Look after your kid, they deserve it. Thank for the entertainment.
Thank you!!
hey dad, good to see you come in. good presence on the channel and give the kids a break while they be kids. look forward to more great vids. cheers from Oz
Both the kids are VERY smart and appear to be highly motivated. Kudos for Claire taking on the college courses.
Recently I've been listening to a lot of Dokken- Dream Warriors, Into the Fire, In my dreams, it's not love and of course the classic Breaking Chains
George Lynch has such a recognizable tone, playing style and sense of melody. I've loved his playing since hearing "Alone Again".
Humble Pie rocking the Gilmore. I don't need no doctor. Awesome heavy rocking song. You guys will love it. Stars Peter Frampton on guitar.
Perfect World by Huey Lewis and the News
Oh. You’re serious.
Thanks for the update! Looking forward to the new reactions.
I meant to say Filmore, not Gilmore
Yes "The Revealing Science of God" a 20 minute masterpiece from the 1973 album _Tales from Topographic Oceans._
Excellent suggestion!🎧🎧
From 1930's-As Time Goes By
From 1940's-Sing Sing Sing-Glenn Miller,
From 1950's-La Bamba (Ritchie Valens)
From 1960's-Runaway (Del Shannon)
From 1970's-Hooked on a Feeling-(Blue Suede)
From 1980's-The Winner Takes it All (ABBA) (Strong piano for Claire and Walker to play)
From 1990's-Orinoco Flow (Enya)
From 2000's-High Hopes (Nightwish)
From 2010's-Bridge To Terabithia - No Rain, No Rainbow - BABYMETAL (by Yulius Rovell)
Break out the tissues for that last one-a real tear jerker.
Hey Dad;) Claire and Walker did a reaction to the song Roundabout, which I first heard in 1972 when it hit the airwaves, by YES.
Depending on your taste, YES can be hard to get into. If you can’t stand what I call “Busy music”, you won’t like YES.
There is so much going on all the time it can be confusing. For myself, I’ve been listening to yes for 50 years. I still hear new things in pressings from 50 years ago. But I digress.
The album is Relayer, the song I suggest is Sound Chaser. It is as the name suggests, each instrument chasing the the one playing just notes before. It is my favorite guitar work of all time.
Roky Erickson and the whole album evil one is fantastik! Keep on rocking!
Nickle Creek- Destination, The Smoothie Song, The Hand Song, just about anything they've done.
Thanks for the update.
Has Dad heard of the band Halestorm?
If not, I would suggest the song 'I Am the Fire'. That one is safe for all ages.
This band features a brother and sister team.
Older sister and lead singer Lzzy Hale, younger brother and drummer Arejay Hale.
And , yes , they are 3 years apart as well. LOL
Big surprise! Lol!😂🎧🎧
Glad everybody's doing well again
You're doing a great job of parenting and raising them on the good music, for sure!
I think it's a great idea for Dad to include his reactions. I could probably rhyme off dozens of amazing, underappreciated songs. My first request would be for The Mexican by Babe Ruth. It's been around for almost 50 years but most people who recognize it only know of the sampled parts. Keep up the good work.
Glad you let em back in the house!! 😆
Great to know you guys have been stayin busy! A REAL good one I was thinking is "Danger Calling" by Icon. I honestly forgot about this song and how good it was/is until my Dad showed me it again! Can't wait for what's in store! Rock On! \m/ 🔊🎵🎵
It's been too long since they reacted to Roundabout. Dare you introduce them to 'Close to The Edge'? 😊 That's by 'Yes' of course.
Stuff you may not have heard of but is a guaranteed revelation:
Pendragon: If I Were The Wind (audio)
Arena:. Solomon. (audio)
Mostly Autumn: Heroes Never Die (audio)
Devin Townsend: Kingdom (video live - EMG TV)
Tool:. Invincible (audio)
Enjoy 😊
Kudos to both kids!!
