I’m a big fan of TSO. I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to see them perform many times. They never disappoint.

TSO brings a certain je ne sais quoi to the traditional music of Christmas. A great niche of their own.
Sarajevo 12/24 is almost a mainstay for some rock stations in the spirit of the season.

I've seen this band in concert twice when they came to Cincinnati and let me tell I was not disappointed. They put on one heck of a show if you ever get the chance to see them go it's such an experience. Glad you guys are back

Dead Winter Dead, the whole album, is amazing. So many people just know TSO for the 'carol of the bells' when it was really Savatage that did it first.

I've never seen them ,but I hear they put on a great show, at rock concert volume.(shatter the windows and rattle the walls) One of these years I'll have to fix that.
TSO features some former members of Savatage and they brought the symphonic metal sound with them.
Walker, as you get older, the neck muscles will strengthen and you won't need the post headbanging neckbrace. lol

Back during the glam-metal craze of the 80's, orthopedists actually reported an uptick in people coming in for neck pain. Repeating head-banging movements had caused strains of the neck muscles.
There's not many other Metal/Hard Rock Christmas songs, and even fewer that are actually good: Twisted Sister has their own take on "O come all Ye Faithful" which is a bit gimmicky, but fun.
Uniquely Rock -- maybe more punk, technically -- would be The Kinks - Father Christmas.

There was a whole series of instrumental guitar albums with Christmas themes...they were called Merry Axemas, Volumes 1, 2, etc. Also, the Ted Nugent version of "Deck the Halls" is pretty cool.
They were amazing live when I saw them a few years ago. I’ve been to well over a hundred concrete in my life and these guys and their performance ranks in the Top 10 for sure!

TSO!!!! Finally someone reacts to them. Some other great songs by them include "Wish Liszt (Toy Shop Madness)". Cool piano and guitar dual on that one. For great vocals listen to "Christmas Canon Rock" by TSO. There are some killer live versions on youtube. Another very powerful TSO song with vocals is "For the Sake of Our Brother". That one will give you goosebumps. There are plenty of more amazing instrumentals by TSO of course. "Siberian Sleigh Ride", "Christmas Jam", "O Come All Ye Faithful/ O Holy Night", "A Mad Russian's Christmas", etc. I saw them live in 2005 and it was one of the best concerts I've ever seen. I hope you do more of their songs before Christmas.
