Great job!!! I had a girlie last Saturday where I took two stones out and STILL I felt another 2! I thought she could do with a break and this Saturday will remove the other two. 🌻
How do you know that they have them? Like can you see them or what are the signs? I should probably pay closer attention just in case. These channels are great they've helped me a lot. My guinea pig had a lump on her shoulder that was growing bigger and I got it tested and it was non-cancerous but it was $1,000 to be removed and I was like are you kidding me? Thank God I watch these videos and saw how to do it so I did it myself and it's never come back. I had everything I needed for her so this is good to know that I could possibly do this on my own too can't believe how much money they charge for guinea pigs it's even more than a dog or cat
Have had pigs for over 40 years. Best way to prevent bladder stones is stop feeding them commercially produced dry foods . With the combination of forteifeid dry foods and fresh greens this causes an over production of phosphete and calcium. I learned this from a breeder in the north of England. I changed to wheat bran. The pigs love it. Since transition I've never had a pig with stones again..... Commercially produced dry food is ok occasionally but seriously bad for them on a daily basis. Please try the change . You won't regret and save loads of money on vet bill's 😊
@@livingfree7153 I'm in the UK .I get wheat bran from Holland and Barrett as I only have a few pigs. I'm sure you can find online. Most health food shops should stock it.☺️
@@GinaRodas Hi Gina I give them bran every other day. Approximately handful each. As long as they have plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables.Grass also very good for them (hay) also. They will be much healthier. You will then have far less issues with bladder stones, if any at all. I haven't had any stone issues for more than 12 years. 🙂
i really hope the guiena weep !! poor GUIENA FELLA feels good AAWW AND HOPE SHE LIVES trapped in there it could gve her kidney problems too maybe idk but it's looking great at the end and hopefully shell get both parts of her body fixed in her bladder awwwwwww!!! SQUEAK!!!!
You are amazing with these sweet babies! I'm so happy I found your channel....learning a lot from you! I can't find a veterinarian close to where I live to even do a health check up for my piggy....it worries me!
I've always had male guinea pigs, I didn't even know these things can happen to poor piggies. I mean, our (since passed) old man Star would get bum impactions but I didn't realize it's so common for piggies to have issues like these.
I know nothing about removing stones but wouldn't it be quicker and easier on the little baby if you used twizzers to pluck out the stones? Just curious.
Richard do you understand that without this removal she will perish? Do you understand that this can be removed carefully pain free, without surgery as intervention which is both life threatening and extremely invasive?
Hi there! Your work is so impressive! I have a question though. One of my piggies makes the same little squealing sound a lot when she pees. I took her to the vet and they gave her antibiotics and an anti-inflammatory for a UTI, but the squealing continued. They gave her an x-ray and said they can’t see any large stones but that there are probably little tiny stones irritating her. Can I do anything to get them to clear up or to help her pass them?
heheh I am also a very BIG?HUGE FAN of guiena pigs so bliss her and she will make it yall are the owner vets and pilge it for my spriits oofff LEOS will taake up for this pet/ Rodent and i am one and born Aug 3rd 2005 LINONESS ehhee bye ill sub and check out more videos add to playlist and CHECK OUT what i am literally interested in!!:J
Hi Sinstarus - stones are not common place and while you see what we do here in rescue, the chance of having stones is low. There will be more coming on this specific to what I recommend. This piggie came to us for help on the health check day.
You have to check out this stone - it is huge! ua-cam.com/video/jLU1H_PlaWA/v-deo.html 🍇💙🍎🍇💙🍎🍇💙

Hi Having these removed is important so that she can urinate. She is wonderful now.
What a cute piggy! How does an owner know if they're guinea pig has stones? You are so good about feeling them thoroughly getting out the stones.

Awesome Gia. Great to see you here.
Poor girl, this looks like it hurt so bad
Yes she is feeling better without it there, that is for sure.

By the way, stonewall are formed in the kidneys not the bladder! That is they are called kidney stones,
These are urethral bladder stones that are being removed. Thanks for watching.

Wear clingy gloves, these vinyl gloves are not helping.
Camera work needs to be steady, close up, and on target area.
