I almost cried when you were telling the story of when Yasmin had helped you. We all have those moments where an act of kindness stays with us. That's why I always try my hardest to be good to others... you absolutely never know when you might accidentally change someone's life by going out of your way to do a good deed.
Beautifully and accurately said! I can also recommend Gothamista's channel on Korean beauty products - she is like an Asian-American Lisa, very calming and knowledgable about skincare.
Yes, Gothamista is one of my favorites too. I recommend also +BARE (Stephanee/StyleByBare) she is go-to for K-beauty for oily/deeper skin tones. They're both amazing.
It's so rare these days in beauty on UA-cam. I like full on looks but they are everywhere, all highlight and contour. Lisa just exudes sheer class and skill
I love your videos! I work with troubled teenage girls (felons) and I am always trying to teach them to find the beauty in themselves, naturally when it comes to makeup. It has worked because over time they have learned to master the natural, 'french' look that I find in your videos. Teenagers really don't have someone in their life that can show them about makeup. Knowing how to use makeup properly really lifts their self-esteem so that they want to finish their education and move on to proper jobs! Thank you!
Let me just say that Lisa's comment section is one of the nicest out there! This just proves that positivity attracts more positivity. You guys are great!
I had to pause the video so I could make a cup of tea because this is like sitting in the living room with you two! I'm Yasmin's age and adored her back in the day - she's still so beautiful and funny and charming. Thank you Lisa for such a lovely video.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for doing makeup on a "mid-life" model. So much of the time it's either on girls or mature skin with wrinkles. There needs to be more for women who are a young 50.
I don't usually comment but Yasmin was such a pleasure to watch and listen to! She had such a lovely sense of humor and, of course, a stunning face. Please bring her back for another video! And as always, Lisa your work is stunning.
I see why you adore her....she seems so down to earth and fun. Someone you call up to say..."meet for drinks I need to vent" and she would be right there! Great video--I learn at least 5 things each video.
I don't know how old you are Yasmin, but you look absolutely gorgeous!! You're such an amazing person! Great sense of humor and your inner beauty really shows! Thank you for having Lisa film you and hope you come back for another one!! Cheers lovely! 😍😍😍😍
The end of this video was so touching. When you recalled the airport incident and Yasmin had tears in her eyes as you expressed your gratitude. How beautiful.
Such a warm person. Thank you for bringing her to us and thank you Yasmin for coming. I am too young to have been living through the 90's models era and I didn't know her, but I will sure never forget her. She is beautiful. I love these kind of videos, where you bring guests and talk to them through the makup-applying-process, Lisa. Thank you so much.
I read the title, so I knew you had a guest, Lisa, but I got completely shocked that it wasn't you on that thumbnail!! I was so certain, I just thought you had a different style makeup on! Wow! What a resemblance! Excellent tutorial as always, and Yasmin is lovely!
I love how she talks, in terms of sharing stories. She also looks at you (the audience) as if it was a group conversation, like you were there with her and Lisa 😊. I agree that she is so beautiful and skin is perfect!
Yasmin was absolutely perfect! Very down to earth and speaking directly into the camera I felt like she was talking directly to me! I am 53 and this is my ultimate Lisa Eldridge video! Love, love, love
The story in the end of the video got tears on my eyes.. I am quite hormonal currently. But it is soooo sweet and I really know the feeling. I had experienced the feeling of being alone in an airport in a foreign country, and found that I lost my passport and boarding pass, and I was alone there! It was also my first trip ever to another country ever. So I can really relate to that feeling of helplessness. If there had been someone who helped me at that time, I would have been forever grateful to them. So I am so touched both of you have built your relationship in a very good way.
Yes it was Nairobi airport, it was hot and crazy busy and I honestly couldnt imagine what I would do if I hadnt got on the flight. Yasmin was a big deal and could have just looked after herself and went off on her way to New York (many would), I always remembered her kindness and caring nature, above everything else x
Dear Lisa, amazing tutorial as always! Here's how to pronounce Kjaer Weis: Kjaer is roughly pronounced like the english word 'care', but with a soft j in it. Kind of like you pronounce the letter Q, so: 'qare'. Haha. And Weis is pronounced like the english word 'vice'. Love, Thea from Denmark.
I was just about to write a comment like this :b I have been thinking about it since the Organic Burgundy Look - and I think the easiest way to say Kjær is: K-yeah (: I love these videos where it is a mix of conversation and memories and make-up (: The perfect way to use my Friday morning (:
