@@greatvanzini same thing I've read. That Eric wrote it. Maybe they wrote it together, but I don't think so. As a matter of fact, when Joan first released it I had heard that it was written by Eric and I do believe ThE Hooters were helping to get her name out there to get her started. They've done it before. Eric and Rob wrote Cyndi Laupers Time After Time, They also wrote one or more for Patty Smyth. But yeah, I'm going to double check this one. I'm pretty sure that Prince did sing it as did many others, but don't think he wrote it.
@@MrRockhard96 I just checked it out and all over the net there are links explaining that yes, Prince did cover this song on one of his albums but Eric B. Wrote it. But the fact that Prince recorded it on his album and he rarely did any covers is why so many think he wrote it, but every link you go to will say that it was written by Eric. What can one say, Prince did have good taste in music. ;)
