After watching that video i thought about the vents on the Camaro and I'm curious if that could happen. The mouth is pretty open and a ton of water could get in there.

The automatics in these cars shift ridiculously fast.

LegendInThaMakin Why? Autos are faster and more convenient in high traffic areas. In the past having a manual transmission made sense because you could get much better performance out of it than an automatic. But now it just doesn't make sense to me, and I do know how to drive stick shift as that's how I learned to drive.
ramivalencia Dcts are noticeably faster, autos? Not really, the zf8 speed is amazing, the rest? Not really.
I live in a high traffic area, still prefer the manual. Once again, the performance benefits of autos are almost non existent tbh if you're an experienced manual driver. The manual version of camaros are faster on tracks than autos so this isn't even the right place for you to be having the performance argument.
Lastly it's a camaro. Not much of a fan of American cars, I've only owned bmws for the past couple years but I would never ever buy a mustang, vette or camaro in an automatic, ever. Manuals suit those cars so well.
Autos in European cars are more advanced that autos in American cars so you could make that argument there.
Either way, I enjoy driving a manual more so, nah, personal preference. Don't care how shitty traffic is. I'm not lazy.

My buddy picked up a ZL1 1LE. My gawd what an impressive machine. Chevy is killing it. This thing spanks cars 3x the price around the track! For me id go with the SS 1LE its half of the price of the ZL1 but with 90% the performance of the ZL1. It's a no brainer.

Chris I prefer the charger over the challenger but that's just me, plus they're both 707hp in hellcat trim lol.
He had the C63S. The V is in the same class. The Challenger is not. That's why I suggested the V. Luxury and power.

The CTS-V is not in the same class as the C63, the CTS-V competes with the M5, E63, and the Lexus GS-F. The ATS-V competes with the C63, M3/M4, Lexus RC-F

I don’t think it was mentioned but the 1LE comes with a brake upgrade also. The 1LE package is well worth it if you like to keep it factory stock!
The back seat is not useless. Just came back from 400mi road trip in my 17' SS last weekend. Had a passenger in the front and a female passenger in the rear. She said it was fine. And the rear visibility complaint is way overrated.

Of course magnetic ride control can be used to stiffen up the suspension for better track performance, however, that is not just for track use. Actually magnetic ride control, or simply magnetic ride, was originally introduced by Cadillac, for Cadillacs. 2002.5 Cadillac Seville STS was the first car that received this technology. And later it was offered and was available for other Cadillac models such as Cadillac STS, Cadilalc DTS, Cadillac XTS, Cadillac SRX, Escallade, etc. As you see, many of these models were not track cars. The beauty of magnetic ride is that it loosens up the suspension when you need soft ride, and firms up the suspension when you need sporty ride. Today you can find magnetic ride in top trim sporty cars, such as Camaro, ATS-V, CTS-V, Corvette, where magnetic ride is more dialed towards sportiness, or in top trims of luxury cruisers such as CT6, XTS, Escalate, etc, where the system is adjusted for comfort.
I have the Identical Car only it is a 2018 Camaro SS 1LE. I absolutely love everything about it. As far as vision concerns, I have got used to it without any problem. Great car!!

For a while I was split between this or the Mustang GT Performance Package. If the 2019 Camaro gets more power, this would for sure be a consideration of mine
i just bought me a camaro like this 6 days ago and im a toyota supra driver which puts out 750 rwhp and i gotta give it to chevy they knocked the ball out the park with this camaro its awesome i love my camaro it was worth getting .

It wasn't he rain that got him. It was the fact that a car infront of him coming towards him hit a deep puddle of water which created a large wave that hit his car...in other words .. He got hit with a tsunami of a wave by a car in front.. This is more bad luck than anything else Thats why This isn't a warranty issue nothing broke because of an mechanical issue it's was due to weather. Mercedes would honor it if it was just that but anything else falls under insurance. That's like saying a Ferrari should be better engineered so it won't have hail damage, and if it gets caught in a hail storm...and is damaged, FERRARI should warranty it. the car's systems can only handle so much of an influx of water at once. It can filter some out and cope with it, burn it off, etc. But he got bombarded with a large wave of water that's harder for a car, any car, to cope with. That's why you avoid driving through high water or when there's a chance to get a large level of water in the car. That's one of the things I learned when driving you AVOID large puddles because there's always that chance enough water can get into the intake and hydrolock the engine. Regardless, it's not a warranty thing, the car didn't fail because of any mechanical or design flaw it failed because of operator error/"an act of God." Merc designed and built the car, but they're not the ones who allow large sums of water to get thrown in the intake. I mean the car has to have an intake and anywhere it is it risks sucking in water. Avoid puddles. If you driving on the road and you see cars in the oncoming lane splashing up large amounts of water from puddles either movie over to another lane, get off that street, or pull over and wait for the rain to die down. Cars run on fuel and air, they can't run at all on water. If it were many c63s getting hydrolocked like this then it would be recalled... But this isn't the case... This is an incredibly rare and unlucky scenario and would effect almost any car in a similar way. Not to mention how the Camaro also has a wide open mouth grill intake

JohJohn Mckown my family owns both fords, chevys (trucks) as well as the mustangs and camaros. Chevy is definitely way better. Each car has their issues but Chevy is a much more reliable company. Our fords do nothing but break down, and we constantly replace, and/or have to thrown them in the shop. I think both cars are great but reliability? Chevy all day
I had a 5th generation Camaro SS, and I can tell you , without a doubt, the 6th Gen is far superior. I didn't buy one though, because 1. I really want to get out of debt, so I'm not buying ANYTHING right now, and 2. I just can't live with that visibility again.
You should buy one though. It doesn't have a $71,000 ENGINE.
If the front seat occupants aren't obscenely tall then the back seats are usable, though it is still tight.
I'm a Mustang guy going way back and really wanted to get the GT350, than I drove the 1LE. I now own one and it is great and cost 18K less than the GT350

Great Video,,, however one Correction - ZL1 has many different components from the SS 1LE. Almost the entire drive train is different. Brakes different, Wheel sizes different
Mike Lee Wheel and tire sizes are the same.
Yes I was rambling on that one, but entire drive train, rear end, half shafts are much stronger in the ZL1. Trans is different, gearing, clutch. Front and rear brakes are bigger. Bigger radiator and air ducts. Line lock. The 1LE is an SS with track pack. The ZL1 is a complete different trim.

If you like this wait until the 2018 GT350R comes out. Rumored to have a 7.0 twin turbo V8.
Ana Gutierrez a 7.0l twin turbo would be crazy, but I think that is some real wishful thinking at this point. It would be VERY surprising if Ford made such a drastic departure from the engines they currently have in production.
You should get a new zl1 1le. Saw one on the road for the first time yesterday. Looks amazing. Almost makes me wish I bought one over my c7z lol.

I had one of these on order. My dealer jerked me around and I had to cancel. It hadn't even been picked up after factory after 10 weeks! Maybe it was a good thing. Replacing those 305 tires on this thing would have broken me haha