Hey "Dad," I'm near Detroit which is across from Windsor, Canada and as such I've been able to hear a lot of Canadian artists (and some British artists) that maybe didn't get played down in SC (Canada requires a certain amount of Canadian artists to be played not just British or American, etc.) Here are a few: *Moev* - In and Out; Yeah, Whatever; Head Down. *Chalk Circle* - Artificial Sweetener. *I Mother Earth* - One More Astronaut, Not Quite Sonic, Rain Will Fall, Levitate, So Gently We Go. *The Grapes of Wrath* - Misunderstanding. *Honeymoon Suite* - New Girl Now. British bands: *The Orb* - Little Fluffy Clouds. *Killing Joke* - Eighties. BTW, my Uncle was a professor at USC-Spartanburg for nearly 20 years, from the late 70s to the 90s.
I'm in Buffalo, so I also get Canadian music. Love I Mother Earth. Also would add the Tea Party, Tragically Hip, Headstones, and Finger 11.
@@chriso6719 I was trying to think of bands that maybe didn't make it to South Carolina. I was trying to not take up too much space (didn't work, lol) so instead of Tragically Hip, I threw in Honeymoon Suite who he may have heard of since their song was in an episode of Miami Vice, but then again, maybe he didn't.
@@aliwantizu I know what you mean about failing to keep it short. LOL
I just remembered that Dad has traveled in Canada, so he almost certainly has heard the Hip.
Also ,if I remember correctly, The Tea Party are from the Windsor area.
Little River Band's "It's a Long Way There", the full 8 and a half minute album version.
All in for adding dad’s reactions into the mix! Here’s one that I’m pretty sure you haven’t heard - Kiss The Sky by Shawn Lee’s Ping Ping Orchestra - ua-cam.com/video/-ZEfMwOOsa0/v-deo.html
Correct..never heard of them.
Just found this channel. Awesome reactions by the offspring…..speaking of which if they haven’t done anything by The Offspring might be a good idea. My personal favorite is Gone Away (Five Finger Death Punch did an awesome cover of it also). So happy to see a younger generation carrying on some awesome music. As a dad you rock on sir!
To be honest, I miss the old room with you bouncing around in the background. It was fun. It`s going to be great to see you all again.
Cool Dad it's time for you to react!! We need your reaction
If you are interested in dabbling into some Industrial music, I would suggest something like:
FRONT 242 - Headhunter
SKINNY PUPPY - Dig it
- Stairs and Flowers
FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY- Body Count
Moonshine by Mike Oldfield
That's awesome, you should be very proud parents, and ya ,we need metal dad into the mix
Pops right on bouttime play some tunes you know what we like ljs great dad and family
Play some music from new band called Liliac band you'll like it brother ljs
Hello there dad glad you're doing well proud of the kids just like you are I'm proud of my niece and nephew my niece got straight A's made the honor roll doing well
Get the blues. It's the root of where EVERYTHING comes from.
The Allman Brothers Band has over 40 years of material to choose from.
I'm going on random, unplanned impulse, here, so the genres will be all over the map, so hopefully you can bare with me:
"Next Big Thing" - The Dictators
"TV Party" - Black Flag
"Nantucket Sleigh Ride" - Mountain
"In A Daydream" - Freddy Jones Band
"The Joker" - cover version by Ace Frehley
"On An Island" and "The Blue" - David Gilmour
"Everybody's Dancin'" - Cindy Blackman-Santana
I'll leave it at that for now. Cheerio!
Love the new set up! How about Thin Lizzy - Cowboy Song? Reaction Faction! 🍁 🎸
Listen to "Let me go rock and roll" off Alive 1 by Kiss. It's Ace Frehley at his best. You will not be disappointed.
There is a song called I’m serious I’m sorry by Jeff rosenstock which is one of my favorite songs
Blue October “Bleed Out” written from his wife’s point of view, and her dealing with him and his busy band schedule. Great song! Keep up the great vids!
AC/DC- Ain't No Fun Waiting Round To Be A Millionaire, do you know that one pops? If not try it it rocks it's awesome & it's funny.
Don't think I know that one.
@@3YearsApart1613 It's on the Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap album from '77 (I think) check it out & let us know what you think of it. I don't know if you know or not but that was with Bon Scott singing who had just an awesome voice. Thnx for replying 👍👍
Doesn t that song drop the f bomb? Pretty sure something about a f$!$$! jumbo jet
@@dawnpatrol700 yea it does patrol man it's at the very end of the song which I believe is 5 or 6 minutes long, he says "how you doing friend next door neighbor oh yea get your fuckin jumbo jet off my airport". The way Bon says it is in a way that only Bon can bcuz he has that distinctive voice. It's a funny line in an otherwise funny song IMO
@@miketheheartbreakkidvitale1783 Dirty Deeds was released on the Alberts label in 1976 in Australia. I bought it when it came out here.
