However, in my town there are zero 1 bedroom apartments for under $1800 (and those are cheap ones are crappy and in shitty areas). Issues is that to rent a place on your own in most places here you have to be making 3x rent to be accepted. So even for an $1800 apt you have to be making $5400 a month or roughly $33 an hour.
