if people here criticize Chuck then what are they doing watching testament videos. the man is a survivor and he deserves respect for that. Pay respect to Chuck and remember those who left: Paul Baloff, Chuck Schuldiner, Randy Castillo, Kevin Dubrow...
I Love Testament and this is my favorite song. I saw them in a small club in concord ca, they finished with this and the crowd went insane. One of my best two concerts.
Yea I really enjoyed this concert, It was my first concert and the first time i gave anyone a bulgarian gas mask! Since then I have given countless bulgarians to the rich and famous, Even all the band members of a band called poison, ac/dc and others. I must say I owe all this to Testament
My best friend bought this album, and I bought Nasty Savage "Indulgence" at the same time. Both good bands, but his choice lasted much longer than mine. These guys did/ and do...fucking rock. Chuck ftw....saw them in 89 in Vegas on Practice What You Preach tour....amazing...
for being there? uhmm i shouldn't b xplaining my joke =(. nah seriously dood...it's awsome that u were over there to see testament...i'm checking out these guys live for the first time in 2 months with the same line up 15 years later. i'm so xcited.
i totally agree....how did dimes guitar playing get so blown up.most of the guys that dig dime love the over-done whammy thing.he just didnt shred enough for me,like skolnick,Di MIola, holsworth, and malmsteen.
it's just that the mics on stage don't pick up much from the audience. the sound in this video comes directly from the mixer, it's basically the signal that goes directly to the PA. they don't edit the audience out, the audience is simply non-existent.
i am not trying to put down alex by the way, as he is one of, if not the best lead guitar player in thrash, and i have tons of respect for him and his way of playing which is still melodic and catchy while fast as hell. i just don't think you can compare them to eachother
Hey, he is one of the most gifted heavy metal singers ever. And what do you expect from a 40+ singer anyway? this song was written 22 years ago at least, of course he can't sing it the same as back then!
fuck ya, from videos ive seen of their younger days it seemed crazy, and I got to see them earlier in the year, and it was far better than expected, TESTAMENT KICK FUCKING ASS!
I agree that Testament and CoC are both well known within Metal Circles but outside of the scene they are unheard of. Wheras even a non metal fan has heard of Megadeth or Pantera for example.
they will be playing this song, they are playing the legacy album. also if they have time(the legacy album will take up pretty much all of their time slot) they will be playing the formation of damnation, mark my words.
i think they editted out the audiance.. its either an effect or they editted out the audiance because when chuck billy says "it goes like this" you can here his voice echo probably just an effect
It appears I was mistaken and the cancer was just in his chest. Still an impressive comeback though. Chuck can't belt out the high notes like he used to ,but instead of letting it hurt his act he just altered his style of singing and now he has a nice heavier sound to his voice. Either way he is easily one of the best metal vocalists of all time \m/
No, Hendrix's talent was making Eric Clapton's jaw drop...among many other guitarists at the time...it wasn't a "death made him badass" thing. Did his legend grow even greater in death? Yes, it did. Human nature, I suppose. But Hendrix deserves the accolades he gets.