Unleash the Archers: Awakening
Love you guys. I live not to far from you in North Carolina. Still haven't introduced Claire and Walker to my favorite band, Alice in Chains. Some suggestions with Layne Staley are "Nutshell" unplugged version, "Rooster", "Would?" Some suggestions of their new stuff are "Check My Brain", "Never Fade" and "All I Am".
Just a thought. Heading into the summer season…, how about you, and or the kids react to “In the summertime” by Mungo Jerry…? A truly fun, upbeat summer song, with a goofy fun music video…
would be good for the kids, but i am very familiar with this song. But definitely appropriate for the kids to do.
Confession 1: I started out with a list of 10-15 artists/songs...and, well, that's about a bunch too many. So, I whittled the list down to four.
Confession 2: I had the list down to three...and then OMG HOW COULD I FORGET BCC? So, what was three...became four.
Note: These are all recent-ish songs...probably more "for dad" and are well outside of the normal range of 60's-90's or thereabouts. But, y'all's call.
Beyond the Black, "Night Will Fade" - ua-cam.com/video/a29foLtUfqU/v-deo.html
Flying Colors, "The Storm" - ua-cam.com/video/k-jFtyHWUfI/v-deo.html
Winery Dogs, "Elevate" - ua-cam.com/video/fnMBix9Zq5o/v-deo.html
Black Country Communion, "Crossfire" - ua-cam.com/video/36T4OdfaTcI/v-deo.html
Three album cuts by BTO you may not be familiar with, Sledgehammer, Four Wheel Drive, Away From Home.
Extreme - Tragic Comic, GREAT video I think the kids as well as yourself would like. Rest In Peace, Am I Ever Gonna Change,
Rory Gallagher - Irish rock/blues legend. "I Wonder Who....Rory Gallagher Live in Belfast" and "Rory Gallagher - Do You Read Me (Rock Goes To College, 1979)"
Big Bopper Chantily Lace. Purple People Eater Meets the Witch Doctor. From the late 50s one is silly the other not. I bought the 45 at a yard sale when I was 8. I thought it was the one eyed,.one horned flying purple eater. I found myself like both sides aiot. Still have the 45.
You are doing s great job with them. I teach. I know good kids.
How about band Mad Season Song "River of Deceit"...Super group of the grunge bands on the 90's
“Bridge Of Sighs” or “Day Of The Eagle” Robin Trower.
You have done a fantastic job raising those two kids of yours! I would suggest anything by Frank Zappa, and there's a lot of material to sift through, but two of my favorites are, "Peaches En Regalia" and "The Adventures of Greggery Peccary". Both, I think, are kid friendly.
Thank you for the update. Glad everyone is doing well. I love the idea of you getting involved by listening to some more music. I'm a big music lover myself. I have a couple of new artists in mind that you should listen to or your kids and they are Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, and newer Justin Bieber songs. I know they're all today's pop artists but I enjoy listening to their lyrics. They write some pretty good stuff.
Another one that I recently found that I forgot about was Hoobastank the reason, same direction and out of control
Congratz Walker graduaction, next be high School 😋😋😋😋 greeting from 🇧🇷
WHAT HAPPENED??
Ok dad how about 1985 song from a band called Marillion song is called Kayleigh...its all about regret...good vocals and guitar
Misplaced Childhood is such a great album. An all-time fave.
Anything by The Four Seasons, perhaps "C'Mon Marianne", "Beggin'", "Tell it to the Rain", "Opus 17 (Don't Worry About Me), "Walk Like A Man".
Hay Dad. Good to hear everything's going well.
I have a few suggestions for you. I'm English so here are some suggestions from some UK guys that you may or may not have heard.
1 "I put a spell on you" by Bill Wyman's Rhythmn Kings. Amazing version of this great song with a real supergroup of Englinsh musicians.
2 "Don't tempt me" and "1952 Vincent Black Lightning" by Richard Thompson. This guy has been around for ever and has never produced a bad song. He writes some of the best lyrics you will hear from anyone and plays a pretty mean guitar too.
