History: Aldi is originally from Germany, and in Germany they had two types of stores, and one store sold things that are a little more expensive and one that sold regular items. When Aldi moved to the United States they decided to do the same, but instead change the name of the more expensive store to Trader Joe's. Just a little history Aldi owns trader Joe's. Also, one reason I shop there is because last year they changed all of their meats are locally grown.... Love your videos :)

Aldi US is NOT affiliated or owned by or shares business with Trader Joe’s. They are two different companies, Aldi US is owned by Aldi Sud and TJ was affiliated with Aldi Nord. google for more...not same owner
What I like about Aldi is that the shopping carts are always at the front of the store because of the quarter thing and they aren't all busted up from sitting out in the weather. I also kind of get spoiled with bagging my own groceries. Their deals on snacks can not be beat when you have kids...I'm the same I always spend over $200 everywhere else but Aldi. Definitely want to see how you organize it all!
I have been shopping at Aldi for over 25 years Aldi is an international chain, with stores all over the world, and the sister store to Trader Joes, a upscale food store like Whole Foods, and Marianos. There home office is based in Germany. Aldi is one of the finest food stores in the States. It has a broad range of items to pick from: natural/health food, some process food to gourmet food, it has a house and garden section, they sell electronics and auto supplies all at reasonable prices. Aldi gives the you best bang for the buck! For example where are you going to buy a lb. of real butter for 1.99! Aldi My kind of store.
Aldi is a German base grocery store. I love there sweets, because German pastries are not sweet, sweet like the US pastries. I hope you all enjoy your grocery haul.

There are two Aldi companies. One is Aldi Nord and the other is Aldi Sud. They started as one company by Mother Albrecht in 1913 but were split by the Albrecht brothers in 1960. The reason for the split in 1960 was because the brothers disagreed on whether to sell cigarettes. In the US, Aldi Sud operates Aldi and Aldi Nord operates Trader Joe's. In Europe, both entities own some Aldi stores. Trader Joes was founded by Joe Coulombe in Pasadena, California (in 1958 (as Pronto Market) / 1967 as Trader Joes) and was purchased by Aldi Nod in 1979.
You're going to love the brioche buns! I buy those to make mini buger sliders. The regular brioche bread is perfect for French toast since it's nice and thick. We love Aldi in my house!

I like the avocados, blueberries, halos and luv the unsalted almonds and pistachios along with the mini cucumbers. They have several organic items too.

I love Aldi! With having a family size of 6 groceries can be more than a utility bill so saving money is a must. We make a list and head over to Aldi and our pockets love it.

Moon pies always make me think of field trips when I was in Elementary school. When you shop at Kroger do you use the digital coupons they have on their website. Those coupons add up to nice savings sometimes.

Liked your video. The first time I went to Aldi I didn't think I liked it. Then I tried their foods and thought about it and went back. I am a weekly customer at Aldi for the last couple of years. I love it! I spend half what I used to spend on my food shop and for me it is necessary to stay on a very very tight budget.

I almost exclusively shop at Aldi for their fresh produce and staple items (organic) and their grass fed ground beef. I also like that their products don't have chemicals and other bad stuff that's in the mainstream products. Their peanut butter cups are so much better than Reese cup brand. Prices are so reasonable. Enjoyed your video.

I agree with all of the positive the other ladies have said about Aldi. I purchase almost all of my groceries there. Chocolate: they have some chocolate covered caramels with sea salt on top: THEE BEST!!! Welcome to the Aldi family!

Aldi is or used to be our Go To for pretty much everything. Until the Click List invention. I've since been ordering our groceries from Kroger and picking them up after work. I am so hoping Aldi joins the Order/Pick up bandwagon.
Also, I'm not sure how far into your Aldi research you weren't however the creators of Aldi (two brothers from Germany) purchased Trader Joes in the late 70s. They're essentially the same store.
Ppl used to give me so much grief for shopping there, mocking the off brand names lol. I can feed a family of 6 with $400 monthly and aside from a few things, they can't tell the difference!
You have to try the ribeye steak, if you're into that sort of thing. The cut is so thick that we often slice it and get two steaks from it.
mssmtaylor1 You can order Aldi groceries through a service called instacart. You should try it out.
The specialty select brand has good stuff. That's their German brand. They have great prices for meats as well.

Hey Tan! yes I would like to see how you organize your basement. Another tip for Aldi, you can go online to their website and look at the sales before you go and always check for their eggs because I usually get them for .57 cents a dozen but you came out really good! Love Aldi!
Oh and check to see if they have a store named Lidl down there. It is somewhat set up like Aldi and their specials are great too!

I shop at Aldi's RELIGIOUSLY. Lol, my family and I get our bang for our buck and we are completely satisfied. The ONLY time I shop else where is during family events where I'm hosting at my house and certain items are not sold at Aldi's but other than that...lol...I stays put! Great haul, and don't be afraid to give it more chances.

This was a suggested video, so I subscribed bc I liked it. You have a lovely & organized home. We definitely would have been roommates in my younger years lol ...Aldi is owned by the brother of Trader Joe’s. The brothers got into an argument and went their separate ways...& ANYTHING you purchase at Aldi can be returned..even if u try an item & don’t like it. They are that confident about their products.

I have shopped at Aldi in Germany and Slovenia. Different name there but the same sign colors. They have fresh bakery’s there. It was very interesting.

Where I live there’s an Aldi & we shop there all the time, especially when I don’t want to go in crowded Walmart/Kroger’s/Brookshires. Girllllll my mom loves HSN, I need to start getting her gift cards from them lol
Aldis has a lot of great grocery items that are cheaper like sugar, flour, powdered sugar, pumpkin, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, pecans etc. They also have cinnamon rolls in the can for fridge that are delicious. The Hawaiian sweet rolls are also delicious.

a quarter, own bags and I have to remember my patience too, I have to go at 9am so its empty and stocked ours gets super crowded. then i check out get my total and am like THIS IS WHY I LOVE ALDI

I was excited when I first went to Aldi's too. I go there every 2 weeks. I go for certain things in addition to going to Food Town or BJ's.

Aldi & Trader Joes are owned by the same company...I'm loyal to both. Can't go wrong either way.
I still go to other stores from time to time but Aldi & TJs are my favs.

Try the Aldi Beef Hamburger Patties in the box. I don’t like the ones that come in the bag. Try the Everything But the Kitchen Sink Cookies...soooo good. Also, not sure if you a Lidl in your area or not. Similar to Aldi.

I love Aldi for the different types and variety of foods choices. It’s just my husband and I and we shop at Kroger and HEB
Aldi & Trader Joe’s are own by the same German Company . The reason the food shelves are stock that way is so they don’t have to hirer as many employees to keep the shelves stock .
The one bad thing about Aldi is that they are a pretty bare basics grocery store, so you still may have to shop at other places for certain items. However, as a whole, I do love Aldi. I especially recommend their hummus, and deli cheese selections, particularly their Brie, goat cheeses, and monzerella balls. Yum! Also, if you do happen to forget your bags, you can use their boxes for free. You can just grab empty ones that you see throughout the store.
