Love my 900 , got it this week. It scares the hell out of me. Drives different than my Harley trike. Learning all over again. Can’t quit trying to shift ad hand brake.
Thought those streets looked familiar, ....then you pulled into Vancouver Toyota, and I was like, "Ahaaa!!!" My neck of the woods! Haa!! Good vid. Been reluctant to go two-wheel with the rain we get around these parts, .....but you make this cool 3-wheeler make sense!!
Stalked them throughout most of Southern California and we just bought one. Added lots and lots of accessories. Got it home with your help (damn brake pedal starter interlock🤭) and we love, love, love it. 60-80mph roll-on torque is incredible. Pass semi trucks with ease! Thanks Shawn!!
That’s so cool..! Congratulations, you guys will have so much on the Ryker... The brake pedal got Kelly as well. Lol Should have seen all of us trying to figure out where the mode button was on the first one... I finally pulled the manual from the crate packing to find it was built into the throttle. Lol So glad you’re enjoying it!! Makes me want to run out to the shop and take it for a spin, even though it’s almost 2am... 👊 Thanks Ryan!!
@@Alex-go6ry I’m at 12370 miles and my yaw sensor went out caused the VSS LIMP CODE TO COME ON. I replaced the yaw sensor but found out to get it out of limp mode I also have to clear the code. I’ve tried a couple of things other folks have done but none have worked for me. Guess I’ll have to take it in to the dealer for that. Other than that I love the bike.
I appreciate your enthusiasm for the Stryker and Spyders. I see so many two wheel riders claiming these are for the disabled or old people. I’ve ridden the other can ams three wheelers and they are a hoot. Im looking forward to testing one of these now that they are more reasonably priced. Thanks Shawn.

Thanks for helping people to be aware of a great motorcycle trike, and your willingness to educate us on all aspects of maintenance and care for many ml motorcycles. D.P.Tolman
I would like to see this test also. I live in SD. Speed limit is 80 mph on interstate. I normally ride State Hwys, which is 65 mph. And planning a trip to Oklahoma this coming Memorial weekend. 700 miles one way. Not sure a 600 would cut it. Maybe better for short trips, or in town type riding. I’ll wait for your extended review.
I’ve test ridden both the 600 and 900 and, for me, for the little extra money I went with the 900 Sport. I also tested the Rally version but the Sport just rode better and I’m not going off-road. Don’t get me wrong the 600 was fantastic but as I plan to do some longer motorway runs thought for a little extra I’d get the 900 as it has just a little bit more in reserve. If you get the 600 though you won’t be disappointed!
I personally thing triples sound better than twins because they're smoother. Unless the twin's got a 270° crank, which I don't think the one in the video has. Sounds like my cb500f only at an unhealthy high rev.
I think Kelly would fit well on either the 90 or 600, financially the later is a little more financial friendly. but what about her 48, although it may be just me, but I think She'd be more comfortable on the Ryker Also, I know this sounds crazy, but the Gold Wing was completely covered when You rode by it. Thanks for taking for a ride.
The 600's definitely a Thumper!! Looks like they have plenty of Torque down low but not as much up around the Top end like the 900 but I still wouldn't mind one, just as Exhilirating & Cheaper!! ;)
dang blasted you tube!! It says I unsubscribed to you. Again! This is like the 4th time it has unsubscribed me to your channel in particular! Welp, I got that fixed, again X4. Now I got some catching up to do!!! Very cool review of this "baby Spider" as I have heard a few call it. lol

I didn’t feel that the 600 was slow at all..! It doesn’t have quite the explosive power as the 900 when you really get on it, but that’s to be expected. Thanks for the info on this. Here in New Zealand you can ride these on a Car License. Since I am going for my Learners in a couple of months, I am saving furiously to be able to buy one of these at year's end. I will be getting the 600cc version as it will be more then enough for me and will be getting a few extras with it (passenger seat with 2up suspension & Side luggage pod) $19,500 NZD (around $13,000 USD) including taxes. It'll be great as my first "Car".
Kia ora. Lived in nz as a kid. Here in California anything with more than 2 wheels is also considered a "car" and and does not require a motorcycle license endorsement.
Doesn't exist..!! Well, if you don't torque lug down to specs, you could have the same effect as not torquing your car's lug nuts... There is absolutely zero issues with the Ryker wheels! Thanks Jeffrey
@@ShawnSmoak thanks for clearing that up shawn theres a guy on here who's wheel fell of,it must be a dealership problem, but hes really trying to make the most of it being a design flaw.

first trike Id ever consider riding . That thing looks cool as sheeeiit
It's NOT a trike.
I totally agree!! As Shawn said, a trike has two wheels on the back & only one on the front!! ;)

I like the sound better on this one than the 900. Will the 600 handle the extra person as well or is it even noticeable?
Can you add the extra seat?
Yeah I think so. I saw one with the extra seat.
Duane Galamay I suppose the bigger one would be better if your ride 2 up.
busymountain 600 or the 900?
@@tekdoe3288 600 sounds better but I'd get a 900 for the extra person if ride 2 up

Shawn Smoak, thank you for liking my comment. Great posting of this video. I want to buy a Can-Am Ryker 600, now.
How does the 600 do up Mountains does it put put along or does it accelerate no problem?
They. One out with a turbo for this? Or I’d love for someone to have a new ecu or something where you can get sport mode...
Do you have to have a motorcycle endorsement or just a regular driver’s license thanks.
Every State is different..! Here in Washington State, you have to have a driver's license plus a 3-wheeled vehicle endorsement to ride one.
Thanks!!
Love this guy!
Does the 600 need that sway bar you can add to it? And if you are not going to ride two up do you need the better shocks?
Great for Mrs. Smoak.

What kind of mic set up are you using??

Does it have enough power for 70 miles a day highway driving
how would the 600's be on the highway? screaming like a banshee high rpm's?
I like it a lot. But that looks super low to the ground like it may not clear a speed bump.
Nice video
Does steering the ryker feel the same as steering the spyder?
Same principle, but super light weight and lack of DPS power steering makes the Ryker fell raw and spunky... Lol
Thanks!! 👊
Sped past the intro (sorry) to see the ride and stance of that thing!!! I want bad lol!!!!! I still consider it a motorcycle, even though...........
Whats this wheels falling of problem under extreme breaking shawn?
Doesn't exist..!! Well, if you don't torque lug down to specs, you could have the same effect as not torquing your car's lug nuts... There is absolutely zero issues with the Ryker wheels!
Thanks Jeffrey
@@ShawnSmoak thanks for clearing that up shawn theres a guy on here who's wheel fell of,it must be a dealership problem, but hes really trying to make the most of it being a design flaw.
By the way, what is the gas mileage on the 600? I found out. 38 mpg.
Not sure on the 600, but I'm averaging around 33 mpg on the 900 Rally...
Thanks!
What type of camera and mic are you using
An old Hero4 Black and a cheap Sony lapel mic in an old Shoei helmet... Lol
Thanks for watching!