3 "Really Free" by John Otway. OK, you need to make your own mind up about this one. If you look up eccentric Englishman in the dicrtionary, John's name is what you get.
4 "Madam Medusa" by UB40. This is from their first album and is one of the highlights of their entire career as far as I am concerned. The later stuff is good but this is just at another level. Oh, it's long, over twelve minutes but worh every second. A bit of political stuff going on here from the seventies.
Have fun guys.
Very cool! You must be super proud of them....such good stuff!!!
Will you do reactions at any point with Claire and/or Walker? That would also work, I think. So I was thinking this for them, but you too dad- if somehow you've never heard it. "Foreplay/Long Time" by Boston. Just a small portion of arguably the GREATEST debut album in Rock & Roll history!!!
I am a huge Boston fan, so I have heard that one and so have the kids
My suggestion would be Dream Theater... would love to see the reaction from Claire and Walker, especially if it's the first time they listen to anything from them
Your a great Dad. I do miss the show, knowing the kids are so busy with school. Play classics 70's. Maybe pink floyd. Sheep or shine on crazy diamond.
Poison in Your Veiens by by Miles Kennedy’s band Alterbridge
Ok, love the kids reactions of YES music, but just a suggestion, a short intro of where the band was at the time of the song because YES is a band with transitional line up.
Redrider 'Lunatic Fringe'. ...(i bet you'll love this one)
No Time to Lose by the Tarney Spencer Band
I think you would be welcome to the mix by all of us Dad! 👍 I have a suggestion for you. This is one of.my all time favorite bands. Their first self titled album is from 1970 by the band Lucifer's Friend, Album title is (Lucifer's Friend) I'd say you should review the song (Ride The Sky) the first song on side one. Truthfully, I think you you'll like the whole album. Take care!!
Reactions for Dad! Some deep cuts and new cuts!!
A.F.U. - Van Halen (Top 5 VH for me)
When I’m Gone - Dirty Honey
Heartbreaker - Dirty Honey
Corporal Clegg - Pink Floyd
On The Other Side - Kansas
The Wall - Kansas
Die Young - Black Sabbath (You probably know this)
Vicarious - Tool
Collide - Black Country Communion (Glenn Hughes, Derek Sherinian, Joe Bonamassa, Jason Bohnam)
Just - Radiohead
The Analog Kid - Rush
Satisfaction Guaranteed - The Firm
School/Bloody Well Right - Supertramp
In The Dead Of Night/By The Light Of Day/Presto Vivace And Reprise - U.K.
You Wanted The Best - Kiss
Anything off of Smith/Kotzens new debut record, Adrian Smith from Maiden and Richie Kotzen, top 10 album for me, really reminds me of Soundgarden a bit. Some People, Scars, and Running are my favorites.
Wow I put a lot 😂
So this doesn't have to be for your channel (but there are songs that could be)... I just want to recommend two full albums simply because I think you might like them. i.e. For your personal enjoyment. I was pretty blown away the first time I heard them:
Steven Wilson: Hand. Cannot. Erase. What an emotional roller coaster of an album. You like Rush? You like Pink Floyd? Maybe some other progressive rock here and there? You'll love this album. Guthrie Govan's guitar work on the album doesn't hurt. Oh and it's "headphone music" for sure lol.
My second "highly recommended" is Ayreon: The Human Equation. This is a double-album set that also shows influences of Rush, Pink Floyd, Yes, and more modern sounds. There's also Celtic influences and a really interesting mix of instrument types and genres. It was more of a project really and features vocals and instrument playing from a wide variety of very accomplished musicians. I could go on and on about it lol.
Anyhow, you owe it to yourself to give both albums a listen if you never have. Cheers!
Kiss tears are falling Also kiss alive 3 creatures of the night. Kiss unholy and forever. God gave Rock and roll to you II
Glad to hear Claire & Walker are doing well. During one of your livestreams a few months back, you spoke of wanting to hear more female bands and I suggested Fanny. They were the first all-female group to release an album for a major label (Reprise) back in 1970. In all, they released four albums for Reprise and one album on Casablanca Records, but received little attention for their efforts until the past couple of years when their live performances won a new generation of fans. Later this month, a documentary "Fanny: The Right to Rock" will have its U.S. debut. In particular, I would recommend you watch the Beat Club footage. It is the best 35 minutes you will spend all week. Or if you want to focus on a specific song then I would recommend either the Beat Club performance of "Blind Alley" or "Special Care". It will open new doors. It did for me.
