Wow that's a pretty thorough video! Glad you are enjoying FluidPrompter! And that little accsoon gadget for HDMI input to the iPad is pretty cool for people using video switchers like a Atem Mini - but FYI, we will have live video sharing built into the FluidPrompter app this fall (on paid plans). I'll be excited when that feature drops!
Definitely I like the accounting of the workflow. These things are never just 1 part or piece in isolation. It's multiple pieces and then the people that operate them for the people who are on screen being recorded or streaming.
Thanks for posting this. I use my URSA Mini Pro 4.6K and a Desview T15" Teleprompter self-reversing monitor connected to a PC. The software that comes with is utter garbage and the worst UI known to man. I never thought about using the ATEM to switch between as a confidence monitor and the teleprompter though. Really cool idea. Love the idea of using Fluid Prompter. I will have to try that! I have thought about writing my own desktop app in WPF that has a key and fill options that would allow for overlaying that over the confidence monitor (setup the ATEM as Supersource and lower the opacity of the confidence monitor so you get both overlaid). I have no idea if that would be too distracting though. lol I have used a confidence monitor in the past though just to keep my eyes glued to the camera. There is a lot to be said about seeing someone (even if it's yourself) when talking to a camera.
Oh yeah! We have tried mixing the teleprompter and the camera feed and so far everyone felt it was too hard to read while seeing themselves 😂 But it was worth trying though! That said I believe the developers are working in some Ultrastudio/Decklink functionality that could be used for that purpose most likely! :) Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@AnotherCameraChannel Haha! That's great to know! :P I appreciate it. By the way, nice to see your channel growing! You make some really nice, easy to watch and follow videos. Keep it up!
10:50, I like seeing the prompter on all the screens. That is a very flexible means of distributing the feed to multiple folks that might need to see it while recording.
Hi! I'm John, I designed the prototype at 15:07. Thanks for the kind words, I'm really glad you enjoy it! We're planning to make that into a finished product if there's enough interest. Side note, it does look a little military-style, doesn't it? It's all parts we had on-hand, plus a 3d-printed case. The final would be a little more stylish!

Super helpful video, thanks! I just got a Desview teleprompter and their software is not as good as this, thanks! Just what I was looking for! 🙏

When a teleprompter rig is twice as complicated as all the audio and video gear combined. Um...no.
