Steve Austin mentioned that after that match with Bret at Wrestlemania, he didn't feel tired. He wasn't hurt. He mentions working with Bret, you never get injured.

He wasn't even the best in the WWF nevermind other promotions that had real wrestlers turn entertainers, but we're never aloud to showcase their actual stuff.. not even main ppl but Brett hart was there when Steve Blackman and Ken Shamrock we're in WWF...so Brett was more technical than actual MMA fighters?

Look up the old Nitro episode where he pissed off Bischoff bc he made Goldberg look stupid for not being able to wrestle.. I got off point, but just bc the announcers or the "superstar" says it, doesn't mean it's true...or other wrestlers saying it while on camera in KAYFABE.

Bret had classics almost every match…, Underrated match was 123 kid and Bret on Raw. That was a great match that really put over 123 kid… also wrestle mania where he lost to Owen. That was another great match. Him and Davey boy… notice That Bret was always willing to put people over… Except Shawn because he wouldn’t do the same… I don’t blame him.

The older I get, and the more I see from the current product and from the history of the business, the more I think it's true. Bret told great, believable stories with his wrestling. So much respect for that guy.

His selling is underrated. I always believed him whenever he was limping around.
Currently watching the cage match at Summerslam verse his brother Owen. Both of them are so smooth with their movesets. Perfectly executed moves, top Tier selling ability and they actually make their shots look real and believable. Amazing talent and it was an honor to watch him wrestle.

Imagine being just a fan yet still bitter for no reason and somehow feeling entitled to such low frequency opinions. It's funny too because you feel everyone shares your bandwagon opinions but it's only the sheep who think like you, Bret earned the right to say whatever the fuck he wants

His style was really safe in general, though. He was taking big risks. It's hard to boast about having a clean driving record if you rarely get behind the wheel.
Just imagine if Vince would've gone behind him the way he did with Diesel and Shawn, He would have been as big as Hogan, Austin, and Cena or even bigger, but for some reason Vince just couldn't see it and was always trying to bury him by putting other wrestlers over when it should've been him all along.

Nicest wrestler I ever became friends with while working for The Spectrum in Philadelphia . His voice and speech has come back after that horrible stroke he suffered from a non caring kick he received from Bill Goldberg who never should have been in the ring to begin with.
