Probably wrong place, but for the AMA. Why have you chosen to stick to just poi? I know you’ve dabbled in double staff, but have you experimented or considered props that offer poi related concepts? (Rope dart/nunchuck, contact juggling, 3 ball juggling) I love my flower stick (baton only), but I’ve reached a point that to progress I have 3 routes. Speed (hit myself already and damn could get dangerous), no grips (mostly wrist and arm movements and I do like this quite a bit), and throws. I’ve decided to add the hand sticks back in because regular flowerstick is always fun but it is 3 objects to control and I really want to be able to flip a hand stick when the timing allows. So I’m currently on a 3 ball juggling kick as it’s a better way for me to learn control of 1,2, or 3 objects in the air. Later I will incorporate my new found knowledge of multiple object control into the flowersticks to nail those tricks I have in mind but can’t quite bring into reality. I do it this way in order to keep on a constant instant feedback loop, as opposed to say trying a specific trick many times and failing having to convince myself I am getting better. The first few lines say it best the rest is my messy explaination of why I do it the way I do. Cheers mate!
