I've just purchased the s138 set from Bahco which is a bigger set incorporating 1/2, 3/8 and 1/4 sockets, cant wait to test them out!

Hi Damian, yes indeed, i've been using the new s138 set for about 6 months now on my cars and motorcycles - this weekend i will be fitting a new water pump to my car and some gaskets, i love the versatility of all the different socket sizes in the one kit. Will do a video on it shortly.

I use this socket set at work I'm an engineer and I have to say its very very good I've had snap on britool and facom and these have stood the test
Yes i 100% agree, this really is a great set to have! Britool is also good but i found that for bang for buck the Bahco is the best i have come across

I've upgraded from the S330 to an S330L because I've been needing to use the deep sockets more often at work. Brilliant bit of kit.
Yes I find the deep sockets are often over looked, I wanted to buy a set but upgraded to s130 last year which has them

I have these, it’s a superb set. I also have the 1/4” mini version, I think 5mm to 13mm. I also have the micro set, a tiny 1/4” drive with some screwdriver bits too. Bahco products are top notch 💯
Very cool! I also have the 3/8 set and wanted the 1/4 set so I went out and bought their complete kit instead. Have it almost 4 years now, gotta do an updated video on my thoughts of those! Love Bahco ❤
Had the same set about 6/7 years and 100% agree. Feel great to use and with the 6 sided 'flank drive' style socket they work really well on rusted nuts and bolts. 12 sided sockets are for 12sided bolts and lazy people lol
Yes indeed! I unfortunately rounded a lot of rusty nuts and bolts in my earlier days when I had the multi sided sockets, these 6sided ones are just the best! I purchased the s138 kit a few months back and that has 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 kits combined, I better get a review done in it soon!
Great review, Bahco make some really great value stuff. If you need something smaller the SL25 1/4" set is another real winner.

The 6 point sockets are the job! I did lowering springs on my mk5 golf a few months ago with an old halfords 12 point set. No confidence in them whatsoever, the ratchet would give way in my hand and I dreaded to see if it was the bolt loosening or just rounding 😂
😂 Yes indeed! I could never go back to the other 12 sided style, I've rounded too many rusty bolts in the past and its just torment. For the sake of a few extra bob it's worth investing in good tools if you can👍

I have had the same set for probably 15 or more years. Best set ever. The rubber handle on the ratchet broke apart and i emailed Bahco about it, they sent me a brand new one. Give you a little tip, never put the uni joint and socket on to a rattler gun and hit the trigger, socket flew off somewhere in the workshop and took me hours to find it!

Case sockets and ratchet and the pull bar all look exactly like my American blue-point set. Cool.

Dewalt make some great stuff too! My power tools are all dewalt and they're brilliant

Bahco is probably made in Taiwan , especially their sockets and wrenches. You will have similar good experience buying other taiwanese brands like toptul, king tony. Or teng tools. I have king tony 1/2" socket set, and I like it alot for my motorcycle maintenance.
I had to look into it at the time and j believe the parent company is Italian but they claim the tools are still made in Europe. I have seen those other brands used over here a lot too, especially Teng Tools. Thanks for the comment!!

I'm in the U.S. so I never see these available, but I'm tempted to pay the high shipping just to get a hold of them.
Tough call that, I'm sure there are plenty of good quality brands in the US too. There might be available online too 👍
@@IrishMotoringLife Sadly most large socket sets include imperial sizes. Craftsman used to sell large all metric sets but they don't anymore and they aren't made in the U.S. any longer. The pro-tier brands are still probably twice the price of the Bahco set and not much better quality wise.
That's a real shame, had no idea about that. Ironically i bought the Bahco S138 set a few months back and it has both Metric and Imperial sets. I guess it allows manufacturers to sell the same product in different countries. If you could order a set of these and not have much import taxes or shipping costs i would say go for it!

Are the sockets Metric or Imperial?
These ones are Metric but they offer Imperial also. The bigger set i now have is mainly metric but also includes many Imperial ones.

BEWARE OF FAKES I recently had a Bahco quater drive set from eBay. Finish on the set felt nasty and the ratchet lasted about a week and kept jamming.
Wow thats awful to hear that sorry you got scammed, you should take that up with eBay.l for your money back. Didnt realise there was fake tools out there!
Great ratchet apart from the rubber grip which is too soft and picks up every bit of dirt and filth on offer.
Thats very true mine is always filthy but as an offset to that it is very durable 🙌

It has stood the test of time, no complaints there
probably the best case in the business…accidentally backed over it with my 7 ton tipper…just took it in its stride…didn’t crack or buckle..opens and shuts just like new…gospel truth…hate to do that with a steel sidchchrome case
