Hello what if i want to add the light sweep effect (or adjustment layer) onto multilayer without the BG, how could I use the set matte instead of pre-compose ? Even though I could use the track matte but it just active in one layer?

@@ManueldoesMotion I basically have many psd files with alpha channel that I would like to animate simultaneously appearing on the screen and I also have a jpeg texture which I want to be revealing as the psd move around. Sorry, hope I have explained myself properly. I have solved it by animating psd in one comp and brought it back to main comp and used luma matte.
@@ManueldoesMotion alpha and luma track mattes work, but when I create another layer like solid layer, I cant connect it to another layers using track matte, Cuz it only shows alpha and luma, It don't show that new solid layer name...Lot youtuers say that option only work in 2023 AE

Btw, I hope you don't mind, but unfortunately I had another problem right after solving this. Now the image freezes, but the audio keeps going. Do you know how this can be fixed? You can use the track matte for as many layers as you want. The set matte effect is tricky to use. If you scale solids for example, it messes it up.
now what if im the outdated version of after effects? (2022) Theres no such thing to do this 7:10

After Effects lets you use one track matte for as many layers as you want. Do you want tongues multiple mattes for one layer? How?

But in AE 2021 doesn't work this track matte, is there any solutions...If anyone know please inform me...
In AE 2021 the track matte system works differently. Maybe you should update sometime.

@@SupremeQuasars423 You need a track matte for each layer in older AE versions. In AE 2023 you can use 1 track matte with several layers.

Please help, in my After effects I move the playhead to a certain time, but when I click play it always restarts the video from scratch.
You have to change the setting in the preview window: Play from current time
