    Can i use pecans instead of walnuts? Also can this fillings be used for minjiang kueh?

      Instead of using roasted pecans, you can also opt for peanuts. This is a healthier version and my original recipe does not include butter or oil, which I have used for fillings in tang yuan, glutinous rice rolls, steamed buns, as well as pancakes, cakes, and even sesame extracts for ice cream.

    Do i really need to put nuts or is it ok not to put any kinds of nuts just sesame seeds

    Please grind all the seeds and walnuts first finely before adding sugar and water. I have been mixing for 20 minutes and it's still not fine.

      The reason is your blender not good and not able to blend ice right? For me, it’s the best and healthy recipe I created and the easy steps for all in one. It’s worked perfectly every time I make it. You need a ice blender or coffee grinder which is much more powerful to avoid what it is caused by your situation.

      I used my homemade black sesame paste for glutinous rice cake roll, glutinous rice ball and steamed bun fillings.
