So you can have the ram air and an aftermarket intake. Also wouldn’t you want to keep the intake cover on to seal the air in there like you said in the ram air video
+Ryan Theriault yeah I put an oil catch can on this car but still it get quite a bit. On Brandon's RS we installed a new breather baffle and catch can.
anyone know if a bad cat converter and/or access port can blow up an engine. Mine did at 34,000 miles and Ford said I wiped the memory, it was over fueled and denied all my claims. Now on the 2nd engine, just over 1,000 miles under her belt and am getting the same errors and engine light coming on..."cat efficiency below normal", "random misfire"...etc?
Hey man! Sorry for the unrelated to the RS question but on your Subaru WRX hatch- were your fenders rolled at all with that setup for those 18 x 9.5s? Also do you remember the offset? Love your videos man, keep up the awesome work.
J_RuSty it was engineered on the sealed box concept. However it still will have benefits over the stock set up just maybe not as much as it would if it was sealed.
Almost every aftermarket intake claims 10-15 HP, my experience is it is usually BS. All you end up doing is wasting $400-$500, generate codes, and cause drive ability issues, because the sensors don't see the same sort of air flow. The stock intake on this car already looks like it flows very well. Most likely this intake is a complete waste of time and money, oh and it could easily void your warranty, so there is that. Based on what I am seeing about the reliability of this car, you are definitely not gonna want to give Ford any excuse to void your warranty.
you obvioisly dont know about the magnusson-moss warranty act. basically it states that no dealer or manufacturer can void a new car warranty except in gross negligence or abuse, they can only deny a claim. it also states that a dealer or manufacturer may not arbitrarily deny a warranty claim simply because aftermarket parts have been used or present. the part(s) must have caused or contributed to the cause for which the claim was sought. a dealer MUST troubleshoot, they cant just point and assume.
Oh man heard that high pitch sound in my mishimoto intake once i did a cold start and installed the Turbosmart dualport had me worried af
would there be any point in having the big mouth intake now as the standard box has been removed ?
Wow crazy to see how much more secure the sensor sits in the intake in the black one, compared to the blue model. Kinda just wobbles around in mine.
+PubsWubs yeah this one was tight. Maybe put some electrical tape around it to snug it up.
your videos are good watching man. nice work, keep it up
Travis Power thanks Travis!

I don't see a link to the impact driver :(
Great install video Blake. So jealous of your quality.
instaBlaster
Nibbs= grommets & studs, or mounting posts. Much better technical terms than "things."
that matching color TSHIRT
Bao Duong where did he go....😉
Diggin the beard brother
Nice video again Blake . Was there any reason as for having two differing air intake mods in a short space for the owner ? Witch one do you prefer ?
Liam Fitzpatrick yes, I filmed them the same day. He lives 2 hours away from me.
Nice video. How much powa you adding?
That blow by is worrying. I installed an AOS on my WRX for some piece of mind.

michael decouto +35 on 265/35R18 tire
cant reuse the velossa tech airbox seal
Whats a coke bottle effect?
what did the air in take do to the car? did it get more hp?
1:28 😳 That's a $50k pipe you just threw lol
TheBeardedMan wat
Was the big mouth and sealed box not cutting it for him? Curious as it was only on for about 2 weeks
J_RuSty I had both products to install the same day. The bigmouth is still on the car just not sealed.
I'm guessing the 100% sealed box isn't all that important then been debating on getting a big mouth for mine as well

Hey Blake what are your thoughts on engine covers do they serve a purpose, I kind of think they just hold in heat.
Michael Dillon just for looks I know a lot of people just leave them in the garage.
Blake's Garage Thanks Man excellent videos love the attention to detail
I love me some bitches.
do you need a tune after installing this?
+Nicolas Deragon nope not for an RS. ECU will adjust.
Was wiggling the pipe supposed to be a joke lol
Cullen Chase no, you have to do that as part of the install process.

shut the fuck up all ready
I am just telling like it is, what are you doing? Say something useful, or fuck off.

the way this car measures air isnt the same as say a wrx, this wont need a tune to compensate.
the rs infame is not limitting anything until maybe over 500 whp
All that money wasted on the Velossa Tech garbage only to completely do away with it in the end.
Danielle Koran it's still in the front of the car and hooked up. Just the stock air box piece was removed.
I agree with you, it negated the ram air block off plate and reduced the inlet air velocity in the process
