Just bought a 2023 Suzuki RMZ 450 for $6500 out the door, including a Yoshimura RS 12 Full exhaust and a $200 graphics kit for free. I’m 60 years old had double knee replacements, major back surgery, major neck surgery and I kicked this thing over on the third kick. Was easier to kick in my old 250. For that much money if I want to I can buy a new rear shock and new forks with race specs and still be nowhere close to the KTM‘s of the world. No don’t get me wrong. I have a KTM 150 and a KTM 300. But the way this Tractor delivers the torque is so smooth and so trackable it absolutely bullets out of the corners. Once I got the suspension dialed in this things a ripper. I know they’re hating on it because they haven’t changed it since 2018 but unless you’re a A class or a professional rider I doubt you could use up this bike’s ability. I guess what I’m trying to say is I love it. So much fun to ride. Can’t wait to put the Yosh pipe on it. Don’t believe the negative hype. I would bet everyone that is being negative about this Motorcycle has never thrown a leg over one or is either splitting hairs with new 450s that cost $13,000. Just my two Cents.
60 years old and all your injuries and surgeries you have totally inspired me buddy 👏👏 I am 51 and suffer from chronic arthritis in my spine, from my neck to lumbar, i manage with medication and staying fit, i go to sleep and wake up in pain, but i still want to ride, im far from a pro and more a recreational rider, mostly road bikes but have owned plenty of 2 stroke dirt bikes. At 51 ive been thinking more going for a 4 stroke, even though they are fast i think its a better route, i just can’t decide on either the rmz 250 or the rmz450, straight up i think the 450 but it might be taking me for a ride instead of the other way around. How do you find riding the 450? In my opinion i think they are nicest and coolest looking of them all, and being a mechanic i love the kick starter 👍 thanks for your comment, it has inspired me to continue looking to buy a rmz 👍😊
@@Itallstartswithadream1 if you want to investigate having someone fix your spine his name is Chris Brown at Duke hospital. I was borderline suicidal because of the Constant pain For seven years. On the Motorcycle front I’ve gone kind of crazy and bought a bunch of bikes. it sounds like your level of riding would be great for a 2021 or newer YZ 250 FX. It has a wider ratio transmission and you can pretty much ride around in second or third gear with plenty of horsepower all day. It’s not like the old Four stokes Air cooled engines. If I can only keep one dirtbike, that would be the one I chose. I have some KTM‘s Hondas Kawasaki‘s some would say a vehicle problem. But the YZ 250 FX has a six speed gearbox so if you get on a nice dirt road you have another gear and can run right by a lot of 450s because of their gearing. I would highly recommend not getting involved with a new 450s until you have ridden the 250 for about a year, then make that decision. I’ve seen a lot of people my age go buy 450s and just give up because it’s too much bike to try to hang onto in the woods.Like I said, I guarantee you’ll have nothing but smiles on your face and enough horsepower to scare the crap out of you out of the YZ 250 FX. Good luck let me know how it turns out.
@@Itallstartswithadream1 to answer your question on the 450 Suzuki. I have not ridden the bike since I got it except around the yard and it has a lot of horsepower even though they try to act like it’s a slow old bike because it hasn’t been changed since 2018 don’t be fooled it’s a 450 and it’ll kill you. I have spent the time since I bought it completely modding it out as a show bike. Finally got it finished and will start riding it some now. If you would like to see the graphics and all the other mods I have put on it let me know and I will send you a pic. Honestly I think it’s the most beautiful dirtbike I’ve ever seen. I’ll let you be the judge
@@SKG1941 Thankyou for getting back to me. There is no doubt about power, i don’t to the reviews about how and old and slow it is, for me it would be way more than enough power, and even if i don’t use all the power its good to have it to get you out of trouble at times. I totally agree they are a beautiful thing! I would love to see a phot or 2 if you would like to share. I am in Australia 🇦🇺 So thank you from here 🙋🏻♂️
Not sure why he said it hadn't changed since 2018. Pretty sure the bike got a bunch of updates in 2019. Maybe that is what he meant. Also, whos putting any beginner on a 250F, any 250F? Would be cool to here more about the bikes handling, its ability to turn, and a long term review of its reliability ( could use a 2020+ for that review)
You guys have a d class rider out there on the rmz250 and a b class on the fc250 😭 we need to see a pro rider ripping all the 2024s like there’s not tomorrow 😂🤟🏻
I'm looking at buying one of these I'm 235lb. I'm a novice rider at 47. Do you think the suspension will be stiff for me. Had a KTM that rode like a stone. Don't want that again
If you like yellow, they are pretty sweet. I bought a 22 kx250 and have been a long time Kawi rider however older two strokes. I have buyers remorse and wish I would have purchased an rmz450 for more power but mellower than the other 450s
@DirtBikeMagazine I don't think people realise that pros test these bikes. Afterall they are the only people good enough to get the full potential from a them and because of that they can really tell the difference between good and bad.
Guys crying about a stiff suspension lol you ever see the pro suspensions especially tomacs lol the stiffest you could ride thy have the stiffest then he’s like good for a beginner lmfaoo there all the same class your not going to be able to tell the difference between 2 hp pros have no problem you’ll be able to tell a difference between 10 to 15 hp on a bike
Where are the new Rm125 and rm250.... Nobody but Twisted Tea team cares about a 8 year old fart can lawnmower bike.... Get real Suzuki! Your lost! Two stroke only! Brappp

Someone should test/review the bike with the free Yosh RS-12 exhaust Suzuki is including.
Are they promising any increase in power?
@@michealdumasii5432 2hp. Typical pipe add on.
I have one. You juste need to put a set of 21/18" wheels instead of 19" rear. The bike become so much better.
Suzuki… for the love of god put an e-start on these. I want a new one
Get a crf
The starter keeps you from buying one? What did you do in 2017?
I would like to kick start one myself and see if it's hard to kick over. If it is I'd buy a Yamaha but I know RMZ I could get a new one for cheap.
@@jpesicka492 its not had to kick. I have a 2022
Kick it like a man.