excuse me? congratulations! you managed with one sentence to show exactly what i was trying to say. i was not referring to the women in my life, but about the ones that are so publicized today on every means of media.
It must have been a blessing to have clients who are not only famous, or interesting, but also kind-hearted and genuinely good person. I love that you share some of your best clients with us! It puts them in more of a personal context than just someone "out there."
It is so refreshing to see a face that hasn't been "blanked out" by thick makeup, then recreated. I feel it translates so much better for every kind of face. Thank you Lisa.
This is the first time I hear you (Lisa) laughs out loud so much ever in a guest episode!!! She truly is one hella funny and wise and charming lady! And I'm so moved by the story at the end, who would have thought the strong/expert/professional/empowering Lisa eldridge herself had a time when she panicked in a newbee moment in her early career! It just reminds me that everyone will overcome fear and embarrassments and challenges and one day we can all become a professional of something like Lisa! Thanks for sharing your story Lisa, I love this video!!!
What a stunning woman Yasmin is! I've been following her on the magazines and the web since the 80ies... also because I was a Duran Duran fan. She is one of the model queens on that time and despite the 3 children and the years, she has changed very very VERY little.
Lisa this is a great format. I generally love watching you carefully apply makeup to pretty, quiet models but this was far more entertaining! I love the makeup-and-talk format. Can we get more of this pretty please?
Such a treat to get a glimpse of Yasmin's personality. She's so delightful. Loved the chit chat between you two. She looks so fantastic for her age. also, thank you for featuring a more mature model. her commentary on facial wipes struck a cord with me i've gotten lazy and use those every day and dont always do a proper cleanse. I will from now on! xo
Lisa is the most professional woman. her advise are always the best. I've known this channel almost tree weeks and I must say that she has changed my life...my acne is out and I've learn how to care of my skin. On Chile we love you Lisa!!! great video blessings!
Lisa, thank you for posting this video!! Yasmin has been a long time idol of mine and I enjoyed this video so much. My eyes were glued to the screen the whole time. Beautiful make up and conversation xx
This is one of the best things I've seen in a long time on UA-cam ! You two are absolutely lovely, I felt like I was in the room with you, listening to the conversation whilst drinking a cup of tea... Perfect ! Thank you for this lovely moment x
OH MY GOODNESS Lisa! I cannot believe you brought out the ULTIMA II shades! Having grown up with Duran Duran's music and seeing Yasmin's beautiful face in countless editorials, this video is such a wonderful gift that you've given to us! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Please do get Simon, or better yet Nick on here for a beauty chat like this!!!! That would literally make my LIFE!!!! And how can Yasmin be so darn pretty?!?!?!?!?!?
Oh, Lisa! Thank you so much for this. I remember when Yasmin and Simon started dating. I was a huge Duranie. I used to take her photos out of Vogue etc. I collected photos of Renee Simonsen as well because I loved John Taylor! LOL. I've always felt Yasmin was so down to earth and lovely, and now I know that to be true. What a fabulous rapport the two of you have.
I love this! I always love your videos, Lisa, but to see Yasmin here too after so many years of admiring her (she is still perfection) was an extra special treat. Bravo!
Loved watching this video - Yasmin is gorgeous with or without makeup. Love her sense of humor. Great DNA - would ❤ to see what her parents look like and how the mix of Iranian and English creates such beauty
Am I the only who thinks they could be sisters? Love watching your videos, Lisa. So grateful for the wealth of knowledge you share in each and every video
Oh my goodness. Yasmin!!! She was my favourite model back in my teenage time either. It was so nice to hear that little story you told at the end. Thanks Lisa
Be still my heart! The 90s memories are flooding back and beautiful Yasmin hasn't changed one bit! I never knew she was this funny. The makeup Lisa applied is all the best parts of the 90s makeup before it became punk rock with the overplucked eyebrows and dark lip liner. Yasmin's beauty was all about being strong, womanly and regal. I hope everyone gets a chance to Google some of her old magazine covers because they are stunning. Wonderful video Lisa!
Oh my God, she's SUCH a lovely person! Being American and the age where I was a teenager in the 80's, I was in awe of these supermodels who bagged rockstars. I tried to copy their personal style thinking maybe I could find a rocker of my own (but my jobs as art student and part-time shirt presser were not nearly as glamorous, lol!) But I've often wondered about their personalities. Obviously time and being a parent mellows us all out, but Yas is just a doll.
