I'm memorizing all your information sultan , my beard is now midway down my neck and i'm not cutting one single hair until it reaches the length you have in this video. (I trim my moustache to keep it above my top lip)
I like to keep recapping all your vids as the information is priceless , you have got me through every stage so far .
My beard feels like it's never growing but when i look back on pictures from a few months ago i can really see the difference.

It's always good to review your older videos.
I have a very similar long white beard.
I just cut 2 inches off the length only.
I wet my my beard completely, i then bunch it together at the ends, then cut off the amount that I want to remove.
I then proceed to shape it while still wet, in same manner as you do.
After I dry it i then proceed to the final shaping as you do in your video.
I have probably cut off approximately 18 inches over the years.
Thanks for all your great beard advice over the years.

Thanks for the reassurance that I don't NEED to blow dry. I see a lot of guys on UA-cam that do. I think I'm going to try it soon since I know where the wife keeps hers & it won't cost me anything, but it helps to hear you say that it's not necessary, depending on the look I'm going for.
My beard gets pretty straight when it's dried just right with a towel & combed a certain way, but I do notice a difference when I don't dry it as much or it's humid.

About the *side beard* , when it's relatively short it's curls up easily and is really had to straighten it up. And the curl besides your ear looks bad. That is the reason why everyone tends to cut it.
Question: How can we straighten the side beard without heat?

Love watching your long beard vids. I am just over 6 months in with no trimming at all except for the stash. My problem is the sides turn into wings if they are not trimmed. My face just gets wider and wider. Any suggestions? I don't put anything into my beard except for shampoo one day and dove soap the next with some conditioner about twice a week. Truth is, I grow a beard because I hate fiddling. Also, what is the best way to figure out if a "stylist" is good with beards? I have only had my beard trimmed a few times and never well. Thanks again for the great vids.

Hey George hope you can answer a question. I have a longer beard (15+ months), and I haven't been taking too good care of it lately in terms of oiling it. The ends are getting kind of damaged / dry looking. Is it difficult to get that hair looking healthy again with a routine like the one you showed? Or should I trim it back a bit and grow it out again? I'd be happy with either option.

    1. What is your favorite brand of Bay Rum aftershave? I have Pinnaud Bay Rum and I like it, but it's all I know. I just started my beard back in August and got into the whole wet shaving of my head.
    2. Any news as far as transcription of your videos for hire?

How would you cut/trim/manage the hair below the ears?.. from the nape of the neck around to the side? My husband buzzes the hair on the top of his head, but has a beard (It's a freedom beard after serving in the Army for 20 years.) Thing is, where do I stop trimming when doing up the bottom- nape of the neck, around behind and below the ears? That's the part I'm struggling with, so I've been .. *combing* youtube for guidance.

Ive heard you say in past videos less oil is more but here it looks like your really pouring it on. I have a beard close to your length and its pretty curly. How do I get it to look as good as yours? How often do I shampoo? Hot or cold air? From watching you it seems more cold than hot. Would you recommend oil and balm used together. Thanks. Just a question from a first time beard grower. I just started growing my facial hair from last week, and I was just wondering would you recommend to simply let it grow and let nature take its course, or would you recommend trimming it and keeping it tidier? Also, which products would you recommend in the early stages of growing (e.g. beard oils or balms or both?).

    • @SkyScorpions
      @SkyScorpions 7 років тому +1

Brandon Balanski Don't trim until it gets some fullness to it, otherwise it prevents you from seeing how your beard naturally comes in. It will look a bit scraggly, but that will go away with time and care.
As for beginner beard oils and balms, George has some reviews on a number; i recently tried a sample pack from kingsman beard club. (he has a vid) and it seems good.

TheCarelessVoice yeah, I feel your pain. I grew my hair long a few years ago and went through the "bad hair stage", months of wearing a hat until it grew out and started to look good, I'm experiencing the same with the beard. So for us guys with beard issues, I think it's just a matter of putting up with it for a while longer and it will eventually come good with more length.

Beard doesn't look good. I'm sorry but it looks like it could easily be blown away in the wind. A shorter beard is better