Hey dad. Sounds like things are finally slowing down for everyone. Time for some more reactions. Not going to suggest a song. I sent you plenty of videos already. Hope everyone has a great summer. God knows we all deserve one! By the way, comment #915.🎧🎧
My recommendation is YES - South Side of the Sky. The live at Montreal version is great, as Rick and Steve have a great duel near the end.
The band you need to hear, that I'm guessing you haven't is U.K.. Their feature piece on the album is the opening track that is a 3-part 13 minute Suite titled 'In the Dead of Night', which also includes part 2 'By the Light of Day' and 'Presto Vivace Reprise'.
In 2015, Rolling Stone magazine ranked it as the 30th best progressive rock album of all time (it easily makes my top 10).
I shared with you what Ty Tabor of Kings X said, but here it is again, for everyone in the comments:
"In an interview with the TeamRock site in 2016, Ty Tabor of King's X selected the album as his top pick in a "5 Essential Guitar Albums" list, stating, "I had never heard anybody think about playing guitar the way that [Holdsworth] plays on that record"
Did you mean Live at Montreux? Switzerland. I still think the 35th Anniversary video version is slightly better. I sent dad the video months ago!🎧🎧
@@jeffschielka7845 Oops, lol. Yes. Montreux. I'm a goof 😛
@@Lightmane No you're not. Just a typo. I knew what you meant.🎧🎧
@@jeffschielka7845 Actually, I thought it said Montreal. It looks very similar. Besides, isn't that just French for Montreal? 😛
@@Lightmane Not sure. I do know it's the jazz festival in Switzerland. Lol.🎧🎧
HEY!!
Dad! 👍. You got two awesome people/reactors. Claire and Walker are definitely to be recognized and deserving of praise.
I truly have no idea if you’ve heard this or not, “The King Will Come” by Wishbone Ash.
A really great, melodic guitar song. Good vocals. The prime example of how good this band was/is. Hope you enjoy it.
So next time we’ll see if we can find something else. Cheers to all, Slán 🇮🇪
The Fratellis - Need A Little Love
I love the idea. I'd be glad to help you discover more music, in addition to helping Claire and Walker.
Here's a song that I discovered, last year, which is very relevant. It's a Metal song. The band is relatively new, and I only found out about it, just before finding the song.
Night Demon - Vysteria
Skillet- Resistance or Monster, Red- Breathe into me, Flyleaf/Lacey Sturm- fully alive all newer Christian music. Older music April Wine- Sign of the gypsy queen, Triumph- Lay it on the line and MOUNTAIN- Mississippi Queen. Come on Dad, my daughter just graduated college from Oklahoma Baptist University with honors and I am so proud. I know your going to be as well.
The Worst Things Beautiful - Ours
One I've always been wanting is Electric Avenue by Eddie Grant.
Music suggestions for "Dad" -- Reggae: Anthony B "Rub a Dub Party"; International Hip Hop/Pop: Grasu XXL feat. AMI "Deja Vu"
Here are some of my favourite songs, try reacting to these tunes.
Paul McCartney - the back seat of my car
Paul McCartney - ballroom dancing (from the Paul McCartney film "Give My Regards To Broad Street" play the version from this film)
Ringo Starr - the No No Song
Uriah Heep - The Magician's birthday
Uriah Heep - The Wizard
Black Sabbath - The Wizard
Kiss - all hell's breaking loose
Meatloaf and Cher - dead ringer for love
Cher - Hell on Wheels (from the 1979 Linda Blair film "Roller Boogie")
Blotto - Metal head
Sam Kinison - Wild Thing
The Grateful Dead - Shakedown Street
The Grateful Dead - throwing stones
The Grateful Dead - Casey Jones
Pat Benatar - sex as a weapon
Pat Benatar - promises in the dark
Pat Benatar - all fired up
Sass Jordan - tell somebody
Sass Jordan - Double Trouble
SASS Jordan - so hard
Sass Jordan - high road easy
Alannah Myles - Love Is
Alannah Myles - Black Velvet
Sammy Davis jr. - The Candy Man (his cover version of the song from the film "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory")
The Mike Curb Congregation - we'll sing in the sunshine
The Mike Curb Congregation - Burning Bridges (from the Clint Eastwood War film "Kelly's Heroes")
Donny and Marie - you broke my heart (do the album version not the one from the TV show with Donny singing, the album version they do it as a duet)
The kids of Fame - starmaker ( from the 80s TV show Fame)
Hey, Dad. I'm another Dad. I would like to suggest Tom MacDonald for you. I'm blown away from his and his girlfriend's work. Their independent, no label and have been climbing the charts. You can find him here on YT.