I loved this so much! I was a teenager in the 80's....Yasmin was always my favorite model! Back when there was no youtube or tutorials, my friends and I would buy an Elle magazine every month, to learn how to do makeup (and Yasmin was frequently on the cover). So cool to learn more about her and hear her stories! :)
Oh myyyy... She is 51?! Is she a vampire or something? Lol. Seriously, she is absolutely gorgeous and seems like a very down-to-earth and lovely person. Just like you, Lisa. I loved this chatty video and the look is beautiful. Thank you! x
perfect example of why people should relax about all these creams and products and procedures...it is DNA...either you are born with it or you aren't. no need to fret.
Yes, but she also said she's looked after it a lot because its only one time, you mess it up once and its done! When she was talking about teaching her kids not to use wipes and look after their skin.
Aneesa Shah no, i don't forget she is a model...that is the entire point. She doesn't go above and beyond to take care of it or do anything extraordinary...she has damaged it in the past etc and still looks like this. that is GENETICS...not products. products just temporarily change the look of your skin...they don't do anything to improve the elasticity, wrinkles, plumpness, etc
I've watched this twice now, and I can't believe how the airport story makes me tear up each time. Watching this has been a treat and a treasure, and I hope this concept might become a regular series on your channel.
Holy crow! I requested this ages ago.....I can't believe it actually happened. Yay!! This was the loveliest makeup tutorial and chat. Loved hearing all the stories and the obvious warmth of friendship that exists between you two. Wonderful. x
Nick! Nick! Nick!!! I feel like he wears a ton more than Simon, especially back in the 80's, PLEASE HAVE ONE OF THEM ON! Especially while they're not touring right now!
This was such a pleasure to watch! Two beautiful and classy women that know how to uplift rather than break down. Thank you so much to you both for sharing this with us!!
I LOVED this! Hearing u guys reminiscing about the beginning of your careers and the type of makeup you used and the experiences in the modeling industry....I loved all of it! Loved it. Loved it. Loved it!
Just wanted to tell you that Yasmin talking about magnesium was really helpful. I looked through my daily multivitamin and saw I was missing it so I bought a bottle and it has helped immensely! I take one 250mg pill a day with my morning vitamins and I have noticed a decrease in my appetite. I am currently eating right and exercising in order to get to a healthy weight and this has been so helpful! Thank you ❤
There is a warmth and grace that radiates from her when she smiles. On top of being incredibly funny it just seems right for her to be a supermodel. This is an incredible video Lisa! It's seem like you two are very kindred spirits and that precious story you told her about the first trip you took when she saved you seems like your friendship was meant to be.
OH! It's only bloody Yasmin Le Bon! 😍😍 Ooh I'm 14 again, doing my makeup from a copy of 'Jackie' magazine and watching on whilst one of the nicest, hottest models bags the lead singer of one of the hottest bands of that era. Instead of chasing the fame like other models at that time, Yasmin just exuded a fantastic work ethic and great family values. What a wonderful lady! Would be lovely to see her on your channel again, Lisa, and perhaps Amber too... or any of her daughters. Thanks for sharing.
This was such a lovely film, Lisa! I actually felt really moved about that little piece of story at the end. Yasmin seems such a nice, genuine person, so far away from the new generation of supermodels. And oh, she was gorgeous and still is, such a charming a classy woman! Thanks for having her!
this is the air I want to exude when I am fifty. serene, down to earth, owning my likes and dislikes without drama. and able to smile and laugh.
rohvmal definitely!!
Beautifully said : )
Save your money then. :)
Is it me or do Lisa and Yasmin look SO alike. Both such beautiful, well spoken ladies.
I think that too! :)
BurnItUpp2009 they do 😍!
I thought so too! Then when Yasmin grins she morphs into Keira Knightley.
always thought so too! :)
BurnItUpp2009 yes
this woman is 51 people! she looks 35.. what a timeless beauty.
What! Wow. Just wow.
OMG!!! I DIDNT KNOW!!...incredible beauty woman
I know, right??? Crazy.
And she's so funny too!
I think she's 52 today. Happy Birthday Yasmin! She's also seems so lovely, too.
I almost cried when you were telling the story of when Yasmin had helped you. We all have those moments where an act of kindness stays with us. That's why I always try my hardest to be good to others... you absolutely never know when you might accidentally change someone's life by going out of your way to do a good deed.
An oasis of grace and sanity in UA-camland!
ikr? Lisa, Mary Greenwell,Charlotte, Dick Page, Pat....always a pleasure in watching their craft and passion for cosmetics!
Beautifully and accurately said! I can also recommend Gothamista's channel on Korean beauty products - she is like an Asian-American Lisa, very calming and knowledgable about skincare.
That's exactly what I thought when I subscribed to @gothamista 15 seconds into the first video I viewed on her channel!
I could hear her talk nonstop. Her voice is so soothing and gentle!

