I got my Ryker rally, just driving around on the grass in the Ozark Mountains, our land and my neighbors land. They are crazy powerful, barely give it gas and it flies.
*Another Can-Am ride ...* *AWESOME - MUST WATCH !!* 11:18 - Thank you for calling it a BIKE - and not a "snowmobile on wheels" ... like some of the haters do. I just wish they were sold in my country.
In the parts I live a vehicle you straddle and has handle bars is referred to as “bike” just like we refer to a Chevy Tahoe as truck. The thing that gets me is when people say it takes a lot of getting used to riding the spyder or ryker because it’s not two wheels. I always think have you never ridden a four wheeler, it’s the same thing. Great video as always.
I have mobility issues and drive a 2014 Spyder RT-S. I call it a trYke or bike. Yeah, the hater's "snowmobile comments" got old quick, most of those are HD MC (gang) type drivers. But glad most people have enough sense to realize they are awesome in their own way. If I could get a trailer to haul stuff with the Ryker I would get one or trade in.
Hey Shawn! I have been watching your Ryker videos about 6 months now and I really enjoy them. I am now in my mid-50's and due to some medical issues two-wheeling is no longer an option. So thanks in part to you, today I had the joy of bringing home a 2020 Can Am Ryker Rally! This thing as an absolute hoot to ride (drive?). I am still getting used to how she corner,s as it is very un-motorcycle-ish (if that is even a word). The way the power comes on takes a little getting used to also but I am confident that I will master it soon. I added the windshield, passenger seat and backrest, a nice cover, and a locking gas cap. I just ordered the parking brake lock and a billet parking brake lever. I also got some nice floorboards which I will install once I have a little time. My wife was impressed so much that she is thinking about taking the Can Am Rider course to get her license. Thank you for your friendly, laid-back, and informative videos!
I can't say I like them, but I bet there will be a lot of people that do. Who knows, when the day comes that I can't ride a bike anymore I would like something like that over a trike. By having the single wheel at the rear it makes them inherently stable vs a trike or sidecar that are very unstable. Great review as always Shawn.
The Rally Edition is a beautiful machine. I'm seriously thinking about buying one. Where I live, in Lakeside, AZ., you can only use it part of the year. I don't think it will do well in snowy conditions.
I think you could go touring on one of those after all Frank Wheeler on July 1972, went around Australia on a Hodaka 125cc, 16572 kilometres. 21 days 0 hours
How do you think this bike would be on longer trips? Would it be comfortable for an hour or two? Can it sustain speeds of 65+ for longer periods? Great vid, I'm convinced I want the Rally for sure!
Oh Ya... that was one awesome ride. Man the Ryker seems like so much fun and it can reach highway speeds! Just love it " this is something that I can't live without" 👍 😂
Great videos as always. Been following for years from around the times of your sportster and Suzuki DR650 days. Have you relocated? I haven't been by in awhile so I seemed to have missed something. At any rate. These machines always look a bit skittish. Could an overreaction on the highway at 70 get you into trouble pretty quickly? Also, since the CVT is essentially an ATV or snowmobile transmission, is it suitable for long range high speed cruising? By their nature, ATV's and snowmobiles would almost never see these kind of conditions. It's still just a belt, right?
Shawn, Those Rykers look like so much fun. You definitely got me thinking about buying one in the Spring to ride around the City. Thank you for the explanation that it’s a Motorcycle!!!!!

Weather good looking or not, it’s not marketed as a Spyder in any way. It’s a whole new Can-Am Roadster for the hip younger crowd, or young at heart... Lol As a Ryker, it’s freak’n awesome!! Take one for a spin, it’s one of the funnest things you can imagine...
Thanks!
@@ShawnSmoak i am sure it is fun to ride. i just commented about how it looks.
Why is it that ever video I see about the Ryker it's the 900 or 900 rally? Does the 600 suck? Dose it have less features?
Heck no the 600 doesn't suck... Not the performance of the 900 obviously, but still amazingly fun..! I have a vlog on one (the 600) coming up real soon... Hang tight! Lol
Thanks!!
If they are anything like my husband...they always go big... I ordered the Ryker 900 as he mentioned he may want to ride it from time to time!....ha...we’ll see about that🤨
Just got the 600 Ryker for my wife and it rips. I have a 2019 HD RGS with the 114ci and she has no problem keeping up with me till 50 mph or so. Super fun. She wants me to get one too as she says it’s more fun when we are both on the same bikes. For her test ride the dealer let me take one to go out with her and I must say it was fun ripping around on these...felt like we were on vacation somewhere. If she press hard enough I might add on for me (900 though) as i love riding with my wife, so if that’s what it takes.