"Fake Woke" and "Clown World" are good. I'm not even into rap, with minor exceptions (Beastie Boys and some other 80s rap). I still need to check out some of his other stuff.
The Damned New rose
"Firth of fifth" by Genesis is an awesome song to listen too. Looking forward to you guys coming back!
How about Zoot Suit Riot by Cherry Poppin' Daddies or Hell by Squirrel Nut Zippers?
As a 50 year old who loves classic rock I recommend Kanye, Hey Momma. This is the most moving and beautifully written hip hop song I've ever heard.
I've been trying to get someone to react to 'Living In a Dream' by the Arc Angels. They were made up of Texas musicians in the Stevie Ray Vaughan network who got together after SRV's death. In fact, the rhythm section was Double Trouble (the bassist and drummer for SRV). Great 90's blues-rock.
Matthew Lee Great idea!
I second that. That is a great idea.
Splendid song.
Would be interested in what you think of Fish album vigil in a wilderness.of mirrors one of my all time favs
Humans Being - Van Halen (extended version)
"Silent Lucidity" by Queensryche.
Anything falling in reverse as of recent within 2019-2021, it’s a little more pg13 but I think dad would be impressed by the production of the videos and the WIDE range of variety in every song, the kids might enjoy the videos over the music. But like I said pg13, maybe dad does some solo reactions lol, but DO THEM 😎
Ride the sky by Lucifers friend ....1970...very good heavy metal French horn lol incorporated into a Ronnie James Dio sorta type song
Bjork - “Play Dead”
Dad, you should absolutely check out Southern Backtones. It's relatively new stuff by this small indie band but the music really makes up for it, at least to me. The singer's name is Hank Schyma and he released his solo debut album in 2015 as Pecos Hank, so you can check it out as well.
Do you know The Mars Volta? If not, there are a lot of amazing songs to choose from. Let's say "L'Via L'Viaquez" for starters.
My all time favorite Triumph track, which is a bit deeper cut…, “Stranger In A Strange Land” showcases so much of what makes Triumph and epic band. They were not just a lesser version of Rush, like I know far too many discount them, as being…
Here’s a link.

Muse - Madness
Hi, Dad, Nice to hear from You, again? This song is from Lara Fabian Live "Nue - 2002" Je T'aime...It is Jazz-influenced (?) but a little bit newer than You're used to! Excellent Song!! If all else fails, try "Golden Country" by REO Speedwagon, LIVE version, another very good song!! Did I say "Je T'aime" is an EXCELLENT SONG!!! Her vocals are INCREDIBLE!!!
How about “Sea Shanty’s” by Home Free vocal band? A Capella group.
Would love to see you guys react to Queen live with Roger Daltrey from The Who on vocals as they perform "I Want It All" from the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert at Wembley Stadium in 1992. It's an incredibly great live performance but I've never seen anyone react to it before. Would be great if you guys were the first!
You should check out King’s X- especially Gretchen Goes to Nebraska. Great musicians, sweet harmonies, heavy but very tuneful. You should introduce them to more Yes- they loved Roundabout, and there’s a huge catalogue
King's X is Dad's favorite band.

Opheliac by Emilie Autumn and Girl Anachronism by The Dresden Dolls
I would go with any of the singles off Thunder's new album (All the right noises) - I favour You're gonna be my girl because it is a great live performance,. I don't think Thunder have been as popular in the US as they are in the UK. The new Del Amitri album Fatal Mistakes, particularly It's Feelings. Crowded House - To the Island, again off their new album. New Manic Street Preachers - Orwellian. Rory Gallagher - Tattoo'd Lady (From "Irish Tour" DVD.
