- Hello there and welcome to my video. In today's video, I'll be testing out a system configuration that you can easily go out and buy right now for my acclaimed price without any serious deal hunting. Whether or not that convenience and speed is worth the sacrifices made with this system? That all depends on who you are and what you plan to do with it. Maybe this video will be able to help you out with that.
Music, in order:
Beyond - Patrick Patrikios
Soul Searching - Causmic
Sunny Days - Anno Domini Beats
Sunday Rain - Cheel
5:36 - Title of overlay should say "Spider-Man - 1080P - Low - FSR Balanced". My bad!
6:37 - Title of overlay should say "FH5 - 1080P - Low". Again, my bad!
I watch these videos 3 times before releasing them... I'm disappointed that these two errors went uncaught by me, I'll try to do better! At least the voiceover is correct, though.
I recently found your channel and binge-watched it all! I love your content! I will eagerly await the next one! Cheers!
I have a RX550 in my i7-7700 system and no matter which game I'm playing it consistently cranks out 59-60 fps. It is an excellent budget GPU.
U could have much more with a better gpu tho
@@lurch789 i know starfield is taxing lmao someone i know is getting 52 fps with a 6800xt on 2k ultre
The little RX550 that could! It's no heavy lifter, but with 4GB of Vram, FSR, MANY titles are playable. Under $200 to play plenty of games makes a happy budget/ entry level gamer. Give a kid their first PC with these specs. Teach them to tinker with settings and make the system go further ^_^ Emulation on these PCs is awesome btw.
Also a note or resolution scaling, MANY of the old systems rendered lower and upscaled. Xbox 360 almost always upscaled from 720p and Xbox one OFTEN upscaled from 900p. Running 1080p 75% isn't so bad.
In addition, while infinite may struggle, I bet the ENTIRE Master Chief Collection runs fine. With the lower end systems, it's more important to think about what you CAN play vs what you can't. Yesturday's RPGs on steam are all heavily discounted OFTEN and who doesn't love buying something like skyrim, bioshock, Fallout, or an Indy like Tunic or hyperlite drifter for WELL under original price and sometimes under $10.
Finding anything on this card is impossible, thanks for the video!
I believe the RX 550 is about the same performance as a K1200 Quadro. Being AMD it lends itself to running Steamdeck IOS. AMD FSR would also be useful.
FSR runs on any gpu, not just amd ones
I can't hear that song without thinking of Trash Taste, haha.
Great video so far :)
Ahaha, I've heard of that channel but haven't seen many of their videos, gonna have to check them out. Always funny when you hear music you associate with one youtuber in another youtuber's videos!
2:39 : That's freaking fast! For my activities it's more than just enough
I have a SSF Asus at home which runs i5-7400 and no gpu, thinking this time I wont use Windows OS, instead will use Android OS on it, there probably many android games and apps which consume less resources than pc ones games. Pay for an ugly low profile gpu for a SFF pc is not my priority, I prefer buffy gpus lol.
Low profile really appears to limit your options. I am not an NVIDIA fangirl but a GTX 970 does not cost much more and is far better in Direct X 12 titles. The price on ebay of GTX 1050 TI low profile on eBay are more than that of a full GTX 1070, which blows it away in performance.
Agreed, the low profile-ness of it definitely is a limiting factor. The only real upside to this is that you don't have to worry about any real PSU issues, as a PSU for a mini tower desktop that has PCIe connectors is a decent little price hike because of how stupidly expensive PSUs are at the moment. Definitely a good option to consider, though!
Sata to 6 pin
@@appsaucetech Yes but depending on the power draw of the card and the way in which it draws its power (priority PCIe lane or power connector) and how many SATA power connectors the adapter uses; it can be an actual hazard.
At a local Goodwill computer store they had an i5 8th Gen in a mini-box. It does have punch outs for low profile card. It really looks like there are not man good options got low profile cards to go with an 8th Gen i5. It was pretty cheap, 120 dollars, but they claim it has a hard drive. Based on that, I would need to throw a little money at it and decided just not worth it.
@@CompHwTipsAndTutorials I'm not saying to run a 6950xt using sata to power it, something like that is a fire hazard. Something like the 1060 would be perfect as those are good enough that they would even need external power and nvidia shouldve made them low profile.