So true! But then who could ever be nasty or impolite when we know that Lady Lisa is reading here also, xD.
I'ma need a skincare routine from Yasmin because she's literally glowing!!!
I had to pause the video so I could make a cup of tea because this is like sitting in the living room with you two! I'm Yasmin's age and adored her back in the day - she's still so beautiful and funny and charming. Thank you Lisa for such a lovely video.
The story at the end is the most heartwarming thing- and the husband with the eyeliner is hilarious.
She is absolutely gorgeous even without makeup. She is a timeless beauty with poise, beauty, charm and wit.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for doing makeup on a "mid-life" model. So much of the time it's either on girls or mature skin with wrinkles. There needs to be more for women who are a young 50.

The end of this video was so touching. When you recalled the airport incident and Yasmin had tears in her eyes as you expressed your gratitude. How beautiful.

I love these videos where it is a mix of conversation and memories and make-up (: The perfect way to use my Friday morning (:
She seems so nice and sweet!! Thank you for inviting her!
Two of the most beautiful women in the world. And they are so smart, so feminine without being "girly", I love them.
this was beautiful! i wish more women acted like you two: funny, smart and elegant
excuse me? all my female friends are funny, intelligent, interesting and great conversationalists
scotchcoke woah there the world is not centred around you. Maybe that person who commented has a bad experience with selecting his/her friends
underwaterdrum if you have a problem with a lot of women, the one common element is you - maybe you're the problem and not them.
Exactly ! Why all the negative comments, people ? So unnecessary...
excuse me? congratulations! you managed with one sentence to show exactly what i was trying to say. i was not referring to the women in my life, but about the ones that are so publicized today on every means of media.
It must have been a blessing to have clients who are not only famous, or interesting, but also kind-hearted and genuinely good person. I love that you share some of your best clients with us! It puts them in more of a personal context than just someone "out there."

Proof that The Nakeds is still classic and timeless makeup that will never go out of style. Thank you for doing the classic 80s Kevyn Aucoin look.

Thanks for sharing your story Lisa, I love this video!!!
How gorgeous! 51???No way! She reminds me of Keira Knightley.
What a stunning woman Yasmin is! I've been following her on the magazines and the web since the 80ies... also because I was a Duran Duran fan. She is one of the model queens on that time and despite the 3 children and the years, she has changed very very VERY little.
This lady is 51 ! 51 !!!
Great video as usual, Lisa.

Lisa, why does she look so much like you? It's incredible, I thought it was you in the thumbnail
Lisa this is a great format. I generally love watching you carefully apply makeup to pretty, quiet models but this was far more entertaining! I love the makeup-and-talk format. Can we get more of this pretty please?

Oh lisa, when you said your danish is terrible my heart melted. I'll be your tutor any time! thank you for a great video. xxxx
Such a treat to get a glimpse of Yasmin's personality. She's so delightful. Loved the chit chat between you two. Oh my goodness. Yasmin!!! She was my favourite model back in my teenage time either. It was so nice to hear that little story you told at the end. Thanks Lisa

Diana Lang what ?! I thought she was in her 30s!!! her skin looks better than mine!
Aneesa Shah she literally said "i don't deserve this skin, I have put it through hell"

This was the loveliest makeup tutorial and chat. Loved hearing all the stories and the obvious warmth of friendship that exists between you two. Wonderful. x
Damn! I'd die for a video with Simon! And his tricks of course! Loved this video! Thanks for sharing:)

Yessssssssssssss Nick Rhodes still rocks his make-up! :D
Nick! Nick!
Could you do a Lily Rose Depp Make-up turorial?? I love the makeup she is wearing sooo much.
Thank you ❤
Such a natural video. The relationship between you two was wonderful to watch. Beautiful video and I think one of my favourites. Truly.
How is she 51 years old??? Wowzers.
52 next month!
Ms. Le Bon is an absolute delight. She is so charming, and funny! Loved seeing her as a feature on your channel, Lisa!
Women celebrating women! Thanks for sharing this with us Lisa.
