- Two friends who stopped at a Detroit gas station early Saturday were shot by a man who was arguing with the clerk. One of the men was killed and the other needs surgery to remove bullets from his hand.

So, are we all just going to ignore the part where it was said that the guy told the store clerk that he would start shooting everyone in the store if he didn't unlock the doors? I take that to mean that the guy wanted to exit the store and the store clerk refused to open the doors for some reason I don't understand. If you are the store clerk and you are having a misunderstanding with someone in the store and it seems to be that serious then don't let other shoppers into the store. I mean the shooter is a heartless piece of crap for doing what he did but I think that store clerk deserves the blame for getting those customers shot.

The store and the guy were in the middle of an argument(1) The store clerk let other people into the store and therefore invited them into the misunderstanding as opposed to locking the doors before anyone else could come into the store.(2) In the video it is stated that the gunman told the store that if he didn't unlock the doors he was going to start shooting the people in the store.( 3)The store clerk refused to unlock the doors and those people were shot as a result. connect the dots.

It's crazy how people can be so heartless and numb they don't even see another human they just see an enemy or a Target. As a combat veteran and someone who carries a firearm you always have to keep a level and cool head. I had a crazy knife-wielding carjacker that was trying to steal someone's car and I thought they were just stranded but then I found out they were being carjacked. Then the guy came at me I let him get way closer than I should have and I had every legal right to shoot him but I still didn't do it. I've seen enough death and I just really hope I never have to see anymore. I was able to track the guy and get them arrested though.

He had a choice to allow the innocent bystanders access to escape the situation before it escalated into the tragedy that it became. 🔒 Locking everyone inside 💠 was a very bad 😭 decision and it cost a man his life!

It's so easy to judge what someone "should have done"... but when you are in a surreal situation, and taken by surprise, it's not uncommon to make mistakes in judgement. That's why police officers and service men go through months of extensive training to deal with those situations. Average people never having had experienced anything like that, go into a shock and can't anticipate a plan of action quick enough. Obviously, he felt safer with others around, and thought the locked door would make the bad guy come to his senses. He thought wrong, but he only knows that now.

That's why I don't go anywhere anymore I go to work and I come straight home. I've had my era of running the streets as a teenager in the 1990s and as a young adult in the 2000s growing up in Philadelphia and currently living in the Washington DC area since 2000.
Around like 2013 was when I just started going to work and coming straight home and not hanging out anymore.
A lot of my other family members have done the same thing they don't really hang out no more they go to work come straight home.

I'm praying for the family and friends of the deceased. I also pray that the one who was wounded have a full and complete recovery. I'm praying for his family and friends as well. The clerk should not have locked those two men in the gas station. He or she needs to be held accountable
