I own an original 1967 starfire bass all original. It’s not my first choice to play but however for what it does it’s perfect . British Invasion , beatlish sound
Yeah really cool bass I have the starfire II with the roundwounds it came with. I love it but you are right about the one trick pony kind of thing even with the 2 pickups it’s not ideal for every style although I do run it through pedals fuzz envelope etc. and occasionally slap. Where it shines is probably where it sits in the mix with a big band. It has upright vibes and warmth and it’s absolutely gorgeous. I’m going to put some La bella flatwounds soon
What is that black stuff under the bridge? Foam? I am interested in replacing my Starfire bridge and just wondering how they accounted for the arched body to to flat base bridge assembly that’s on yours. Thanks for the info.

Really nice bass, man! (Great playing, too!) I'm all for giving a "well-loved" bass a second life...
Thanks Jon!
I love this series
It’s missing the switch . Those basses came with a metal push switch for a bass boost . Mine has it . Adds a lot
Awesome playing and great presentation style!
Always wanted one. I love hollow basses.
jayme we got the same tone taste, mainly jazz bass guys go off into other basses for THAT THANG
Great bass

That shirt tho
the strings sitting on the saddles have the blue cloth on the string dampening the sound.
cut if off with a razor blade and it opens up bright a bit
I dont think that he wants any clarity on this bass :D
My favourite bass. Had a dearmond version but swapped it for my Jazz.
I know I am quite randomly asking but does anybody know of a good place to stream newly released tv shows online ?
@Jamal Finnley I use flixzone. You can find it by googling =)
@Kayden Aaron yea, I've been using FlixZone for since march myself =)
@Kayden Aaron thanks, I signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) Appreciate it!
@Jamal Finnley glad I could help =)
Se parece bastante al sonido del hofner 500\1 de Paul McCartney
😎😀🤘🤘
I think Guild guitars and basses used Hagstrom pickups, bridges and hardware, kinda rinkly dink material but cool
thank you for not slapping :P
The Starfire II (2 pickups) would be more versatile. The bridge pickup sounds like a regular solid body. Fuckin expensive tho
Do you have flats on it?
These look like daddario chromes
