I’ve been in love with woodworking for a bit past 30 years, I love the satisfaction from turning a tree into something practical, beautiful and artistic. I also love to push myself and to make stuff with zero mechanical fasteners, just wood and glue. (sometimes even NO glue)
Overall it’s a very good video, I like the little work platform with 90 on one side, 45 on the other! Very nice and looks amazingly helpful! I’d love to have three or four of them at different lengths and widths to handle everything you could encounter!
I’m thinking the only thing I found that I would do differently is the fit on most of the joints, a lot are just a teeeeeeeny bit too tight. Seems most people underestimate the movement of wood and its ability to tear itself apart!! Loosen them up a bit and this is a perfect video to show folks the versatility of joinery. I like my joints to be tight enough to easily hold the weight when flipped over butt loose enough you don’t need a mallet to put them together. There has to be room for the glue as well, if not it just gets smashed out of the equation.
    Wonderful work!!!

I love to see all the joints you make. As a "newbie", I'd love to know when to use them instead of the typical pocket screws or even just screws. I know this may not be the channel for that. If not if someone could point me in another direction to add to this channel to subscribe to also. Most plans call for screws or pocket ones and I don't want to use them if I can use a more beautiful way that is more pleasing/ compliments the project more and be stronger. I'm not creating projects for sale just personal pleasure of creating something beautiful to gift to someone. I'd love to make my granddaughter a coffee table and endtables for her 1st home if possible. I started making quilts for pleasure of making them I've made hundreds in the past 7 years and I've given them away to people in the hospital, dying family and friends, people in nursing homes, having babies and people who have cancer. cancer.
