plenty of pea shingle and a coat of black jack under those sleepers will double their life

Aren’t the sleepers on direct contact with soil (on the bottom and the soil in the bed)

Hi, I used gravel under the sleepers to level them off, which raised them an inch or so off the ground. These are treated sleepers though so they will last a good while anyway
