I was told by a nurses aide don't drink milk if you have phlegm build up in your throat during allergy/sinus drainage. Well, that's exactly what I did do. Drank milk, got the cough going, and blew my nose. The milk helped collect the phlegm which helped me to blew my nose and get the phlegm out. I'm not saying it'll work for everyone, but it did work for me.
