  • If you live in a rural area and are exploring Starlink as an internet option, I'll walk you through the full satellite setup process and give you my thoughts on its performance. I mounted mine using the Starlink short wall mount, which requires a few additional steps. Also, I'll show you how to easily move any old satellites that you want to get rid of, as well as how to use a 3rd-party mesh router instead of the included Starlink Router.

    Great video.
Now I got a better impression of the size of this mount for my installation on the roof of my rental apartment where I have only small room for the pipe.
    Thanks.

Great video. Thank you. I just ordered the short wall mount. My home is in the CA High Desert and can have very high winds..gusts up to 40 mph. I'm not worried about the strength of the mount, rather the eves that I will be mounting to. I have this image in my mind of the Satellite dish rocking in the wind and the eve cracking. Do you think that is a realistic concern?

It's tough to say without seeing the eaves firsthand. Ideally you'd want at least an inch or two of material to screw into; if you don't have that, you may try to reinforce it somehow. But if it's a well made eave then you probably shouldn't have any issues. Best of luck!
