she couldn’t find the pattern. Soooo, I split up the fabrics by color and started using them for other things. Theeen, she found the pattern. Hmmm, what to do now? You can do this one! Sew yeah is so fun to watch…but a little dangerous!😂😇. Love your choices!

Note to self - don't register for the Sew Yeah online sales! I would impulse buy too much. What you got is wonderful though. The Moda quilt is just the old how to eat an elephant story - one bite at a time - you can do it! Looks like the temperature plummets this weekend here in the Midwest for a week or so. I love sew yeah, i only got the kaffe 108 that day, i think😊. I watch and buy as often as possible, but mostly on destash night. Havent tried the vegas strips yet, but now they have more patterns for them so ill give them a try.
The first time I found the Destash Sale on Saturday nights, I spent over $800. Obviously, that was quite the shock. I still watch, but I'm able to control myself now. I still never get away with less than $200. The good thing is that it is really high quality fabric. I haven't regretted anything that I have bought.
Hi Holly! Nice stuff! I watched a live recently. I wasnt going to order anyway. I was just gonna see what they had. But I had to turn it off because they were so rude. There was a girl and two guys sitting behind the guy who was showing the fabric and they were talking over the guy showing the stuff. Occassionaly the guy showing stuff would even join in there coversation. It was chaotic and rude. . I'm old and I grew up in the south where manners were focused on I guess Just saying... love Dandelion, he makes my day!

Measure your yardage. I measured my last haul of 3 and 4 yard bundles, and they were all cut bad. By the time I trimmed them to usable yardage I was down to 34-35". I did tell them and showed pictures and they just said sorry.
Hi Holly, Auctions did me in a while ago - I have 3 Singer Featherweights because of eBay. I used one of them in class for some time, but now I’m using my Kaffe Bernina. I cancelled my So Yeah box but now I’m trying to get it back. My living room is stacked with boxes I need to organize and put away. I’m hoping to do it tonight and tomorrow. I wonder if we will get snow down here this weekend. Fiona loves to eat it and get messy. It will give me an excuse to stay home. I wonder what we do with those Vegas strips. Found them last year, my biggest problem is the mystery bags or items. Got 2 layer cakes once to make bowl cozies, one was metallic, so not sure what to do with it now. 😢the k ffe FQ bundle went to trianglows. Much less expensive that way. I only do sat nights, small budget.

I actually stopped shopping Sew Yeah a few months ago.. the only value was in their Destash on Saturdays and even that has wayned.. they get the destash fabric whole sale by the pallet and at $6a yard its the average for discounted fabric but recently thry have been changing prices as it suits them . They have only been in the 'business about 5 years and alot of times 'make up' facts and statistics to appear more industry knowlegeable then they really are.. th3y are hustlers for sure but not industry pioneers.. also when they do special flash sales minky patterns ect.. is normally when Missouri Star or Fat Quarter Shop Hancock's ect are doing the SAME SALE but their prices are higher.. people get roped into the frenzy of bidding .. but if u really break it down you get better prices elsewhere.. Especially when they do the aurifil thread.. I always get better prices elsewhere
