    I can't believe you had no video of the winding roads along the river. That's the best part of the Hawks Nest ride. I remember the restaurant along the way where you sat about 300 ft above the river. Great memories of my ride about forty years ago. Great video anyway!

    I rode my sportster 800+ miles to deals gap so I could ride the tail of the Dragon on July 4th. I have not gone moto camping yet though. I gotta put that on my list of things to do, but I have not had camping gear in years.

    Probably already fixed it but I had the same issue with my Low Rider S and found that the connector on top of starter was lose/corroded (had to remove brake side cover to access it) . Cleaned it made sure it was on tight and have not had the issue since. Knock on wood!! 🤞Ride Safe!!

    Big Sportster Fan.
    Sure, take the Iron anywhere! It shows how versatile the XL platform really is.
    The performance of the Roadster, the Iron and Nightster, the 48 and 72 also. A Sportster just a great bike. Period.

    I experienced the exact same problems with my street Bob. The lights would turn on and the fuel pump would kick on, but no power on my speedometer, and the bike wouldn’t start. It ended up being because I had adjusted my handlebars and hand controls, and when I did that, I had pinched some of the cables when I tightened the hand controls back down.

    Unfortunately, with the key fob, when the batteries gos dead, or start to go dead, it leaves your bike stranded and you my experience they last last about two years. With my road ultra glide but I have the 2023 street bob and have not experienced that issue but it could also be just a low battery. Probably the battery because the key fob usually just dies completely and you have to go buy another battery. Once you put another battery in the key fob, the bike will start

    • @TheMotoJawn
      @TheMotoJawn  Рік тому +1

      Both the key fob and battery are new and good 🤷‍♂️

    • @spaceflight1019
      @spaceflight1019 Рік тому

      Try this: remove the battery from the key fob and disconnect the Maxi-Fuse on the big bike. Wait 30 minutes, then reverse the previous. Pull out every fuse and inspect the blades for corrosion. If everything is clean connect a voltmeter to the battery and see what it's doing.

      Of all those posting about their bikes, I honestly look forward to watching your clips. I find them very informative and well presented
      As for the Street Bob look for a short in one of your electrical lines.
      I have been on a bike since the days of the HD Sprint 350 back in the late 60’s. I am now 71 and want to get back into riding again but was disappointed when HD stopped making the Iron 1200 which I fell in Love with now they are not making them any longer. Hopefully when o move back to Central Mass I can hopefully work with Sheldon’s in Worcester after living on the gulf coast of Florida for 25 years. Take care hope you find out what ails your Street Bob and look forward to your future posts.

    The light also indicates a voltage issue. Most likely due to your LED lights. I added LED turn signals to my 2014 Sportster, and the light now comes on fairly often. From what I could find, the voltage load isn’t as much as it was with bulbs. I’m thinking a load resistor may be required. But, you need to know what the current load was, and what it is in order to figure it out. Let me know if any of your contacts know what the deal is. Good luck.

    I rode my 12 super glide custom down to Baltimore on Father’s Day and had the red light popped on . Through my paranoia found out The red light is security related like the fob batteries or something triggered a code in the electrical system. I don’t know how you put it in diagnostic mode on a sportster.
