I love how you magnify the beauty in everyday moments. How many times have I fed my sourdough or prepared a meal? Yet watching you do the same is so lovely and peaceful. Thanks for the inspiration to “stop and smell the roses.” 🌹
I find it easiest to remember by putting on music (like the soft instrumental that is playing in this video- I personally love calm piano and acoustic guitar for this purpose) while I go about my tasks. It's such a strong reminder to enjoy the moment, and to make even the mundane, magical.

@@thatwillowbee2872 my family suffered with cancer multiple times and i survived trauma all without god. In fact, eg, when my grandpa died and people would say "he's with god now" and "he's better now" it wasnt reassuring to me, it was a punch in my stomach, because he wasn't here you know? I know he wasn't in pain anymore, but people who believed didn't understand my pain -i know not all who believe are that way, it just left a bitter feeling like "you're not handling your grief, you're letting the idea of god take it away and now its easier for you and i have to be alone in all my emotions"
i believe i have my own strength in me, i dont need a god to help me. its fine if you do, i just find it more empowering, if its my own strenth (:

@@not-a-ghost2206 I’m so sorry to hear how your family has endured hardships. as someone who’s family has suffered with cancer six times, I can empathize a bit with what you’ve gone through. but I know that never makes it easier. personally, I am a Christian, and without faith I know I couldn’t have made it through all my trials. Having faith doesn’t mean that you won’t suffer, but it means you have someone there with you while you do. It doesn’t mean your life will be easy and carefree, in fact usually the opposite, but it means you are loved by an eternal love, you know an eternal God, and He walks you through every circumstance. Even death doesn’t have the same sting, because the same God who holds you is the God who defeated death forever, and holds the victory. And the best part is, He gives that victory to you for free- that’s called grace. There’s nothing wrong with being strong in the face of hardship, but I think if we’re all honest our strength can fade very quickly. We are human. We all fail. We all grow weak and tired and weary. We all sin and get to a place where we simply can’t pull ourselves up again. And that’s precisely when we need God the most. He alone is strong, He alone can save, and He alone loves us when we feel broken and unlovable. Faith means we have access to the Creator of everything in existence, and even if we don’t know what the future holds, we can rest knowing that God holds us, despite the mess we have made. Really, I don’t think you can really experience the beauty of nature if you don’t know the hand that created each leaf or flower of it. It’s like admiring a painting, and then being able to know the painter on a rich, deeper level.
If you’ve read through all this, thank you so much for listening and taking the time to hear my beliefs. Here are some verses from the Bible that might show you what I mean. I’ll be in prayer for you and your family, and feel free to reach out if you want to talk :)
“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.”
Romans 3:23-24
“The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:28-31
Nature is such a powerful connection to the sacred. Everybody feels that connection, and views it through a different lens. For some, it is scripture, and others it's rustling leaves, birdsong, and the laughter of children. I think we all hold that wonderment and awe at life when we experience oneness with nature, even if we call it by different names.
Just a week in a life like this God as a vacation I will really appreciate it, Amen.
